Trank Family Farm and Gold site

4 sites · Lodging, RVs, Tents20 acres · Oroville, CA
We have lived on the farm now for over 19 years. The back part of the property was a stop point for the stage line between Oroville and Bangor during the 1880, Then gold was discovered on the property. There were multiple Gold claims on this property. The Old rock pilings are still there to explore. It is a favorite spot for finding Jasper, Agates and quartz crystals Campers are welcome year-round to this tent site on the old Gold Claim of our 20-acre family farm! Drive right up to this fun-filled, family-friendly campsite, easily accessible by cars and SUVs alike - though 4WD is helpful during the rainy season. This site features two seasonal streams that cross on the property, as well as bushes full of ripe blackberries - if you catch them at the right time, help yourself. You'll enjoy hearing the birds echoing through the trees and could easily see deer tip toeing through the woods. Dogs on leash only. We raise 4H and FFA show and market goats, llamas, and a donkey and a cow, all of whom are very friendly! You'll also see our chickens, ducks, peacocks, and guinea hens. Rock pilings are on the island between the two seasonal streams that cross our land. Gold panning, hiking and creek walking is available on the property. Campers are welcome to stargaze in the field, create scavenger hunts for the kids, or simply sit back and enjoy the tranquility. We also have zip line and a rope course on the property that is closed due to maintenance. The streams dry up in late June and fill up in November when the rains start. Trank Family Farm is 30 minutes from Lake Oroville, 20 minutes from Oroville Wildlife Area and the Feather River - great for kayaking, swimming, and fishing! Be sure to check out the trails and seasonal waterfalls at Table Mountain, 35 minutes away. There are 2 Indian Casinos & Hotels in Oroville, as well as 2 golf ranges - and all with in 20 minutes of the camp site. The college town of Chico is about 30 minutes outside of Oroville. If you want to explore farther, Butte Mountain range and the city of Paradise, CA is 45 minutes away. We can't wait for you to come visit!

Paradise

3 sites · Lodging23 acres · Paradise, CA
The Camp Fire devastated the town of Paradise in 2018. Today, you can still see remnants of the fire as you approach the quaint town. Chapelle de' L'Artiste once housed a stunning bed and breakfast among other incredible amenities. Paradise has begun the incredible process of rebuilding. New construction, renewed energy, and a community of hope and resiliency is at the heart of returning Paradise to all its name implies. At Chapelle de L'Artiste, we are thrilled to be rebuilding and starting anew. A new venture with Glamping and coming in Spring 2022 is Burnt Barn Distilling Company.

Estin Treehouse

1 site · Lodging30 acres · Penn Valley, CA
Although we first moved to Nevada County in 1975, Joanie and I bought this 30 acre parcel almost 30 years ago.  Soon after we purchased it, we took our family to Bangkok, Thailand to teach/counsel at the International School of Bangkok.  15 years later, we returned to The States and built our dream home in 2010.Learn more about this land:Our 30 acre property offers a Winnebago/Camping opportunity beside an isolated, private year round creek. The 32 ft. camper is adjacent to a 16’x18’ deck, just above a gentle, flowing creek.  Additionally, there is an easily accessible, large swimming hole yards away from the pebble beaches. There is ample, free parking at our home, which is a short, but mildly challenging walk to the campsite.  Adventurous drivers with 4x4 vehicles can drive directly down a steep dirt road to the camper.  There are several rustic trails along this parcel that would allow guests to experience very private nature walks. We are also willing to share the bounty from a very large garden and seasonal fruit orchard.  Guests will fall asleep with the sights and sounds of water from the creek and a waterfall across the canyon. The Space:You will have complete access to a 32’ Winnebago camper with electrical outlets, lights, refrigerator, microwave, flush toilet, cold water shower room and running water that can sleep 4 adults.  The deck that abuts the door to the camper is fully equipped with furniture and stairs to the lower area leading to the creek. There are several seating and table places around the creek with a selection of views of the water.  50 yards from the camper is a large, cleared area that is suitable in which to pitch a tent if all the guests would rather not share the camper.Interaction with Guests:We are willing to offer this space for the adventurous souls to experience the calm and beauty of a natural surrounding or be nearby to share our love for the property and its wonders.  The Gold Country is an artistic, cultural haven with a bounty of activities, many of which can be found in a guest book provided by us for our visitors.  Guests will find listings of 12 eating establishments within 5 miles of us, detailed descriptions of public swimming holes/beaches along the Yuba River Watershed, rated and mapped hiking trails throughout the county, several dozen wine tasting venues and much more.Amenities:Towels     Bed Sheets    Shampoo      Soap     Toilet Paper            Propane BBQ with Side BurnerFree Parking at the house (0.3 miles from the Winnebago)             Coffee Maker                 Microwave          HangersElectric Refrigerator       Dishes and Silverware    Pots and Pans   Salt/Pepper            First Aid KitExtra Pillows and Blankets     Fire Extinguisher   10 ft. Heeled Heart Ranch

1 site · RV210 acres · Red Bluff, CA
Spring time is the best time in the Northstate upper valley of California. Views of snow capped mountains from the green rolling hill pastures Old ranch, approximately 210 acres, with cattle (leave in May), seasonal river, and a pond. Adventure out on the ranch you will often see wild pigs, coyotes, and deer. Considerations; we do have beehives in a lower pasture, so if you're allergic this may not be a good fit. Cattle are currently on so a rule of thumb is leave a gate how you find it. DO NOT APPROACH CATTLE. They will ignore you just leave alone. If you have a dog must be leashed or contained at all times.

Genesee Valley Farm & Retreat

7 sites · Lodging, RVs, Tents130 acres · Taylorsville, CA
The goal for this ranch is to plant orchards, a farm, and oak trees. The Beautiful Genesee Valley is voted "the Most desirable area to live in Plumas County". The valley boasts of cattle ranches, sweeping valleys lined by the Sierra Nevada Mountain range, and pristine meadows literally bursting with life. This area, home to beautiful valleys and inspiring vistas is also rich with the history of the Maidu Indian, early American settlers, gold mining, ranching and logging. In fact, a drive along the highways linking Quincy to Indian Valley and Susanville will put you on the ancient trail through the land of the Mountain Maidu Indians, a trail, known to the Maidu people as the Worldmaker’s Trail. Rural living and community, rich history and a natural wonderland make the Indian and Genesee Valley area a place to “come home”.
