Swimming in North Fork Tule River, miles of hiking trails on ranch. River Ridge Ranch goes from 1,000' elev. to 3,000' elevation. Hike right on the ranch. We are between Sequoia National Park (about an hour) and the Giant Sequoia National Monument (16 miles to groves up Hwy 190 and no entrance fee).

There are 33 giant sequoia groves in our Southern Region of the Giant Sequoia National Monument, some easily driven to, and some remote. Our ranch is a nature preserve and an education demonstration site, teaching sustainable and regenerative land use practices. River Ridge Institute, our non-profit, hosts a variety of events for the public.
Please note: you are expected to leave the ranch and kitchen area as you found it, i.e., dishes washed thoroughly and dried and put away, recycling separated from trash, food scraps in compost buckets, sticky marshmallow removed from forks and surfaces (ick!). Thank you.
Enjoy: The Kitchen has a 3-burner cooktop, large fridge, microwave, full dishes and utensils and pots and pans with a big washing area in the back. Propane barbecue grill.. There's a River Barn to use as a remote space and Turtle Cove for swimming. Saturday morning Farmer's Market in downtown at 9 AM - Noon.
Ancestral land of the Foothill Yokuts tribe. Homesteaded in 1859, owned by the Negus family from 1909-2000. Barbara and I bought it to save it from subdivision and it's now protected by a Conservation Easement and acts as a community center for the arts, music, poetry, gatherings and outdoor education. We're both biologists, so, just ask us.

My girlfriend and I really enjoyed staying at the Cottonwood cabin! It was a nice cozy space and the scenery was sooo beautiful! I got to enjoy my breakfast on a big rock by the river and it was the perfect way to start my day. The restrooms were really nice and well kept! Overall it was a super comfortable lodging experience.

Loved Allison's campsite - it was private, shaded by Sycamores and lined with Datura. Best of all it was just a short walk to the river. My favorite part was the huge rocky bottom that comes up to shape the river's edge, right near where Allison had chairs set up, and you're essentially able to sit in the river while it flows around you. It is exceptionally beautiful in the morning, especially while watching the Turkey Vultures roosting and sunning their wings, and the Acorn Woodpeckers flitting about.
A couple reviews mentioned having loud neighbors, which I was worried about since I had forgotten earplugs -- but happy to report that it was a perfectly quiet, beautiful night.
We were only able to camp 1 out of the 2 nights we reserved due to unfortunate rental car troubles, but Allison was responsive through text and has helped me out with a partial refund request, which I very much appreciate.
Allison provided clear directions to the campsite, communicated expectations clearly, and was an overall gracious host. Would love to stay here again!

Easy to locate, super convenient location near Three Rivers coffee shops and restaurants. We forgot a few items and had to drive back to the local market, 3 minute drive.
The place itself was as pictured, very quiet and had the space to ourselves. The morning was lovely with the noise of the river.

Great site! The creek was absolutely beautiful. There were tons of birds there during the the summer. It's close to the entrance to Sequoia and to a small market if you forget something.
I'd recommend bringing earplugs. We heard one of the neighbors in a fight one of the nights we were there, some of the language they were using was pretty graphic.

We loved tent camping here. We loved having access to the creek. It was so nice to swim and let our 2 kids play. The site felt private and tucked away. Definitely wish we could have stayed longer and enjoyed the creek even longer. It was close to some coffee and other little shop nearby in town.

The camp spot was amazing, secluded and right next to a perfect spot on the river. We had a great weekend there. The only thing to note is there is a neighbor who is very aggressive and was screaming swear words the whole weekend - maybe good to keep in mind if you're bringing kids.

Absolutely loved this site. Allison was communicative and clear as well as making herself available if needed. Super close to town. Felt safe and site was clean. Plenty of room. Loved the River used it a ton while we were there. Soaked in with nature , Turkey , quail, lizards, turkey vultures, woodpeckers all day and night … would absolutely stay again.
