We also have a playground with swing set for kids to enjoy.

FIRES: No fires are to be lit by the campers without verbal consent from property owner and instruction. SEE property owner/camp host upon arrival about what you may use on the property. He will provide instructions.
TASTINGS: Macala Orchards Olive Oil, Various Jellies and Jams Pomegranate Juice all made from what we grow are available for tasting upon request. Please let us know prior to arrival if you are interested in a scheduled tasting during your stay! We can provide a tasting if we have the proper staff during your visit. GETTING TO VILLA MACALA: The road up to Villa Macala is a dirt road uphill, all vehicles fair well, we attempt to keep the road maintained as well as possible, after heavy rains it is a bit more bumpy but safe. Drive slow!

We are the second owners of the property and want to be as self sustaining as possible. We are on a well and have converted to solar power. We will be building up the camp sites as well, gradually adding more amenities as we go to create a unique experience for our guests.More about me:I had a great and successful career at a very large CPA firm in San Diego but with city living comes pressure and stress. Due to deadlines and even more stress created by the partners of the firm, I ignored what my body was telling me. I put off going to the doctor for months telling myself I didn't have time and, after this next deadline I'll get a check up.I knew that I needed to change my lifestyle but I wasn't doing it fast enough. We closed escrow on the property in October of 2016 and that November I was in the ER. I almost died. Spent my birthday and Thanksgiving in the hospital.Soon after that I quit my job at the CPA firm and started working from home. Still suffering from complications, that summer in June/July I ended up in the ER again. Even closer to death this time. Since then I've turned around my health. Focused on life on the farm. Raising my animals, my garden and creating a unique experience with the campers. Splitrock Farm and Retreat started in January 2021 after a global search of a place to set roots, live off the land, and create an amazing place for recreation, relaxation, and rejuvenation.
Splitrock was part of a 160-acre avocado farm that prospered from 1970 to 2017, generating over 1million pounds of avocados per year until the previous owners switched off the water in 2017. Ben purchased 101 acres in 2021 with plans to harvest the dead avocado trees for firewood and replant with organic, sustainable crops such as grapes, citrus trees, and flowers.
Splitrock's attraction comes from its unique groves, magnificent granite boulders, and sweeping vistas. Mixed within the avocado groves are several ancient groves and solitary trees that include 150+ foot tall pines, hundreds of old oaks, and soaring palms. Freckled throughout the hillsides are thousands of humongous granite boulders, offering a prehistoric feel to the landscape. Above all, Splitrock offers unrivaled views. Over 40 miles of coastline includes views to Point Loma, the Carlsbad power station, and the Pendleton Hospital. To the northeast are views of near 11K foot snowy peaks of San Jacinto and San Gorgonio, with rolling hills of De Luz and Fallbrook in the foreground.

Nestled up to the wildlife preserve of the government bureau of land management which provides more of a quiet and private setting to enjoy what nature has to offer.

On occasion you may see deer, Bob cats, mountain lion along with endangered kangaroo mice, The beautiful night sky is easy to see planets and shooting stars without the interruption of city lights.
There are many trails to walk, hike, bike and horse back ride where you can discover large boulders in different shapes and sizes along with hidden caves. A variety of rocks and minerals can be found for those rock hound enthusiasts as well.
At the camp site you will find a horseshoe pit ,indoor and outdoor games and treasure hunts for everyone to enjoy. If you want to bring your own set of golf clubs you can even hit some balls!
We allow pets for a $10 per pet/per booking. If you want to bring a pet, please add the pet fee listed as an extra during the booking process.
There are off road areas nearby. Bring your motor bike, quad or buggy and throw up some dirt.
Not too far there is a Casino, a store open 24 hrs. and a restaurant call for hours. 20-30 minutes away from the Temecula stores and wineries.
You don’t have to worry about packing up a bunch of camping equipment, our camp provides a 35 foot RV if you prefer a roof over your head and a place to sit down for a meal. The power runs off a generator ( you will need to provide your own fuel. it is a 5 gallon capacity). has indoor and outdoor lights, a radio, outlets to plug in a fan or heater or a phone/computer. There are dishes and utensils,pots/pans and a toilet. Outside water is provided to wash up and clean the dishes. There is a propane b.b.q, propane fire ring, outdoor bench, table and camp chairs. included in the cost.

