Great spot close to town/gas etc. Clean lot with lockable gate and shade from the sun. Laundry detergent was provided. Water and plenty of electricity hookups and outlets onsite. Quiet area.

Really great campground with plenty of space to spread out. The whole area is fenced in, so our dog could roam freely without a leash. Beautiful surroundings. Well-stocked kitchen, clean bathrooms, everything you need to feel comfortable. The hosts were super helpful and attentive. We’ll definitely be back!

Mimi's Hideaway is lovely, and so is Mimi! After selling our cabin years ago, we had a wonderful time reconnecting with Chester, CA. We walked to the North Fork of the Feather River, rode our bikes down First to Lake Almanor, and walked the meadow each morning and evening. Our dog was in frisbee heaven, but was a little jealous of Indy - Mimi's well-mannered/behaved Border Collie. Indy was so tolerant of his grumpiness! Mimi has created a peaceful, relaxing spot adjacent to her home. She and her neighbors are friendly and welcoming. I will be back! Oh, and that freshly squeezed orange juice was delicious. Thank you, Mimi, for sharing your little bit of Chester beauty. It was such a pleasure getting to know you.

Mark was incredibly nice and thoughtful—his instructions were clear and made everything easy. Oregon Creek is just a drive away and was perfect for cooling off and relaxing. We had so much fun exploring the area, and the kids especially loved picking berries from the garden—that was definitely a highlight! Such a great private, full-hook up, fully fenced property that your pups can run with wild abandon. This place was EVERYTHING, INCLUDING a washer and dryer to clean up after weeks on the road. Killer cell/wifi (T-Mobile home internet) signal, so it's a great place for a long term stay of necessary if you'll need internet for work. Super quiet, no road noise. Very comfortable space. Easy to navigate to, easy access. Kelsey communicated wall, time and efficiently. Great stay.

This place is located in the plumas national forest. It gives the feeling of lost in the woods with the perfect privacy. It has full hook ups and is very peaceful and there are several lakes around the area to adventure to with beautiful clear water. We definitely will be coming back!!.

We were here briefly overnight on a long road trip, but it was a great place. Directions were very clear, site was great, and amenities were just what we needed.

The campground was very quiet and in a beautiful tree. This campsite is made up with 60% Full-time RV. They had great wi-fi connection and a great dog park. the camp is about 15 miles from Lake Collins Lake and another small lake.

This was a great place to stay. We stopped for the night while traveling north. We had six deer about 50 feet away in the evening. The power, water and sewer were easily accessible. We didn’t need to wash clothes but the machines were right there if we had needed to.

Max’s place was awesome. We booked a camp site last minute to explore the area. He let us bring two cars. Like most people, I read some of the prior reviews. I don’t understand where some people came up with their opinion of the area, but everyone we interacted we seemed polite, considerate, and helpful. Max was no different. Regarding his campsite setup, he allows the use of several electric and water hookups. He has a ton of firewood available and an awesome fire-pit available for use. He’s building a super cool dome structure for future airbnb guests. That said, we’ll definitely be back.

Quail Ridge RV Park

Quail Ridge RV Park has 17 acres nestled in the Plumas National Forest. We do NOT have direct water access. We are surrounded by four lakes, with Sly Creek and Lost Lake Reservoirs being the closest (about 3 mi. north of us), two major rivers and Feather Falls, the 3rd largest waterfall in California. Outdoor activities abound with fishing, swimming, boating, canoeing, kayaking, paddle boarding, hiking trails and mountain biking trails. You can also explore the local rivers and try your luck at gold panning. Our park is primarily divided into three areas: (1) we have 7 dedicated RV sites for weekend RV's that have full hook-ups, which include 30/50 amp. electric, water and septic connection (no pull through sites); (2) an area in the middle of the park where permanent residents live; and (3) a large area for volleyball, lounging, and playground on the opposite side of the park. Sorry, but due to the always present fire danger, no wood burning fires are allowed. You may use your own propane fire ring or propane or charcoal grill. We have clean laundry and showers and flush toilets on the north side of the park. There is one shower and one flush toilet for each men and women that are handicapped accessible. Showers cost $1 for 12 minutes of hot water. Cell phone service is spotty. AT&T/Cricket and sometimes Verizon work the best. We now have free Wi-Fi in the park! Quail Ridge RV Park is very pet friendly, and we have a beautiful new dog park for our 4-footed friends. However, we cannot accept aggressive breed dogs, or Pit-Bull mixed dogs (sorry, but our insurance company restricts these breeds). Please identify the dog breed when you are making a reservation. The 395 Ranch, Seclusion & Views!

This property lies at the base of the Sierra Mountains, approximately 9 miles north of Doyle, CA on the west side of US Route 395. Access to the ranch road is from US Route 395. Its elevation starts at 3800 feet and rises higher than 5,000 feet. The lower half is rolling high chaparral and the upper half is steep with forest land that was burned in the 2021 Dixie Fire. There are still plenty of live trees left. This ranch lies in Deer Hunting Zone X6b. Lassen National Forest is on the west boundary of this ranch, with a gate that allows access to the national forest. The 395 Ranch boasts incredible views for nearly 75 miles. The ground is primarily decomposed granite so mud never becomes a problem. Wind can be strong when weather systems approach. The campsites are very basic with no toilet facilities (at this time) but water is available for cooking and washing dishes. An outdoor enclosed shower is available as well. At this time (summer) the water is naturally warm from the pipe’s exposure to the sun and hot water from a flash heater will be available in the near future. Tents can be erected almost anywhere on the property, but campfires are strictly prohibited until the rainy/cold season. Water and an electric hookup is available next to the barn for RVs and travel trailers at an additional cost. Sewer service is not available. There is also an older but nice three-bedroom, one bath home that is also available for short term rentals. It is heated during the winter by two wood burning stoves and cooled comfortably during the summer with a swamp cooler. The rent for this house is based on the season, ranging from $169-$229 nightly plus extra fees for pets or more than three people. Visitors of the past have found hiking, looking for artifacts and rocks to be fun activities. It’s also been an amazing place for stargazing and using telescopes. Others simply enjoyed relaxing and enjoying the peace, quiet and views. High quality campfire wood is available for $12.00 a bundle.
