Campsites sit along the pond—perfect for catch-and-release fishing, paddle boarding, or kayaking. We have a small area with farm animals (pigs, goats, sheep, peacocks and chickens) for you to enjoy. Most guests are road-tripping, escaping LA, or stopping over en route to Yosemite, Sequoia, or Joshua Tree. Expect a desert climate: hot summers, cold winters.
Each site includes a small table, potable water spigot, picnic table, and fire pit (bring your own wood). All sites are BYO tent or car-camping with the exception of our one Glamping Site which includes a queen bed. Some have vehicle height limits (noted in site names), and cannot accommodate pop-ups or truck campers.
Amenities include one shared indoor toilet and an outdoor hot/cold shower. You may be greeted by our friendly, working farm dogs. We offer self check-in and you're welcome to arrive anytime after 1PM; checkout is 11AM. Please respect quiet hours after 10PM if arriving late.
CAMP RULES
No Pets – Our dogs protect the farm and see other animals as threats. You will be asked to leave with no refund if you bring a pet.
Quiet Hours: 10 PM–7 AM – No exceptions. If we receive complaints about noise, you’ll be asked to leave immediately.
1 Tent + 1 Car per Site (Site 4 allows 2 tents/2 cars). If you need more tents, you will need to book multiple sites.
No tents or canopies on the grass/lawn area.
No fireworks or open flames outside of designated fire pits. Propane burners or grills are permitted.
Do not feed the farm dogs—no treats or food, ever.

Amenities include one shared indoor toilet and an outdoor hot/cold shower. You may be greeted by our friendly, working farm dogs. We offer self check-in and you're welcome to arrive anytime after 1PM; checkout is 11AM. Please respect quiet hours after 10PM if arriving late.
CAMP RULES
No Pets – Our dogs protect the farm and see other animals as threats. You will be asked to leave with no refund if you bring a pet.

2 – Cozy Glamping Cabins: We offer several rustic cabins perfect for a glamping getaway. The Main Cabin features two beds and a private covered porch with a grill. The Arena Cabin is located next to a one-acre horse riding arena and includes an outdoor deck with shade.
3 – Unique Deck Camping: For an elevated camping experience, you can pitch your tent on one of our dedicated wooden decks, such as the Sunset Deck, Sunrise Deck, Flow Deck, or Stage Deck.
Ranch Amenities:
We make camping comfortable. Our property has multiple WC/shower facilities, including a modern block with two hot showers and a washing station. All guests are welcome to use our incredible Outdoor Kitchen, which includes a large grill and dining space.

The space was cute, warm, welcoming, and incredibly cozy — the perfect little Valentine’s Day getaway. We arrived late and had to set up in the dark, but waking up in those hills was so cool! Really beautiful part of the country. The bathroom was clean and the directions were clear and the campsite was nice and flat with soft ground. Definitely recommend it!

This cabin was one of the coziest experiences I’ve ever had. It felt kind like a constructed warm hug. I slept so well and wish I could have woken up to see the sunrise from the inside of the cabin, but I had to leave very early. I will definitely be back to have that experience!

This place far exceeded our expectations! We planned on a nice relaxing weekend and seeing some animals but the amount of animals and the overall scenery in the mountains was incredible. The cabin was very cozy and warm during the chilly evenings and it was so peaceful sitting by the fire or enjoying our coffee outside while admiring the animals. All of the animals were super friendly and overall unaffected by your presence. The staff pretty much left you alone but was very pleasant and informative whenever we crossed paths. They answered any and all questions we had while dropping off carrots, firewood and tending to the animals.

Amazing stay, very quiet and peaceful. Far enough away from central Tehachapi that the train horns are a nice feature of the landscape and not too jarring. The walking trails are perfect for a little hike -- takes a full 30 minutes at a moderate pace to do a loop!
John is an excellent host as well, and gave me a thorough walkthrough when I arrived. Absolutely recommend.
Do note that a lot of the roads are unpaved tho. There are parts that will require a more robust vehicle

Star ranch is a beautiful secluded property that had plenty of room for our dog to roam off leash. The stars at night were beautiful, and the A frame and kitchen area were very comfortable.
The flush toilet and shower were extremely nice touches, and the shower got very hot and had great water pressure.
We only occasionally heard road noise, and the property felt truly private. We will definitely be back in the future

The cabin itself was absolutely delightful — cozy, peaceful, thoughtfully stocked with everything we needed, and directly across from a sweet little group of alpacas. The space and scenery felt like an excellent value for the price, and my girls absolutely loved our stay.
We did add on a few extras (carrots for the animals, firewood, and a sauna visit), and while we enjoyed each of these, the communication around them felt a bit unclear. I had to reach out multiple times to coordinate, and we received less firewood than expected close to dark. The sauna was also not ready at our scheduled time, and we weren’t given clear parking instructions — which led to some confusion upon arrival. None of this ruined our stay, but it did make the add-on experience more stressful than anticipated.
Overall, the cabin and location were wonderful, and with clearer communication around the extras, this would easily be a five-star stay.

This was my second time staying at this Hipcamp site and it has had so many upgrades since my first visit. The dome is INCREDIBLE and the entire location is so thoughtfully put together. My partner and I had such a relaxing stay. Anita was a spectacular host, she answered any of our questions very quickly and was clear on instructions. I can’t wait to book again in the future. 100% would recommend to anyone considering booking.

We loved staying at Anita’s land! It was wonderfully secluded, and I loved being able to let my dog run around off-leash without worrying about bothering anyone. The dome was very comfortable, and the décor was absolutely adorable. I especially appreciated having an electric kettle in the dome so I didn’t have to go outside at night just to boil water for tea.
Although it was cloudy and we couldn’t see the stars, we still enjoyed a beautiful view of the city lights. As a solo traveler, I was a little concerned about safety at first, but my hyper-vigilant dog and the security cameras helped me feel much more at ease. Anita’s directions and instructions were clear and detailed, and I had no trouble finding the place. We’ll definitely be back!