Splitrock Farm and Retreat started in January 2021 after a global search of a place to set roots, live off the land, and create an amazing place for recreation, relaxation, and rejuvenation.
Splitrock was part of a 160-acre avocado farm that prospered from 1970 to 2017, generating over 1million pounds of avocados per year until the previous owners switched off the water in 2017. Ben purchased 101 acres in 2021 with plans to harvest the dead avocado trees for firewood and replant with organic, sustainable crops such as grapes, citrus trees, and flowers.
Splitrock's attraction comes from its unique groves, magnificent granite boulders, and sweeping vistas. Mixed within the avocado groves are several ancient groves and solitary trees that include 150+ foot tall pines, hundreds of old oaks, and soaring palms. Freckled throughout the hillsides are thousands of humongous granite boulders, offering a prehistoric feel to the landscape. Above all, Splitrock offers unrivaled views. There are off road areas nearby. Bring your motor bike, quad or buggy and throw up some dirt.
Not too far there is a Casino, a store open 24 hrs. and a restaurant call for hours. 20-30 minutes away from the Temecula stores and wineries.
You don’t have to worry about packing up a bunch of camping equipment, our camp provides a 35 foot RV if you prefer a roof over your head and a place to sit down for a meal. The power runs off a generator ( you will need to provide your own fuel. it is a 5 gallon capacity). has indoor and outdoor lights, a radio, outlets to plug in a fan or heater or a phone/computer. There are dishes and utensils,pots/pans and a toilet. Outside water is provided to wash up and clean the dishes. We have recently given the entire cabin a fresh remodel! It’s even more cozy than before complete with new kitchen, vaulted wood beam ceilings, fresh flooring and lots of Pendelton blankets! You will LOVE IT!
Master has a queen bed, while the 2nd bedroom has 4 twin bunk beds. We also have a firepit! Been coming to this magical part of the San bernardino mountains since I was a little girl. I learned to ski here when there was an old ski hill and tow ropes! Lots of mountain trails to hit right out the front door! My Father and Grandfather both spent time here and nothing has changed! It is single story with all open beam ceilings, wood floors throughout and hiking right out the door to miles and miles of trails! Stunning sunsets, a cute town with lots of live music quaint coffee shop. Explore snow shoeing, San epic sled hill, stargazing, off roading, hiking, kayaking, fishing, cross country skiiing, and our local downloading and skiiing mountains! 🏔️ You will fall in Love with Green Valley Lake!

My gf and I and her mom we tent camped at the Cityscape Farm View Summit and it was PERFECT, private, peaceful and the view was beyond amazing. Shane, was awesome and was very responsive and accommodating. Feels like you're truly out somewhere in Napa Valley. The farm was very beautiful, highly recommend and we will be back again SOON!

This is such a beautiful spot. For my boyfriend and I's first camping trip with our dog this was absolutely perfect! The views were incredible, and we were so close to so many possible activities in the area. We came to hike and were delighted to know you could start a hike directly from your campsite! We also got to see the farm animals which was such a treat. Shane is the most accommodating, he made sure to explain everything we needed, was always one message away, and hand delivered our eggs/fruit that we purchased off the farm right when we bought them! I definitely hope we can make it back to the farm one day, and we recommend anyone who has this spot as an option to make the booking!

This place has the most incredible views and vantage points to see the surrounding hills, mountains, meadows, ocean etc. Am so happy I discovered it. It is laid out really well and has something for every type of camper. You feel like you’ve gone so far away and yet it is right here in our north county backyard!

What an amazing experience! Ben has created such a special property. We arrived late Friday and stayed till Monday. So much to enjoy. The property is huge and offers fun walks and mild hikes. The highlight was the goats! We were lucky enough to arrive the week the new baby goats were born! What a treat.

My wife and I had a wonderful stay at Splitrock’s Hilltop Hideaway. We had the whole area to ourselves and stayed on the upper level which gave way to spectacular views of the entire valley. We had an unexpected treat as a whole tribe of goats came up and hung out with us for a while and one of their sweet dogs. Looking forward to going back in the summer and would highly recommend.

We loved everything about it. The facilities are really well kept, and the campsites are so far away from each other that it feels you are alone... lots of interesting hiking and let's not forget the stars of this trip, baby goats! Oh my they were adorable. Everyone is very friendly therevas well. 10/10 super recommended.

Weekend Trip to Fallbrook View Glamping Tent
Absolutely! Easy camp set up with actual toilets and shower onsite. Definitely will be back for a quick escape from the city. Only thing to be concerned with is that those roosters be rooster-ing through out the night.

Was a great campground with a beautiful views of the Fallbrook area. Had a good time tent camping with a nice fire pit along it. Found that the local goats were so cute and the peace of being in the great outdoors was just what was needed to escape the hustle and bustle of city life!

Splitrock was a great campsite! We weren’t expecting such beautiful and spacious setups with running water, bathrooms and even a grill! The grill seemed to have some trouble with the gas and I was only able to get the burner to work but otherwise it was fantastic! 10/10 will be returning!

We stayed two nights at Tabernacle and loved it! Very private, beautiful views, cool site, huge rocks and places to explore. Loved the goats that came through our site, though they tried to climb on our table as we were eating breakfast. The farm itself is fun and peaceful, we also did the baby goats experience and the kids loved it!

1 night at Granite Mountain
The lodge itself was so clean and cozy! Despite it being small, you really do have enough space inside to comfortably have two people inside. Bathroom was nice for a compost toilet, and owner is very kind and willing to change it out if need be! Shower got nice and hot after a couple mins and towels were provided! The view is gorgeous, waking up to it is so refreshing. If you’re looking for a simple, quiet place to get away for a night, this is perfect. My only complaint would be there’s no curtains or blinds, but there’s generally no way anyone outside would be able to see in due to the plants around the lodge.
