The perfect solo escape!

Treat yourself to a quiet getaway for one at this cozy, clean and comfortable cabin on our rural farm, between two rivers, on Sherman Island. Located in the eastern San Francisco Bay Area at the confluence of the San Joaquin River, Sacramento River, and the eastern terminus of San Francisco Bay, Sherman Island is known for its wildlife, sunrises, and sunsets, and its dark sky for stargazing opportunities.

The property is surrounded by alfalfa fields, grazing cattle, sheep, and a wildland habitat populated with migratory and native birds, animals, and plants.

The one-room cabin has a bed and clawfoot bathtub with hot water offering a peaceful escape on our 5-acre tree-lined farm. Here you can listen to birdsong instead of the sounds of the city. This is an ideal cabin for birdwatchers, writers, plein air painters, nature photographers, stargazing, windsurfers/kiteboarders, meditation, or some stress-free, peaceful reset time. 

The private cottage has a refrigerator, microwave, compostable dinnerware, drinking water, and a coffeemaker with coffee. It is air-conditioned in summer and heated in winter.

Pets are welcome and free to enjoy being off-leash in the cabin's fenced yard.  The hosts raise free-range chickens and bees on their farm and also conduct a nonprofit rescue and hospice for senior pets.

The property is in the Pacific Migratory Flyway, surrounded by a 1000-acre
State habitat/preserve populated by wildlife and seasonal birds. 

Downtown San Francisco and Sacramento are each about 50 miles away in opposite directions. Mount Diablo, viewed from the property, is about 15 miles south and offers hiking trails with stunning views and abundant wildlife.

Friday bookings are for a minimum of 2 nights.

AWD recommended and is required in wet rainy season. Kayaks and ample eggs provided when the chickens are laying . Heat and a/c in cabins make it cozy.  Explore BLM and Reclamation land along the shores of New Melones reservoir near Angels Camp. Horses, goats, sheep , and chickens await you on every fence line you come to. Kayak on the waters below as you camp on our fully vineyard-fenced 20 acre private acreage. Our land is surrounded by 100’s of acres of lake front - public Federal lands surrounded by our private acreage and great neighbors you’ll never see. Portable rented toilets on site at parking areas. Propane available on site. Gas fire pits available at request .

Let the horses come to you along almost any of fence lines . We ride most of them but not as often as they’d like us to.

Very remote off grid barn with an&nbsp;outhouse, vegetable garden, fruit trees, and small vineyard that I&nbsp;make wine from. There's a&nbsp;creek that runs through the property with Indian grinding holes. We also have volleyball, horseshoes, hiking trails, and much more!

You will be in&nbsp;gold country where you can&nbsp;still find gold in the creek to this day!&nbsp;If you're lucky, you might find a nugget, but there's mostly&nbsp;pickers and fines. 

The nights are absolutely stunning for viewing the stars with&nbsp;no light pollution.&nbsp; You will have almost complete privacy, with the exception of an occasional over head aircraft. I have only one group at a time.

Cell service is available (T-Mobile and AT&T work well), but there is no Wi-Fi, making this a true digital-detox getaway.

Winter note: The closest snow play is at Bear Valley, located past Arnold, CA.

Stop at Sender’s Market in Mountain Ranch for local wine, ribeye steaks, deli sandwiches, groceries, and hardware. Nearby towns offer bars, wineries, cider houses, sports bars, farmers’ markets, and summer events.

Favorite day trips New Hogan Lake (great for kids and dogs) and the Mokelumne River near Electra Rd (scenic but fast-moving; use caution).

We visit often for maintenance and are happy to share our personal space. Please treat it as your own.

Joyful Heart

When we moved to the Sierra Foothills, we found this cozy, little spot on the property and we set up a campsite for friends and family. 
People loved the space so much that we decided to build this cozy cabin and host other guests as well...

The hot tub can be filled with fresh water and be heated by wood and/or be filled using the on demand hot water heater. 
The private outdoor shower is in a beautiful garden setting.

Walden Ranch

Walden Ranch began with the purchase of a neighboring 20 acres. Couple that with the inspiration of Thoreau's lines and life at the real Walden Pond, the ranch has grown to nearly 300 acres and the small ranch pond has grown to a 5-acre lake with a 3-acre forest and home. Scouts, family and church groups use the site for gatherings. Available are canoes, bonfire, and exploring the ranch's 300-head cattle, llamas, poultry and wildlife.

Fires always allowed at fire ring. You are welcome to bring your own wood.

Pitch your tent in a forest setting alongside a lake on a working cattle ranch. Watch wildlife or hike to smaller lakes on the ranch. Other animals include dogs, llamas, geese, chickens, and horses.

The ranch is within a 20 minute drive to either Stockton or Lodi, CA and is surrounded by vineyards, orchards and pastures.

