I honestly don’t know where to start. This place is so beautiful and special, everyone is so welcoming and it is just such a calming and zen place to be. Watching sunsets in the hot tub, chilling reading and looking out at the incredible views. Me and my partner never wanted to leave and stayed an extra two days. Really was paradise!

The place was amazing. I do wish the tent sites were further into the park so the noise from the road wasn’t there (more nature) but the place and the people who work there were all amazing. The cabins looked extremely nice. Will try that next time. Nice cold water to swim in. Things to rent. The Hawaiian ice woman April was a real treat. Overall lots to do with your kids. Will go again.

We had a large group of adults and kids but the campsite and the camp hosts were very accommodating! We had 3 sites all right next to each other: #14, #15, & #16. It's great for all levels of camping, since we had such a diverse group. Water and electricity on all the sites were very convenient. Bathroom and shower were very clean and easy to use. The views were amazing! We could see the lake clearly every morning and it was just fresh air all around. Cows were grazing down below and you could hear them every now and then which was nice because it made you feel like a part of nature. We also were able to walk on down to Josie's have a few drinks and a good time as well. The site host, Lana, called it a hidden gem and it truly was. We will definitely keep this site in mind for future outings.

Weekend Trip to Mineral Spring Date Farm

Excellent value for money and ideally situated if you want to visit Palm Springs or Idyllwild. The natural spring water pools are perfect for taking the edge off the desert heat. Ron is super friendly and very welcoming.

Upon arrival we weren’t given the spot we had booked online. That was a bummer because it had a great view of the lake. Luckily they had one spot left that our trailer would fit in. Overall the place was nice, new and clean bathrooms/showers. The saloon on their property was awesome with live music. We really enjoyed our stay after the first hiccup.

The trailer was cozy, well-maintained, and well-appointed! Lots of kitchen supplies including plates, utensils, cups, a few pots and pans, knives, and cutting boards. Nights were super quiet and peaceful. We had a very restorative weekend. Another reviewer said the shower was cold - for what it’s worth, it’s nice and hot now! Definitely coming back.

Stunning View from the Perch overlooking Lake Henshaw, the Warner Ranch, Palomar Mountain, and Hot Springs Peak. 30 amp power, Water, and a very nice deck. Enjoyed the event this weekend with 4 bands at the Bar. The hike up and down the hill is not advisable for less agile individuals. Use caution entering and exiting this site as the transition from Mesa Grande Road into the dirt site scraped the undercarriage of our 30’ class C. No damage though. Beautiful view, friendly staff, great food, beer, and entertainment. We will be back!

This place was amazing! Tao was a great host and I don’t think you will ever find a set up like this. Truly one of kind. We chose a Vanarchy site to test out our new truck camping set up but will definitely book one of the air stream options for future visits. The pool, the communal areas, everything really felt like home!

5 nights at Native Falls Campground

This campground has so much to offer. There is a lake for swimming and fishing with a floating mat and trampoline. They have a pickle ball court right next to the water and it was such a beautiful place to gather. They have a basketball hoop on the pickle ball court as well. There's a pool table as well. What impressed me the most was the super friendly, happy staff. They were so helpful to me when I struggled to get my trailer parked. We plan on returning for another family trip.

