We moved to the Inland Empire from Santa Monica, in 2017 with the dream of building an open canvas event space out of sustainable, re purposed and natural materials. Our mission is help enrich the culture of Perris, CA by providing a unique venue that takes you away from the hustle and bustle and takes you to a wonderland of nature surrounded by rocks and eucalyptus trees. Anson and I continue to build everything ourselves with the help of our friends and family every now and again. Our process is that we source as much lumber using the dead Eucalyptus trees we have here on the 36 acre property and we are constantly trying to come up with innovative ways to use recycled and donated materials in the venue. During the pandemic, we turned our venue into a campground so we could open up the venue to people who needed to get out into nature. We are now open for daily camping and private events. Our mission is help enrich the culture of Perris, CA by providing a unique venue that takes you away from the hustle and bustle and takes you to a wonderland of nature surrounded by rocks and eucalyptus trees. Anson and I continue to build everything ourselves with the help of our friends and family every now and again. Our process is that we source as much lumber using the dead Eucalyptus trees we have here on the 36 acre property and we are constantly trying to come up with innovative ways to use recycled and donated materials in the venue. During the pandemic, we turned our venue into a campground so we could open up the venue to people who needed to get out into nature. We are now open for daily camping and private events. Wonderful place. The boulder/yoga deck location is surrounded by an incredible landscape of boulders, which make for a solitary experience as well as endless opportunity for exploration. There is also a community space not too far from the campsite with some wonderful amenities. This camp is located in a small community, and being able to partake in and meet the community is a huge plus of staying here, everyone was so welcoming and great to talk to. Highly recommend for anyone looking for some time away/connection into nature⭐️

Pioneertown corrals was a perfect spot to camp when seeing a show at Pappy & Harriet's. We were able to walk a couple minutes and were there. When we arrived I checked in with Jim , who was camp host and general store cashier that night. I told him why we were there and he vwelcomed us and gave us the lay of the land and offered us some pointers like " Red Dog saloon for breakfast and bloody mary" and check out the baby goats at the petting zoo. Both were great. The campground doesn't offer amenities other than a bathroom with a flushing toilet and a couple outhouses, but it's flat, clean and accessible to all Pioneertown has to offer. We have a small self contained rv, I would stay there again.

We love the town and love how easy it is to camp here. No wifi and no hookups at some locations can be a problem, but here, its a pleasure to not be distracted by phones and other electronics. The town is quiet, quaint and charming. The Red Dog Saloon, Pappy and Harriet's and all of the shops are anywhere from a 1 to 5 minute walk. There is a small petting zoo and a great rotation of all kinds of cute animals, many whom live in the houses around the area. The handlers are super friendly and they do a great job caring for the animals. This is a perfect RV campground if you are going to see a show at either one of the venues I mentioned. I also encourage anyone staying here for a show to book at least one more night so you can relax in the desert and just enjoy the small town. My one recommendation is to PRINT your reservations and directions of how to drive into the campsite before you come. There is no service once you get about 2.5 miles onto Pioneertown Road so having the print outs will be super helpful. You will park your RV in one of the spots then walk down to the Mercantile to check in (two minute walk towards the motel). We love this place and would recommend it to anyone looking for a quick desert get away. There is nothing quite like it.

My dog and I hiked up the mountain, prepared breakfast in the outdoor kitchen and swam and ate out by the beautiful pool. The bathroom area is perfect! The outdoor bathroom has trees growing through the roof. I wish we could have stayed longer!

This was such a great setup! We do not go camping often, so I wanted to book a spot that was between camping and “glamping”. This was that perfect inbetween! It does get pretty cold at night during the fall/winter, so make sure to pack plenty of extra layers and blankets. The campsite was very well taken care of, and there weren’t even any bugs inside the A frames. He even included a propane tank, which was great since we forgot to bring one! Nestled in the desert hills with total silence and great star watching. Probably best in warmer season, as to be able to use BBQs outside and the pool. Dirt road to reach location a bit challenging if it rains. But definitely a great gem and so close to Joshua Tree West Entrance.