 Outdoor flush toilets, sink, tables and fire ring available. Forested area is set amidst grazing lands.

The Meadows at Isleton



Once an asparagus farm for Heinz, the property was left neglected for over 25 years.

 They started to convert the land to a lavender farm when they realized that there was more that they should do to enjoy their journey, hence; they incorporated the camping to share this beautiful location with others. From majestic sunrises to magnificent sunsets, The Meadows offers not only a calm and relaxing atmosphere gained from the Lavenders growing, but also provides a central location to all of the California River Delta venues and experiences. From local wine tasting to boating, fishing or just enjoying the nearby collectic towns, 

 Bring your tent, trailer, or motor home to enjoy the heart of the California river delta. Each campsite is extra large for privacy and room to spread out. Dog-friendly.

 Walk the streets of our historic downtown and

visit the small shops and locally-owned restaurants-- Manny’s Barzzeria, Mc Broodery's, Pineapples, or Peters Steak House. Of course, don’t miss out on DeJacks our country store that stocks it all!! Spend the day at the public fishing docks, kayak for the day in the delta waters, or head over to Sherman Islands epic wind/kite surfing areas.

Local year-round festivals abound in the Delta and The Meadows is strategically located central to all. Our small town of 800 people will truly give you the feeling of being out of the big city!

Raven Bear Ranch

10 acre hobby ranch in a secluded area of California- 1 hour from Sacramento and 2 hours to San Francisco yet worlds away from city life.Horses, goats, a 2 acre pond and pool to experience from the comforts of a tiny house on wheels.Wifi is available but about once a month it does go out so please just mentally prepare yourself that you might not have wifi when here. Cell service doesnt really work either unless you are Sprint. Att and Verizon get 1 bar in certain areas of the propertyThis is a place to disconnect but not have to go without modern luxuries of hot water, electricity etc :)

Sunset at Raven Bear Ranch is amazing. You can get views from all around the property; watch from the front porch or grab a blanket and venture up the hill to get the best seat in the house.


A little sunny spot in the tiny home to read, relax, or take a nap! There are plenty of good books to choose from in the tiny house.

We spent out first night here post sunset. As we made our dinner inside the tiny home, we started the fire as the temperate started to drop. We ate and chatted out here hearing the crickets and other critters settle down for the night. 

A perfect spot to relax, on the porch. Pick your lounging spot, grab a drink and enjoy the views and sounds of nature all around you. 


Besides the horses that were roaming free, we got to see and hang out with some of the goats on the property as well! Loved being able to be just steps from nature and animals at this place. 

Across the pond. The sun sets and rises just over this old teepee, nestled amongst the trees. One of the favorite views on this property, but so much more to explore and see. 

Sunny morning and afternoons spent right here. Post swimming or taking a soak in the outdoor bathtub, this was the perfect way to dry off. 

We were waiting to see the horses come over to the house all morning, and we were lucky to get to see them roaming free, grazing, and enjoying the and for Mose of our time here. 

Early morning wake up's with the sun and a hot cup of coffee. Nothing beats the quiet of the early morning in a place like this.

Leards L-3 Ranch

The L3 Ranch was founded in 1974 when my grandfather bought the property for his show cows.&nbsp; In 1978, someone gave him a racehorse to pay off a debt. From then on, the property was known for its Quarter horse race horses, with some of the best in the state being born right here. In 2013 he found our he had cancer and handed the ranch down to me, Travis.&nbsp; While he survived the cancer, he's happy in retirement playing cards with his buddies every week and hanging out with his dog.Now the ranch is known for its horse boarding, cattle, and goats. We even hold weddings and events at the lake sometime.&nbsp; My main goal is to bring the ranch in a more in line with sustainable ranching. Its a process, but I love what I am doing, and where the ranch is going.

The lake in the winter, in drier years the lake water levels drop in the winter (November to March), but there is always water in the lake.

Set up and camp with us at&nbsp;Leisure Street Winery. Where you can&nbsp;taste some wine and purchase a bottle or so to sit out on the patio and watch the sunset go down.&nbsp;&nbsp;Ride your bike into town grab some lunch at one of our mom and pop restaurants.&nbsp; Golf at the golf course 5 minutes away. &nbsp;We have horse shoes, corn hole and other fun stuff to do.&nbsp; Some weekends we have live music!Our property is located in Livermore Wine Country.&nbsp; The property is located 5 minutes from Downtown Livermore and 8 minutes away from Lake Del Valle.&nbsp;Livermore is&nbsp;California's oldest wine region, framed by award-winning wineries, farm lands, and ranches that mirror the valley's western heritage.&nbsp;The property is located on 5 acres and home of Leisure Street Winery.&nbsp;&nbsp;Any questions please contact us.&nbsp; Thanks.