There is also central heating for the especially cold nights--please use only when necessary as we are on electric only here and the central heater is not very energy efficient. Our hot tub is designed to stay hot all the time so we always have it set for 100 degrees so it's ready to go when you arrive. Backyard has firepit for cold winter nights to enjoy the stars. We have a neighbor that walks by each morning with 2 large and friendly dogs around 6:30-7am. There are coyotes and other wild animals that can be in the area so dogs should never be let out alone after dark. We do have a compact washer/dryer and only give access only for stays 5 or more nights. Please keep in mind we are on hauled water and usage should be within reason. OUTDOOR AMENITIES: We have a sitting area with wood firepit. Please note we do not provide firewood--they can be purchased at any local grocery store. If we have some there you are welcome to use it, but we don’t guarantee we will supply it or replenish if it runs out during your stay. If you are coming for a long stay and would like a lot of firewood, our neighbor can give you a quote to deliver. HOT TUB: No glass around or in hot tub, we have plastic cups provided. Please place hot tub cover on wood surround or rocks below, not on the ground/dirt. Please rinse off in the shower and wipe dirt/sand off your feet before entering hot tub. All 4 buckles on the cover and extra sandbags must be secured when not in use—it gets very windy here and the cover could easily blow away. Hot tub can be used any time, but please respect our neighbors and keep noise to a minimum after 10pm. ***Please note our hot tub gets serviced weekly on Fridays*** TV/INTERNET: We have a Roku TV with basic live channels as well as typical smart apps. Our wifi is 25 down/5 up and we typically actually get those speeds or a bit more on our tri-band mesh network with coverage both inside and outside the house. I have been able to watch streaming TV plus use my laptop to work at the same time without any issues. However please note when it gets especially windy, the internet can go in and out. DESERT/CABIN STUFF TO CONSIDER!! Please be aware we are in the actual desert! We have lots of nature around us and you will see some bugs and critters during your stay. We recommend keeping door closed at all times whenever possible to prevent bugs from getting in. During the summer there are lots of flies--if you leave doors open they will get inside. We have eco-friendly bug spray provided. In order to reach the house you'll need to drive about a mile down a dirt road. It's generally well-maintained and easy to drive, any type of car should be able to drive it (including regular sedans, etc.). However if there's heavy rain, it's possible it could be too muddy for 2-wheel drive vehicles. I have been able to get here without a problem in my 2WD SUV in the rain and even snow, but we are at the mercy of Mother Nature! Due to their age and not having screens, the windows are not to be opened (they are difficult to close and require multiple people and possibly tools to close them, tons of bugs go inside if left open, etc.). You can run the A/C on fan only if you want air circulation without A/C, but guests are not permitted to open them. We are on a water tank which means you need to be aware of willing to be conscious of your water use. Due to being on hauled water and septic and high electric costs, absolutely no filling up, emptying, or hooking up power of RVs, electric cars, trailers, etc. We have plenty of room if you want to park them on our property. We have two partially buried storage containers which we have created a barrier edge around the top, but guests need to be very cautious around the edges as there is a steep drop off on the other side of the barrier. In general guests need to take extreme care if choosing to walk around the yard as there may be steps and inclines that may be dangerous to walk on. There are animals and sharp desert plants on the property which could be dangerous to pets, children, or even adults. Guests exploring the property or letting their children/pets wander around the property do so at their own risk. If you drive off of the gravel areas of the driveway, you could get stuck in the sand, especially if your car does not have 4-wheel drive. We recommend to only drive and park on the areas with the gray rocks. As we are in an area where water is an especially precious resource, please be mindful of running the dishwasher or washing machine only when it's full, and if possible at night when the energy costs are lower. No electric car charging--if you charge your car or use any energy heavy equipment you will be charged an additional $50/day, or for actual cost of the extra usage above our average daily use, whichever is higher. This is a high fire hazard area, use of the firepit or smoking outside must be done with extreme care. Any fires in the firepit and cigarette butts must be fully extinguished and cannot be left unattended. Sometimes during high winds the county prohibits fires. It can get quite windy is this area, so we do not recommend leaving anything outside that could blow away or get knocked over. For this reason no inside furniture or linens can go outside at any time. Outdoor blankets must be taken with you when you go back inside. When it's especially windy power and/or internet can go in and out. Some carriers get service at our house, but the most reliable method is to turn your phone into airplane mode and connect to the wifi. In the Summer: A/C should be turned off or left at 78 when leaving the house for extended periods of time. Door should always be closed when A/C is on. In the Winter: Heating should be turned off or left at 65 when leaving the house for extended periods of time. Door should always be closed when heating is on.