Absolutely incredible. It was the perfect spot for a weekend with my little Ford Maverick and Go Fast Camper setup. I did not have much communication with the host, but I honestly did not need much since everything was straightforward. It was a busy festival weekend, so the parking attendants were a huge help. The only suggestion I have is to include a bit more information in the instructions/getting there section after booking. Without the parking attendants I probably would have been a little confused 😅 so a simple map and some friendly instructions would probably avoid some unnecessary confusion. Not a dig on the site at all, just a friendly suggestion. Aside from that, the campsite gets rave reviews from me because of how easy and wonderful it was to stay in this beautiful western-style town. The animals at the petting zoo can be a little loud at times, but I found it charming and part of the experience. This would not be an issue for anyone in an RV. I was in an RV spot with my truck tent, so tent campers might want to bring simple earplugs since the roosters start early. Do not let that deter you. It truly is a unique and very cool place to camp. The campground is fairly minimal, but it is well maintained, safe, and friendly. Being able to walk back to your site after a night at Pappy and Harriet’s in only two minutes is worth its weight in gold. 🍻 Thanks, and I will definitely be rebooking!

For our summer guests: We have a very strong central A/C throughout. I have stayed here in 114 degree heat and it has still been cool and comfortable inside. For our winter guests: We have an indoor pellet fireplace which keeps the living room warm, and our bed has a dual-control heating pad (each side can choose their own heat level), and there is a radiant wall heater in the bathroom. There is also central heating for the especially cold nights--please use only when necessary as we are on electric only here and the central heater is not very energy efficient. Our hot tub is designed to stay hot all the time so we always have it set for 100 degrees so it's ready to go when you arrive. Backyard has firepit for cold winter nights to enjoy the stars. We are available through the app or phone any time during your stay and also have local contacts available as well for any on-site emergencies. We're located in Johnson Valley, just about 5 minutes to King of the Hammers/Johnson Valley OHV area, 17 minutes to the Integratron, 18 minutes to La Copine Restaurant, 35 minutes to downtown Joshua Tree, 40 min to Joshua Tree Park West entrance, 45 min to Big Bear. We are just near the "Valley Vista Airport" if you want a better sense of the location. 4 adults max per reservation. Guest count must be accurate on reservation to see the correct pricing. BEDROOM: features a very comfy queen Keetsa mattress with premium Parachute percale linens. Dual control heating pad to stay toasty to your preference in the colder months. Qi wireless phone chargers on nightstands. We have blackout shades and blinds, but please note they're definitely not 100% blackout as some light will come in around the edges. Bedside lights with pink Himalayan salt bulbs for low, ambient lighting. LIVING ROOM: Boconcept futon sofa bed. Please use provided mattress protector over sofa if setting it up as a bed. We also provide a pack n play crib upon request. Electronic projector with Roku smart TV, record player with records to enjoy, books to borrow. Indoor pellet fireplace. INFO ABOUT PETS: Dogs must be pre-approved before booking (please provide age, size, breed, etc.) to make sure they're a good fit for our place. There is a $50 pet fee per dog per reservation ($50 fee applies weekly for bookings of 7 days or longer). Please note no dogs on furniture and dogs cannot be left alone in the house at any time. There is doggie daycare for $18/day at Blue Barn Ranch or $30/day at Joshua Tree Pet Resort. We have real marble floors and ask you ensure your dogs have trimmed nails before they arrive that will not scratch them. Please note our property is not fenced. We have a neighbor that walks by each morning with 2 large and friendly dogs around 6:30-7am. There are coyotes and other wild animals that can be in the area so dogs should never be let out alone after dark. We do have a compact washer/dryer and only give access only for stays 5 or more nights. Please keep in mind we are on hauled water and usage should be within reason. OUTDOOR AMENITIES: We have a sitting area with wood firepit. Please note we do not provide firewood--they can be purchased at any local grocery store. If we have some there you are welcome to use it, but we don’t guarantee we will supply it or replenish if it runs out during your stay. If you are coming for a long stay and would like a