When you come to camp here you are on a farm in transition. Girlfarm has been a local food go to for restaurants, farm family members, and regenerative agriculture interests. Today, the farm is looking forward to a new course in agri tourism as we begin planning walking gardens, art installations in the landscape, and interactive classes.

Cute little cabin nestled in Tahoe National forest . This little gem is on an acre of land surrounded by national forest land. Close enough to Lake Tahoe to get to but also away from the Tahoe chaos.
Host lives on property , but will most likely be out and about most of the day. There are two neighbors but both own 20 acres so you can not see them, feels very private.
The front of the property where the cabin is located there will be some highway noise being close to highway 20 , especially during a busy weekend. you can’t hear highway noise while in the cabin and towards the back of the land.
However it is nice to be so close to highway 20 because it leads to several different destinations. ( west : Nevada city. east: towards Tahoe, and both directions there are soo many lakes/ rivers )
Tiny house: •Full sized futon downstairs and king sized mattress in loft. Electric fireplace, all the game boards , cards, chess, fire pit, projector for movies if requested!!!
•Additional guests are welcome to pitch a tent on the land if needed.
•Hot plate, toaster oven, mini fridge, kitchen appliances, coffee (French press, drip, mocha pot). Black stone grill outside. Fire pit , check if fires are allowed during booking
•Separate bathroom with compost toilet or a short walk to outhouse. Outdoor shower in the making, message if available.
FUN: •Lake Spaulding is about 1/4 mile hike down from the property. There is a boat launch and plenty of room to park it on the property if you want to bring a boat. Also have two paddle boards you are welcome to use.

The Sierra Sol Camp project has been hosting community events and friend gathering for years. We take great pride in extending a warm and welcoming space for all our visitors and extending the invitation to campers was a great next step.
We have listings ranging from yurts to shipping containers, an old water tower converted to a vintage trailer and canvas tents.
We are based in between the middle fork of the Yuba river right where it meets up with Oregon Creek. If you like a long walk it is 2.5 miles down the dirt road to Oregon Creek and the middle fork of the Yuba. Driving takes 5 to 10 mins. The other direction is the largest lake in our county Bullards Bar Reservoir and Emerald Cove Marina. We are 1 mile down Marysville Rd. from a launch called dark day. There is a trailhead at the top of overflow boat parking for a public swimming hole on the lake.
On our property, we have a main house with its own private facilities such as a kitchen, shower, and bath. On the land, we have 9 total unique cabin and canvas tent structures converted into boutique-like campsites. We have an epic outdoor entertaining kitchen and patio with an outdoor pizza oven and a little dog rinse behind the outdoor shower. The bathhouse is right across the way and provides a private but shared guest shower house, tub and sink.
Like anywhere in the woods there is an hour at sunset when you may have mosquitoes down near the sites in the spring and some of the summers depending on the year. We have a natural spray for that or fans in the kitchen. Off the path, you may find poison oak in the thick of the woods. So please stay on the marked trails.

Camp Watanda is a retired girls summer camp. We have 10 acres of wooded property, with the 4 sleeping cabins close to the waterfront lots of space for pitching tents/dispersed camping. Access to the Yuba River is as close as 20 mins to Edwards Crossing and 20 mins to Hoyts Crossing on Highway 49.
We absolutely recommend trying to stay for two or more nights so that you can get accustomed to the space, learn the property, settle in, and relax.
Each yurt has a wood-fired stove inside with plenty of wood stacked to keep you warm.
Each yurt has a kitchen that is fully equipped with a hot plate, toaster oven, microwave, refrigerator, cutlery, pots and pans, grill, etc.
Each yurt has a Queen bed with a heating blanket to help keep you cozy throughout the night.
Each yurt has its own dedicated wood-fired hot tub. It requires a fire to be lit and maintained to keep it hot.
Things you might like to bring: headlamps, robe, flip flops, slippers, hiking shoes.
Water: we are on a well and provide fresh drinking water in a container for you. It’s fine to drink, cook, and bathe with the water from the tap but it can have a minerally quality to it. We test the well annually.
We provide filtered water but if it runs out, the water out of the tap is safe and delicious.
The hot tub: it’s wood fired. This means you have to heat it with a fire to get it hot. This can take many hours to get to the right temperature. It’s a good idea to start a fire right when you get there! This tub may have leaves in it (they fall from above) and cloudy water. The water should NOT smell, the cloudiness is a part of the cedar tubs charm- ash from the fire and particulate from the cedar mix together. We treat it between guests with natural products that maintain the wood (you can’t use chlorine in these tubs). We clean it regularly. Shower before using it to wash off any oils please! The outdoor shower is lovely :)
Fireplace: We will leave you a bundle of wood that comes with the rental. If you need more wood you can purchase it from us or from the grocery store. We have lots of wood at the yurt and we ask you to pay $10 per bundle if you use more then we leave you inside. This is on the honor system- It takes a lot of time and resources to keep wood stocked for the property. If you don’t know how to start a fire you may want to bring an instant log with you. Please leave the lighter behind for the next guest.
Sleep: we have a heating blanket for cold nights, It’s about 10 degrees cooler on our land than in town. This is a real treat during our hot summers. There will be a fan for you as well during the warm season.
We live in the woods, there are bugs and wild animals on/or near the property. This is part of the country charm and should be expected. Please don't leave food outside.

