Additional note....Life on the farm is calm, peaceful and easy... operating with the natural rhythm of the
sun cycle. What few clocks we do have, are stuck on twenty minutes past four.

Those of you who have experienced camping before know that these are all normal things when out in nature but for those of you who have no camping experience I ask you to come with an open mind and a positive attitude towards a new experience. If you think you may have problems with any of these things PLEASE DON'T COME!!!

also have a dog named Sara that loves people. Most campers that come are very happy to have her around. She is polite and good with children. Some of you may not like dogs, if that is the case this will not be a fun experience for you.

We have four lovely Glamping sites at Sugarloaf Ridge State Park and 25 miles of hiking trails, nestled in the glorious chaparral of the Mayacama Mountain Range and Sonoma Hills, deep in the heart of wine country. The cost is $150 per night on weekends (Fri and Sat) and $125 per night on weekdays (Sun-Thurs). There is a 2-night minimum stay required between Memorial Day and Labor Day.
In our family-friendly campground, our tents are 16-Foot Canvas and come with one queen-size bed, two futon lounge chairs (May be converted to twin beds), rugs, tables, lighting, and complementary firewood the first night. At no additional cost, we can add up to two twin beds to each tent upon request to sleep up to 6 people. 8 people max allowed at the campsite.
The glamping sites include a picnic table, fire ring, outdoor seating, and room for additional tents if desired. All sites are easy walking distance to flush toilets and a bathhouse, with large, clean, coin operated hot shower rooms. There is no cell service in the park, but free WiFi is available at the Visitor Center.
PLEASE NOTE that Bedding (sheets, pillows, blankets) IS NOT included in a standard rental, but is available as an add-on. Guests are encouraged to bring their own bedding whenever possible. If no bedding is added, we will assume a one-queen setup with mattress covers only. We kindly ask guests to provide at least 48-hour notice if bedding will be required. We will always try to accommodate last-minute requests, but we cannot guarantee this.
PETS and SMOKING ARE NOT ALLOWED INSIDE our glamping tents! This is strictly enforced, and you WILL be charged a $150 cleaning fee for any violation of this policy.
Parking: Your reservation includes parking for one vehicle. There is an additional $10 per night per vehicle charge for more than one vehicle, which you can pay for at the Visitor's Center upon check-in.
Please note that a $25 setup/cleaning fee is charged per reservation, plus a booking fee.

For cyclists, there is a 32-mile long bicycle path at Beals Point that connects Folsom Lake with many Sacramento County parks before reaching Old Sacramento. The park also includes Lake Natoma, downstream from Folsom Lake, which is popular for crew races, sailing, kayaking and other aquatic sports.
At both locations, you will stay in 16ft deluxe tents. Each tent has 2 full beds in them.
At Beals Point we offer "Luxury" Glamping with real furniture, cozy bedding, and all the amenities you need for a relaxing and fun filled stay for up to 8 people (AT BEALS POINT ONLY!).
At both Beals Point and Peninsula, we also offer "Basic" Glamping, where we bring the tent and mattresses, and you bring the rest. Ettawa Springs Resort dates back to the 1920s like the fashionable resorts in the Cobb area where the rich and famous came to play. But Ettawa was oriented towards families and a more relaxed and rustic atmosphere. We are working hard to restore her to her former glory. We are excited to announce that we have one cabin and a few campsites ready for use and will be adding more as we go. The campground offers hot showers and flush toilets, two sites in the Glade have running water and power. The cabin is a fully equipped studio with kitchen and bathroom.
You can hike through our property to the Boggs Mountain Demonstration Forest or just enjoy the clean air and listen to the wind and the birds. On clear nights the stars put on an amazing show. Clear Lake is about 45 minutes away with all the fishing and water sports you could ask for. Harbin Hot Springs are 15 minutes away and they offer day passes for reasonable rates.
We are located about 20 minutes outside of Middletown. Be aware that half of the road is dirt (and that's better than the asphalt half) all of it is fine for small cars, just take your time. The last 1/2 mile or so is a one lane road, so please be careful of opposing traffic and uneven surfaces. We cannot accommodate vehicles longer than 28’ on these roads. Please do not take County Road 110 from Boggs/Cobb - it is not maintained at all.
We offer California camping at its finest. Fresh air, whispering trees, amazing star fields . . . this can mean the less attractive side of nature as well. We have ticks, rattlesnakes, stinging things, poison oak, uneven trails and surfaces, and a bear on one ridge with mountain cats on the other (no sign of either in the campground). We keep the restroom stocked with Tecnu for the poison oak, but please watch yourselves and especially children. Dogs are welcome, but should be kept on lead and inside at night for their own protection and the comfort of others.
We are fairly hands off in our hosting approach. Unless there's a question or problem, you likely won't see us. But we have people close by and are only a message away.