lot of firewood, our neighbor can give you a quote to deliver. HOT TUB: No glass around or in hot tub, we have plastic cups provided. Please place hot tub cover on wood surround or rocks below, not on the ground/dirt. Please rinse off in the shower and wipe dirt/sand off your feet before entering hot tub. All 4 buckles on the cover and extra sandbags must be secured when not in use—it gets very windy here and the cover could easily blow away. Hot tub can be used any time, but please respect our neighbors and keep noise to a minimum after 10pm. ***Please note our hot tub gets serviced weekly on Fridays*** TV/INTERNET: We have a Roku TV with basic live channels as well as typical smart apps. Our wifi is 25 down/5 up and we typically actually get those speeds or a bit more on our tri-band mesh network with coverage both inside and outside the house. I have been able to watch streaming TV plus use my laptop to work at the same time without any issues. However please note when it gets especially windy, the internet can go in and out. DESERT/CABIN STUFF TO CONSIDER!! Please be aware we are in the actual desert! We have lots of nature around us and you will see some bugs and critters during your stay. We recommend keeping door closed at all times whenever possible to prevent bugs from getting in. During the summer there are lots of flies--if you leave doors open they will get inside. We have eco-friendly bug spray provided. In order to reach the house you'll need to drive about a mile down a dirt road. It's generally well-maintained and easy to drive, any type of car should be able to drive it (including regular sedans, etc.). However if there's heavy rain, it's possible it could be too muddy for 2-wheel drive vehicles. I have been able to get here without a problem in my 2WD SUV in the rain and even snow, but we are at the mercy of Mother Nature! Due to their age and not having screens, the windows are not to be opened (they are difficult to close and require multiple people and possibly tools to close them, tons of bugs go inside if left open, etc.). You can run the A/C on fan only if you want air circulation without A/C, but guests are not permitted to open them. We are on a water tank which means you need to be aware of willing to be conscious of your water use. Due to being on hauled water and septic and high electric costs, absolutely no filling up, emptying, or hooking up power of RVs, electric cars, trailers, etc. We have plenty of room if you want to park them on our property. We have two partially buried storage containers which we have created a barrier edge around the top, but guests need to be very cautious around the edges as there is a steep drop off on the other side of the barrier. In general guests need to take extreme care if choosing to walk around the yard as there may be steps and inclines that may be dangerous to walk on. There are animals and sharp desert plants on the property which could be dangerous to pets, children, or even adults. Guests exploring the property or letting their children/pets wander around the property do so at their own risk. If you drive off of the gravel areas of the driveway, you could get stuck in the sand, especially if your car does not have 4-wheel drive. We recommend to only drive and park on the areas with the gray rocks. As we are in an area where water is an especially precious resource, please be mindful of running the dishwasher or washing machine only when it's full, and if possible at night when the energy costs are lower. No electric car charging--if you charge your car or use any energy heavy equipment you will be charged an additional $50/day, or for actual cost of the extra usage above our average daily use, whichever is higher. This is a high fire hazard area, use of the firepit or smoking outside must be done with extreme care. Any fires in the firepit and cigarette butts must be fully extinguished and cannot be left unattended. Sometimes during high winds the county prohibits fires. It can get quite windy is this area, so we do not recommend leaving anything outside that could blow away or get knocked over. For this reason no inside furniture or linens can go outside at any time. Outdoor blankets must be taken with you when you go back inside. When it's especially windy power and/or internet can go in and out. Some carriers get service at our house, but the most reliable method is to turn your phone into airplane mode and connect to the wifi. In the Summer: A/C should be turned off or left at 78 when leaving the house for extended periods of time. Door should always be closed when A/C is on. In the Winter: Heating should be turned off or left at 65 when leaving the house for extended periods of time. Door should always be closed when heating is on.