His favorite body of water is the panorama you'll enjoy through two walls of glass in this expansive home. Stunning views...empty white-sand beaches...ultra-clear skies. And the only sounds you're likely to hear are the gentle surf and ocean breezes. There's really no other place like Baja California. This land has changed little since Fernando Cortés first saw it in 1533. And dawn over the sea begins each day in spectacular fashion. Our huge front room combines living, dining, and kitchen into one 700-square-foot space, with four sets of doors which open to a broad Spanish-style veranda. Please note that this house has electric service, with a rooftop tank holding mountain spring water, plus propane for the stove and water heater. If you require a concierge to manage your holidays, or can't stand dust from the desert, you may want to consider another destination. The first tanks of water and propane are included. If a water refill is required, you pay the $50. The cost of a propane refill is about $20. * There is no landline phone, but we do have wifi, and most cell phones work. * Note that Baja can be HOT, especially from mid-June through the end of August. There is also another road to the beach which begins about 150 feet above the entrance to the property. The beach itself is fine sand, and deep in places. Motorcycles and ATVs are welcome. For four-wheeled vehicles, 4WD is essential. * Kayaks and other small watercraft can be launched easily from the beach. Kitesurfing is popular. Be aware of the tides! The Gulf of California has one of the largest tidal ranges in the world, and at low tide, the ocean recedes far from the beach for a few hours. * PWCs and boats on trailers can also be launched from the beach. A 4WD tow vehicle is essential. Again, be aware of the tides. * There is a wood-burning fireplace. * There are large supermarkets in central San Felipe (such as Calimax, on the main drag). You can get fresh food and everything else you might need at reasonable prices. * Wheelchair access to the home is fairly easy. The showers are very large, but otherwise of standard design. * There can be dogs roaming free, but we've never seen an aggressive one. You may also encounter a mosquito or two, little desert critters, etc. * Snowbird? Looking for a long-term retreat? Low rates are available to quality candidates.

For those who are coming to Temecula for horse shows, we also have a large barn with bedded stalls and turnouts (for an additional fee). There are designated horse trails right outside our gates which will even take you to Galway Downs and California Ranch Company. If you're into golf, you can enjoy Temecula's 7 PGA golf courses or Pechanga Casino which are also within a short driving distance to the farm. If horses or golf isn't your thing, you can visit Temecula Valley wineries which are all ~ 1/2-3.8 miles of the cottage gates. The wineries are not within walking distance of each other, UBER is only too happy to come here and pick you up! If you're not interested in any activities and simply want a "staycation," you can hang out here where you're welcomed to walk around the farm and interact with the animals. Plenty of onsite parking. In the morning, grab your coffee and step outside to watch the hot air balloons drift overhead. During the day, sample local vino from the 50 nearby wineries. In the evening, nosh at one of the great restaurants in Old Town Temecula, and then return to camp for sunset views and fireside relaxation. You should know that there are two free-roaming Blue Heelers who live on the 5-acre property and make regular visits to the camp area. Visiting dogs that socialize well with other dogs are welcome by us and by Molly and Taz as well, but please be honest with yourself and us about your dog's temperament, and book elsewhere if there is ANY chance of canine conflict with our very energetic pups. Also, Molly does not trust very small children (we think there was an incident), so if you have small children, we ask that you keep them from interacting with our Heelers.

To the left you'll find the boxcar, a yellow dream. She's purdy on the inside with a loft bed and two twins, and dining table with chandelier. To the right is Avion, the majestic silver bird. She is every bit original 1983 oak veneer nostalgia. Don't eat the glass grapes! Avion features a full kitchen and bath and sleeps 5. Further over is Dolly the vintage Dalton tin can style trailer. She has no hook ups but there are battery lights and a clean double bed. Set a while on the dirt porch in the shell back chairs and reflect on life. Shangri-La is family, pet, UFO, and kid friendly. Bring 'em all! You will need to self clean this little slice of heaven. There are supplies in the closet and the outbuildings. You'll BYO sheets and towels to make up the beds and bathe, remember to take everything you brought with you, put back the key, and haul out your own trash.