Maria and her husband were very supportive and made this trip memorable. My kids are talking about their charming three dogs. Vey close to Sac but has everything to unwind. The 5 th wheel was also very clean and comfortable with heat and A/C. I would like to visit with other families if they build more spaces. Thank you so much. Also the egg from Maria was so high quality:)

Our stay was great, we enjoyed our weekend very much. The only suggestion id make is that the cabin be cleaned better, the window sills were dirty and the blinds needed cleaning. Price was great, cooking equipment and utensils were ok, they served the need. One last thing is the playground for the kids for sure needs work, I would love to bring my grandkids but there would not be much for them to do.

We stayed in #42 house right by the beach. We had so much fun!! the place was a very clean and cute, with plenty of room. (we had 13 people) Staff is very friendly and accommodating. Only thing I would say is if you have more that 5 people bring paper plates and silverware. We will be back!!!

My family spent 4 days/3 nights at Sugarloaf for our summer vacation, staying in Glamping Site #1 (Site 30). It was the perfect balance between traditional camping and the comfort of a camper or RV, complete with beds and chairs, and most importantly, no setup or takedown hassle.
The campground is clean, and the bathrooms are much nicer than many rest stops. The camp hosts are incredibly helpful, informative, providing support and modern essentials when needed.
There are MANY hiking trails for different skill levels, winding through meadows, forests, and creeks. Each trail offers its own reward, but two standout trails make the effort unforgettable: one with spectacular waterfalls and, at the summit, a breathtaking “top of the world” view stretching across Sonoma County all the way to SF Bay. The kind of views that make you forget how hard you had to work to get there. After your hike, stop by the Visitors Center and reward yourself with an It’s-It ice cream sandwich, which they keep well stocked!
The grounds are beautiful, with fascinating flora and fauna. There is an Observatory nearby, which you should take a cue from and look up, because the night sky is incredible! With virtually no light pollution, you can see countless stars and even the Milky Way. But don’t get lost at night, or you may get guided back by the headless hiker. 😱

Weekend Trip to Camp Westy Wine Country
We loved glamping in the Westfalia. Everything was set up for us. Had a wonderful time making smores at the campfire 🔥 (bring a fire starter) and watching the stars. Out toddler loved it too. It was a wonderful quick getaway . There was another Westfalia Nextdoor to us that we made friends with & enjoyed hearing the roosters in the morning . Great location Close to Napa, & Sonoma with great places to eat and many wineries. Check out Traintown in Sonoma if looking for a family friendly place to go.

My family & I loved our clamping experience so much! Our tent was set up just the way we had requested with extra twin mattresses and electric blankets. We also had our complementary first night, firewood ready and were able to make s’mores with our kids and it was amazing. I definitely will be coming back again next year and for years to come! Everything was so well maintained, and everyone there was so friendly.

What stood out to me is the hospitality of their space. Both Kat and Steven were very welcoming...."make yourself at home". The apple and berry turnovers delivered to our campsite were warm and wonderful. Was perfect for our extended family!

This site is close to the restroom which is the biggest positive. Make sure you contact the host earlier to get the code for the lock as we had tough time reaching the host for few hours after reaching the site late in the evening

The glamping tent was comfortable and spacious for our family of four. Our host provided a queen bed and two additional mattresses. There was plenty of lighting inside and they will recharge any lanterns that go out. I was also pleased with the condition of the bathrooms and showers. My kids enjoyed riding their bikes around the loop and playing soccer in the large middle field.