We acknowledge that our property is located on unceeded land. It is the traditional homeland of the Nisenan tribe. The Nisenan tribe is alive and active and continues to fight for federal recognition and compensation for land loss.

The bathhouse is a treasure. My kid and I enjoyed the hot tub in the evening, and then again in the early morning. Being in that wooden hot tub with all the trees in front made me feel so in tune with myself. Jo communicated quickly and even though I didn’t meet her in person, in her messages she was very nice. The bedding was clean. I got to see the sunrise through the trees from the platform while meditating, and after the hot tub soaking we left to spend the day in Nevada city. My kid and I had a great stay.

Weekend Trip to Cozy Luxury Yurt @ Lazy Dog Ranch
This was one of the most peaceful places I've ever been. You already start to feel calm just driving to the yurt, and when you get there, it's a perfect, cute little fairy haven. It is spotless, perfectly fitted for comfort and aesthetics, with a wildly comfortable mattress, sheets, and pillows. You'll desire everything in the yurt, from the old school vintage fridge to the Marshall speaker. It's also got everything you need for staying in and cooking, or nearby Nevada City downtown has lovely spots to eat and listen to music. The bathroom is a full, comfortable bathroom directly attached to the room. The swimming spot 6 minutes' drive away is one of the coolest locations I've ever been with perfect temperatures, at least in June. Thank you so much for this stay, my first HipCamp stay!

Had a great time with my 18m twins and my mom and sister over a weekend. It was so fun seeing the kids get into the spirit of things during their first river hangout. Weekend Trip to Lena's Landing- A Cozy Cabin
Our stay at Lena's Landing was wonderful and made even more special by Anett and her beautiful property. The rustic tiny cabin was so cozy, with a comfortable loft bed. We loved looking out over the property and watching the dogs, goats, and horses roam freely. The peaceful setting was absolutely beautiful. We stayed here because it was recommended by a family friend and it exceeded every expectation. We were in town for a local bike race and only stayed one night, but it was the perfect place to rest after a long day of racing. What truly made our stay unforgettable was Anett. She is an incredibly kind, thoughtful, and welcoming host who genuinely cares about her guests. She made us feel right at home. We are so grateful for our stay and cannot wait to return. Next time, we plan to stay longer so we can enjoy more of the property.

Weekend Trip to Roughlands
Use Google maps to get there! Poppy is the better of the two platforms if you want less sun in the mornings. The bath house was very upscale and nice. The hot tub had dark water (probably due to the iron rich soils of the area) and took about 1.5-2hrs to heat from 84F to 104F. Nice forest and field views. Wildflowers and wildlife in the area including bunnies, birds, foxes, and squirrels.

Weekend Trip to Lena's Landing- A Cozy Cabin
Anett was an outstanding host! We enjoyed our stay in Lena’s cabin and honestly slept so incredibly well. We wish we could have stayed longer. Everything was very clean and our stay included having access to: utensils, cooking pans, ground coffee, a french press, playing cards, propane stove top, a grill, a fire pit, a solar shower, the views of the meadows, stars and an opportunity to meet some of the farm animals (dogs, horses and Sully the goat). Thank you Anett for being such a very hospitable host & we look forward to coming to visit again soon ! 💚🌷

Kelley is a great host. Communication was good. She was available if needed but allowed us our privacy. Pearl is a small Airstream that accommodated 2 adults and dog perfectly. The unit was clean and had everything we needed. The outdoor shower was a few steps away. The setup was clean and water was warm. The forested surrounding are beautiful.

Weekend Trip to Bright Bear Camp in Tahoe NF
We visited Kelley's hipcamp as an 18 person group for 3 days/2 nights and had an incredible time! To get the main downside out of the way--there were a lot of mosquitos, which came out in the morning and at mid-afternoon. That said, Kelley has a beautiful property, clean and well appointed facilities for her guests to use, and is an all around incredible camping host. She was flexible, helpful, friendly and kind. We would recommend her hipcamp to anyone looking to camp in the Tahoe NF area!

