This isn’t a lakefront rental, and we don’t try to be. Lost Trail is for groups that want the “tucked-away Tahoe” experience: woods, trails, fireplace nights, warm rooms, hot showers, and the feeling that you actually disappeared for a minute.

Travel light: we’ll do the cooking. Share dietary restrictions/preferences in your booking notes so we can plan ahead.

Privacy + hosting
Your host/chef is on-site the entire stay (in separate sleeping quarters — not in your lodge space). You’ll have full privacy, with real support when you need it.
Getting here (summer):
Summer access is by vehicle, but it’s a mountain approach. AWD/4WD required. It’s roughly a 4-mile drive on county roads to reach the property, and we’ll confirm your vehicle + how to get here in your pre-arrival messages.
Winter note (important):
In winter, this becomes a remote backcountry lodge with a mandatory ~4-mile over-snow approach via skis/splitboard with skins or snowshoes.

Up to 2 pets are welcome. Pets may not be left unattended; pet food isn’t included.
