From here, a short 15-minute drive will take you directly to the main entrance of Sequoia & Kings Canyon National Park for access to the Giant Sequoias at Grant Grove and the Grant Grove Village. For those who prefer to travel off the beaten path, a short 30-minute hike will take you to the National Forest. OrangeRay, home of Pixie's Place Animal Sanctuary and Hospice was founded in 2007, when I left L.A. for the forest by the river to create, and to expand my shamanic pursuits. Being that Three Rivers was home to the socialist Kaweah Colony in the 1800's; which helped in the founding of Sequoia National Park; the area is rich in history. Poet John Muir was enchanted and inspired by this area; Walt Disney fell under her spell as well when he envisioned a "Swiss Chalet" style resort which never came to fruition. The water wars of California began right here; gold rush...right here! "Kaweah" is the name given by the Indians for the sound the Crow makes. Three Rivers literally sits on slabs of quartz crystal, making rock hunting superb! As an energy practitioner, the quartz heightens the healing process; as well as creating an energy vortex. My property sits on an area that was once an Indian village, and then the school house for the children of the pioneers. There was a huge Hare Krishna Colony up here in the 60-70's. As a photographer and filmmaker, the lighting up here is amazing! The night skies literally pulsate with their celestial canopy. A great spot to sky watch as well! The property is not kid-friendly, and is not really here for children as much as it is offered for the inner child in adults. WE ARE 420 friendly which is in opposition to most "family" landscapes....so please note this is not personal but I prefer no children xo Also, I prefer no pets, as it disrupts the balance here with the animal residents :) I share fresh eggs when available :) (The shower is not available to guest :)

Weekend Trip to Delilah Ridge Winery

This was my second time staying at Delilah Ridge Winery, and me and my partner love stopping here so much! It’s a lovely stop for us when driving from SoCal to Sacramento, and is very close to Kings Canyon/Sequoia NPs. Such a beautiful spot!

Wendi’s place is magical! She is such a lovely and thoughtful host and wonderful person. The land is gorgeous and the river roaring! The animals throughout add to the magic. Her place is conveniently located right by Sequoia. The airstream is cozy and has everything you need.

Camp Ikigai is amazing! I booked the birdhouse cabin and have no complaints. The outdoor shower was my favorite especially using it during the night! It has hot water and soap. I think there was a meteor shower because we saw about 20 shooting stars in like an hour. The camp has such an amazing view of the night sky, i havent seen that many stars in so long. In the morning we were able to sit outside and watch the horses. It was very peaceful, I will definitely be visiting again

The trailer is nestled between an abundance of greenery and the A-Frame cabin.

Great getaway place, everything was perfect. Wendy definitely makes this a special place. Pictures of what the place is are on point, ypu have everything you could thing off, loved the eggs, you have acess to the river super close to Sequoia if that is something you want to do. Def a place to be free and enjoy nature, would def love to come back! Wendy is such a great host.

Absolutely awesome and unique place to stay. Wendi is genuinely such a wonderful host. Her animals are all absolutely lovely to have around. Loved staying in the little vintage trailer and really enjoyed getting to sit under the stars next to a little fire every night. Her spot is right on the river and I def recommend taking a dip and laying in the hammock as the sun rises. Location is great if you are planning on going into Sequoia National Park for some adventures too!

A wonderful place to leave the city and soak up life on a sanctuary. Matt appreciates those campers who want to share the space kindly and enjoy the outdoors with intention. This space also provides so much to both novice and lifelong campers and is great for animal-loving children too. Don’t just visit to sleep and hike, make sure you spend time in community too!

Weekend Trip to OrangeRay~Three Rivers

Cannot recommend this Hipcamp enough! The property is perfect for a weekend getaway, and Wendi is an incredible host and truly a gem of a human, as other reviewers have also commented. We stayed in the teepee next to the reading nook and had everything we needed: a fan, light, and outlet inside the tent; dishes and cutlery and a camping stove (though we brought our own); a cooking area, an eating area, and two pool chairs to lay out. The reading nook provided a chill space to watch a movie on our iPad at night, and a quiet place for reading and meditation during the day. Outside, the property had so much to offer: plenty of animals all with unique personalities, river access (water was flowing in late September), and serene nature all around. The grocery store is less than a 5 minute drive away. Wendi deserves her own shoutout apart from the property and sleeping/playing amenities. She is an amazing host and an absolute joy to chat with. Knowing it was my boyfriend’s birthday, she went out of her way to have a cupcake and candle prepared for us in the nook! But it didn’t stop there — she also washed our dishes for us and prepared our firewood each night. She made our trip a relaxing getaway. There’s so much I could say in this review, but I’ll leave it at that and say: you have to visit Pixie’s Place for yourself if you want to experience the magic! We came as strangers and left with a new friend, and we will be back because our experience was that unique. Love you, Wendi!

Weekend Trip to The Mountain Chapel Campground

The Mountain Chapel Campground was fantastic! I stayed at the Rustic Cabin. It was very simple, but great. No frills but had everything I needed. Comfortable bed, clean linens, a couple chairs, a table, shelves, a desk. Close enough to walk along a well-lit path to the nice tile showers with hot water. I would definitely stay here again.

Wendy was an absolute treasure. So welcoming and so thoughtful. Provided so many little things that made us feel right at home (left salt and pepper out for us when we forgot, washed our dishes despite our insistence, provided clean towels, etc.). She goes above and beyond for her HipCampers. The Tipi was so comfortable and had a little reading nook/shed that comes along with it. Perfect for changing, hanging out, and storage. Awesome station for cooking, picnic table for eating, and lounge chairs for stargazing. The animals were so amazing too! If you're looking to have your batteries recharged in the most beautiful and welcoming environment, stay here!

Mark was a very responsive and kind host and also has a very beautiful property. My bestie and I booked a glamping experience and we both had a great time. Neighboring guests who were in tents were also respectful during the quiet hours. So we both were very well rested coming from our trip in Sequioa National Park. Animals on the property were kind too and didn’t bother us. The glamping site was also very clean and cozy. I’d definitely do it again. Sad to have only done it overnight. Still a very affordable option and a convenience if traveling to and from both Sequioa and Kings Canyon National Parks.

Wendi's land is magic! My best friend and I stayed in the camper and absolutely loved it. We dipped in the river each morning and night, sat by the stars, cooked outside of the camper, and even got to chat with Wendi a bunch. She is so passionate about what she does, about the animals that she cares for and the land. This was a wonderful experience and I want to come back in the spring!

It’s nearby the national parks and Fresno and you will definitely get to know the camp owners and other visitors. I would absolutely return! My partner and I had an amazing experience staying in Wendi's land. Wendi was very kind, accommodating and eccentric. She made our experience that much better. We had a nice time meeting all the animals and using the river. It was only a 20 min drive to the entrance of Sequoia and she lives very close to Kaweah lake. I love her every part of her land was made with reusable items. If you're thinking about staying in Wendi's land I absolutely encourage you to do so. You'll have a great experience.

Incredible incredible. Wendi is such a wonderful host and truly made us feel at home. This place was absolutely perfect for what my friend and I were looking for. If you want to feel like you’re a fairy in Pixie Hollow or like you’re a kid again playing in the forest, book this place. The river was perfect to swim in. We got the Tipi campsite, which unexpectedly came with its own reading nook. Two lawn chairs to stargaze at night. Got a healing from Wendi herself which was so sweet. Truly a wonderful person and wonderful spot. Come here to heal, play, disconnect, adventure. So close to the park as well.