We just hosted our 70 person wedding at Deja's property and it was absolutely amazing. This property is pure magic and you can tell how much attention to detail and effort has gone into making it so special over the years. Everyone was comfortable and stoked to be there - from the beautiful outdoor kitchen, late night outdoor baths and stargazing, comfy accommodations, and daily trips to the yuba we all were on cloud 9 and never wanted to leave. Deja was very helpful and communicative with logistics and connecting us with friends - Felix for amazing pizza night and Kat to run the bar. We feel very grateful for the weekend spent here.

Lori's yourt is easily accessible, but incredibly secluded. The hosts are just as hidden someplace beyond the yrees, but available and responsive. If you need a true retreat, this is the spot! The heartfelt hospitality and " merak " is palpable as soon as you turn into the steep forest road with fun markets leading you to a hill where your aboard is awaiting you and your empty " to do list". Your children and furry kids can be let loose to roam happily and safely. Comfy bed with cozy bedding, kitchen with cute fridge and matching Fiesta plates. Hot shower and surprisingly fresh outside toilet with a pine canopy view. A meditative outdoor " forest sanctuary" awaits your zafi, yoga mat and presence!. If the art of doing nothing runs it's course, a hidden nature reserve for carnivore pitcher plants is a few miles away. The forest drive is treacherous, you may have to hike few miles in to the end of the road . A sign will point left to a footpath to " pitcher plant reserve". The forest has seen fire , so it will look like you missed the mark, until a sign marked " boardwalk" will lead you a bout 150 feet left to a large boggy clearing with scores of wildflowers, including the pitcher plant 's beautiful orchid -like blooms ( June 1st, 26). Well worth the effort. Bird-watchers will also be pleased in Butterfly valley and beyond. Another good excursion worth the 3 hours out of your private Paradise is Frasier falls via Quincy, it was going strong on June 1st. Fermament view from bed

We had an amazing stay at Sierra Del Sol Hipcamp celebrating my 50th birthday! The property offers excellent amenities that make camping comfortable while still allowing you to fully enjoy the beauty of the outdoors. One of the highlights is the incredible outdoor kitchen—thoughtfully designed, well-equipped, and a wonderful gathering space for cooking, sharing meals, and connecting with fellow campers.

As my first Hipcamp stay, it was perfect. Perfect location, easy to find. The surrounding forest was beautiful. The cabin itself set was very nice and cozy. We did our best to keep it the way we found everything. We couldn’t find a sponge so we weren’t able to the dishes but not many were left. It was a great experience.

We had a great time nestled in the cool and very private woods on Nathan's property. The site had far more amenities than we originally thought, including both an indoor and outdoor shower, seasoned firewood that could be purchased onsite, hidden pathways to creekside seating, and a secret spot outfitted with double hammocks. They've put a lot of care into landscaping the communal areas in a way that feels curated, but looks natural. We cooked up a storm and started and ended our days with the sounds of trickling streams - the only difficult thing was deciding which fire source to light each night! Will definitely come back with friends to rent both the East Yurt and West Yurt together. Just note that there is 1 onsite parking spot per yurt, so come in the same vehicle as the person you'll be staying with.

We had a wonderful stay at Pearl. Kelley’s detailed directions made it super easy to find the place and settle in. Pearl was incredibly cozy, and everything—from the decor to the small details—felt thoughtfully arranged and well cared for.
The location was perfect as well. It was conveniently situated between Nevada City and Lake Tahoe, which made it easy for us to explore both during our trip.
We also brought our dog, and it was such a great experience. The off-leash space was a huge plus, and our dog had a great time too, which made the stay even more relaxing for us.
My wife and I both enjoyed our time here so much that we were already saying we’d love to come back. Highly recommend staying here. Thank you Kelley!

Downtown Nevada City! We loved the cabin- it was modern, SPOTLESSLY clean, and had everything you could need without extra clutter. We were looking to get out of the city, get into nature and do so with minimal packing of gear on our part. This cabin provided the perfect middle-ground experience for us. The bed was super comfortable, we were able to cook a great meal with the kitchen set up, and we enjoyed the luscious green views from inside the cabin. We also loved that Kelley provided coffee grounds and a pour over set up for guests- this felt generous with coffee prices these days. Kelley was friendly, responsive and helpful- she offered to refill the water when we were out for the day which was appreciated. There was an outdoor shower on site, but it’s closer to the main campers set up and we didn’t end up using it for that reason. Try out Kelleys spot and be sure to get some sun and swimming in at the Yuba River nearby!
