Splitrock Farm and Retreat started in January 2021 after a global search of a place to set roots, live off the land, and create an amazing place for recreation, relaxation, and rejuvenation. Splitrock Farm Splitrock was part of a 160-acre avocado farm that prospered from 1970 to 2017, generating over 1million pounds of avocados per year until the previous owners switched off the water in 2017. Ben purchased 101 acres in 2021 with plans to harvest the dead avocado trees for firewood and replant with organic, sustainable crops such as grapes, citrus trees, and flowers. Splitrock's attraction comes from its unique groves, magnificent granite boulders, and sweeping vistas. Mixed within the avocado groves are several ancient groves and solitary trees that include 200 foot tall pines, hundreds of old oaks, and soaring palms. Freckled throughout the hillsides are thousands of humongous granite boulders, offering a prehistoric feel to the landscape. Above all, Splitrock offers unrivaled views. Over 40 miles of coastline includes views to Point Loma, the Carlsbad power station, and the Pendleton Hospital. To the northeast are views of near 11K foot snowy peaks of San Jacinto and San Gorgonio, with rolling hills of De Luz and Fallbrook in the foreground.

(Please note our 2nd bathroom is a good walk uphill from the campsites). Our larger bathroom campers can use with a shower and small fridge to store your food. We also have a playground with swing set for kids to enjoy. PLEASE NOTE: Bookings must be made at least 48 hours in advance. FIRES: No fires are to be lit by the campers without verbal consent from property owner and instruction. SEE property owner/camp host upon arrival about what you may use on the property. There's plenty of great space to ride your bikes, and it's proven to be a hit with the kiddos! The Airstream is new to the ranch and is a work in progress, but you'll love the charm of hanging out in a very cool vintage trailer. We'll soon be adding some layers of paint, shine, and lots of love, so make sure to follow our progress in fixing the ole girl up! Our location is also unique because we are fully fenced in and have a separate turn out space for your horses (check add-ons for camping with your horse). We also have a small 1954 Camper ("Lucy") that can act as a second bedroom for more sleeping space (check for add-on). **WHEELCHAIR ACCESS: We can provide a ramp for the Airstream for accessibility, though please be aware the camper is small, likely not wide enough for a standard wheelchair, and the bathroom is also small and doesn't meet ADA standards. The property landscape includes Olive Orchards throughout, a growing vineyard, fig trees, pomegranate trees. Villa Macala is 15 minutes from Diamond Valley Lake where you can enjoy a wildflower trail, fishing or mountain bike trails, museum and water park. It is 20-30 minutes to Pachea Trail and Simpson Park where you can enjoy more great hiking and mountain bike trails. It is also a 30-minute drive to Temecula Wine Country. We have 2 full outdoor bathrooms, one was most recently added at our Elderberry Camp Site (site 1), and is also close to site 4 our Oaks Campsite as well. (Please note our 2nd bathroom is a good walk uphill from the campsites). Our larger bathroom campers can use with a shower and small fridge to store your food. We also have a playground with swing set for kids to enjoy. PLEASE NOTE: Bookings must be made at least 48 hours in advance. FIRES: No fires are to be lit by the campers without verbal consent from property owner and instruction. SEE property owner/camp host upon arrival about what you may use on the property. He will provide instructions. TASTINGS: Macala Orchards Olive Oil, Various Jellies and Jams Pomegranate Juice all made from what we grow are available for tasting upon request. We'll soon be adding some layers of paint, shine, and lots of love, so make sure to follow our progress in fixing the ole girl up! Our location is also unique because we are fully fenced in and have a separate turn out space for your horses (check add-ons for camping with your horse). Had a great time. Tent was clean and comfortable. The kitchen had everything we would have ever needed. We made pizza, tea, and breakfast. The bathrooms were clean. My only complaint would be that the showers were cold. We tried morning and night and there was no hot water. Would come back again. My daughter loved pointing out all of the avocados on the property.

We had an amazing time glamping at Vicki’s. The stars were amazing, the forest calming, and we loved the yoga deck. Vicki was easy to communicate with and very helpful. The land is magical! The beds were super comfy and my young children and older dog really enjoyed themselves. Amazing adventure just over an hour away from home. Warning- we did use our 4 wheel drive to get around certain areas (and we loved it). Not the place to drive a lowriding car. We will most definitely be back!

My girlfriend and I had an amazing time at Harrison Serenity Ranch. From the moment we arrived, Vicki welcomed us with so much kindness and made us feel right at home. The property is absolutely beautiful — the views are unbelievable, especially at sunset, and the whole place has a peaceful, secluded vibe that’s perfect for getting away from everything. We also loved meeting the resident pig, who was surprisingly friendly and made the stay even more memorable! The campground was clean, quiet, and thoughtfully set up, and you can tell the hosts genuinely care about the land and the experience they provide. Highly recommend this spot to anyone looking for a relaxing, unique getaway. We’ll definitely be back!

I have stayed in the communal area twice in the last 6 months with a large group of women and both times it was wonderful. Since my visit in June they have added two more flushing toilets to this area and a FANTASTIC outdoor shower with hot water. We hiked the campground and there is such a great variety of options for all kinds of camping. I would say if you are in a HUGE rig, you might be white knuckling it on the drive in, but once you are here, its simply glorious. Beautiful sunsets, fabulous views and the staff is FANTASTIC!! I can't wait to go back

Went as part of a group at the Oak Grove which was set under large oak trees and was nice and shaded. Lots of land to take walks and explore. Met the goats a few times as they roam free through the property. Bathrooms with flush toilets are clean and unique hot showers also. My sty was beginning of November. Not too cold not too hot. Enjoyed the stay!

Weekend Trip to Splitrock Farm and Retreat
Very cool property, beautiful San Diego Mountain scenery. I walked the property several times with my dog and she got to meet some goats and a nice Great Pyrenees. Checked out some other empty camp sites that I would want to rent next time for multiple days. The hilltop one looked awesome and there another hill too structure you can drive/walk to. Definitely will come back. Nice granite on the property. Makes it feel like Joshua tree with out the drive
