I began to share the experiences with my animals by offering a unique farm tour called coffee with Critters and I find that I really enjoy sharing this lifestyle with like minded folk. If you love animals and want to camp near them please join me. Learn more about this land: Your campsite will be nestled among animal enclosures, listen to the munching of hay or the snorting of the horse. Your stay will include a modified animal tour and you can engage with horse, goats, rabbits, chickens, ducks and more... dogs and cats of course ;). I have a couple of spots but I would be flexible regarding campsite. My toilet is a compost toilet.  The outside shower has been upgraded with privacy curtains etc following suggetions from previous campers ;) I have a million $$ view and a modest house. My house is about 45 minutes from the Yosemite park entrance and it's an easy commute back/forth. Flowering vines cover my outdoor porches where we have big dinners when Wwoofers or Couchsurfers are in residence. The property is home to many animals, horse, goats, pigs, chickens, peacocks, rabbits, guinea pigs - dogs & cats - of course! :-) . The roosters wake us up pretty early so fair warning about that - but I love living with them and it makes the property so much more friendly with all the critters. My house is pet friendly and yours are welcome if they are 1. Fixed, 2. Are social and friendly with my pets, 3. Will not chase the cats and chickens. I can babysit your pups if you go to the park - provided they are compliant with rules above. I work from home. There are loads of trails nearby and 2 pretty ponds and plenty of wildlife, deer, turkeys and more. The property is rolling hills however there are plenty of flat areas for tents. NO FIRES PERMITTED ANYWHERE ON MY PROPERTY APRIL-OCTOBER - non negotiable.

What a lovely, quiet, serene piece of the world! You feel the nature around you. I recommend taking a walk down to the creek. Britany was very kind and welcoming, the camper is simple and clean (just what I was going for). Plenty of firewood and friendly animals to greet you. And the stars (lucky it was clear) were absolutely incredible. Highly recommended!

What a beautiful property! We had an absolutely lovely time. We were the only ones in the tent camping area so we had the entire place to ourselves and we were able to unplug and truly relax. The kitchen area was perfect for us to wash our dishes, the bathrooms were clean and well lit and my husband especially enjoyed his hot shower under the stars. Groveland is a very cute little town and we enjoyed an afternoon walking around there with our dogs. Robb is wonderful with communication too. We’d definitely stay here again!

Great hosts in Rob and his son Noah, matched by a beautiful piece of property. Easy to find, and easy to access the RV sites (and the tent sites andcabins). The property was quiet, lots of wild life, beautiful trails...and located just outside Stanislaus and Yosemite, places that Rob knows intimately. Hookups worked perfect...we're already scheming a return trip.

Peaceful place to hang out. The kitchen was convenient for cooking at night, the barn hang out for eating and lounging after full days in Yosemite. We stayed 5 nights and drove back and forth to the park. For some that would be too much driving but we liked being out of crowded campsites. No noise and just birds in the morning. Showers were awesome after full days of hiking too.

Headwaters Headquarters- communal inside space for inclement weather or food prep/clean up, sink inside. Info with maps and local wildlife.

From the jump Robb was very responsive and accommodating! Came in for the weekend to hike Half Dome and this was the PERFECT place to stay. Close to the park and close to Groveland, whilst still giving the remote and adventurous feeling that the park has to offer. Property was easy to find and navigate. The showers were fantastically warm and the bathrooms were clean. The communal area is a perfect hangout and the little kitchen/prep area was a huge bonus. It was really great to meet Robb as he has tons of knowledge on area and gave us some great tips on navigating the park and alternate hikes. It would seem that Robb is a bit of local celebrity with his Biologist background and passion for Photography - I highly recommend stopping off at Mountain Sage in Groveland to view/purchase some of his phenomenal prints and grab a coffee. (He also has a published nature book!) All in all, great value, great location and perfect for a weekend at the park! I will definitely be returning!

We loved RV spot #1. Everything was clean and exactly as stated. We did have to run a hose to fill up our tank, but we probably should’ve realized lol. But as we are just amateurs. It is a very clean and quiet, private spot and we really enjoyed our stay! Thank you for a great location and stay!

A spectacular site near Yosemite that easily beats out standard commercial camping options. Love the fact that there are awesome outdoor showers and bathrooms. The trails on the property are lovely and a bonus for dog owners. Robb is very responsive and friendly with a wealth of knowledge about the area. Definitely check out his book - stunning photos. We spent 4 nights at Robb’s ranch site, and it was an amazing experience. The location is isolated, peaceful, and surrounded by beautiful scenery, with plenty of space all around. Our RV site (#2) had excellent electricity and water hookups (no sewer), plus a lovely wooden deck that made it even cooler and more comfortable. The shared facilities were nice. Travel time to Yosemite was about an hour, which made it a good base for exploring the park. Robb himself was wonderful – very kind and always helpful. He is also a biologist and photographer who wrote a fascinating book about the area, filled with stunning pictures. His knowledge and passion really added to the experience. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a quiet, spacious, and unique place to stay near Yosemite!

The campsite on Robb's property was beautiful and well-appointed. We didn't spend much time there, but would've liked to have explored the trails and spent more time hanging out in the barn. The outdoor shower was fantastic, and the bathrooms were nice and clean (with hand soap even!).

Pine Siskin camp was lovely! We really enjoyed the clean toilets, hot shower, and wifi. It was a welcome treat after many days of not having a shower on the road. The setup at the camp is very welcoming, and the location is very close to Yosemite! We had to cut our stay short due to personal reasons, but Robb was very understanding and kind about our situation. I would recommend his camp if you need somewhere clean and accommodating near Yosemite.
