Had the most amazing time here! Nice and private but not too far from town. So many great spots to dip in the water with a gorgeous view. Shandi was an amazing helpful host! We forgot a few essentials and Shandi had just what we needed. Can’t wait to come back here again

We loved our stay at Hudson’s + Wendy’s campsite and would recommend it to any of our friends. Getting there: This is a private campsite nestled in between properties. You will need to take a private road with a few switchbacks to get to the site while passing by a few houses. You will pass by Rena’s house(there may be boxes/trash on the side) and she is an incredible person to get to know during your stay if you enjoy talking to people. She gave us local recommendations and after our car battery died, offered to help us if we needed it. Although this may not impact everyone - the house right before the last switchback you must pass to get to the site has a Trump flag, which made us feel uneasy but we never ran into them directly. During the stay: The setup includes a working hose with water, 1 extension cord with electricity and access to a shed with a toilet + biodegradable bags. They also offer a bathroom + shower if you take the small walk up to their property located in a private area. All of those things made our stay comfortable and Rena(the neighbor) really made us feel safe at night after getting to know her. There’s also a beautiful waterfall + creek running right behind the camp site that too. Preparing for the trip: We used our 2023 Nissan Pathfinder for this one and if I had a longer car, I would’ve been hesitant to drive it down myself because the turns are sharp. If you have a car low to the ground it’s doable but it may scuff the bottom cover.

Awesome place incredible hosts. Jesse and Shandie are the bomb. They make you feel like family and are so darn accommodating. There property is unreal it’s like place out of a story book. Waterfalls, hiking, exploring. Etc. They have camping equipment if need be just ask. Firewood is on site. Shaver lake is right up the road. they will even accommodate you with kayaks to explore the lake. Definitely going again 5 out of 5 stars in my book

We just got back from a stay at Musick Creek Falls, and it was absolutely stunning. The beauty of the site is jaw-dropping — the kind of place that feels like a hidden gem tucked away in the mountains. I camped with my 3-year-old, 1-year-old, and two dogs, and it was the perfect blend of adventure and tranquility for our little family. The kids loved playing in the creek, even though the water was a bit chilly. There are a few deeper spots where it’s easy for little ones to slip in, so supervision was important, but once we set some simple boundaries, they had the time of their lives splashing and exploring. The campsite feels wonderfully private. I did see a previous review mention the site above being visible, and while you can be aware of it, the lush foliage creates a secluded, peaceful vibe that still feels totally your own. Backing the car down to the site was fairly easy — just a heads up that the terrain is a bit rough, so low-clearance vehicles might have a harder time, but it’s definitely doable. We really appreciated the thoughtful touches like firewood and a sugar pine cone for the fire. Shandi was amazing — responsive, helpful, and full of great tips for exploring Shaver Lake. This place is magical. We’re already dreaming about when we can come back.

Incredible spot! Surrounded by 10/10 swimming holes with gorgeous waterfalls and so much to explore. The sites are very well considered and quiet. No complaints. Shandy and Jesse are excellent host. Very welcoming and have lots of knowledge about the area. We forgot all our kitchen supplies and they provided us with everything we needed. Saved us! 100% going back ASAP.

Weekend Trip to Hidden Falls Yosemite Camp

Wonderful weekend "glamping" spot near lots of hiking & food! Perfect for two. Cozy cabin! The sound & view of the hidden falls was so peaceful. Bed was on the firmer side and bathroom situation was a bit odd but we worked through it. Would have loved to have a fire but CA is dry in June, so thinking another trip in fall/winter may be in order!

We had the best time camping here with our two kids and our pup. It was so private and had plenty of space for the kids and our dog to run around and play in the water. The land and the views were absolutely spectacular! Shadie was so helpful and went out of her way when we needed help in the evening and also getting kayaks to and from the lake. We felt very taken care of. We definitely look forward to coming back!

This place was absolutely incredible! The view was gorgeous and the sunset breathtaking. We swam in the waterfall during the day. Only wish we could have stayed longer.

Shandie and Jesse’s land was beautiful and they were such beautiful people too! They were so kind and helpful, Shandie kept going out of her way to show us the trails and paths to take/avoid. We truly felt welcomed, and the views were gorgeous, so many wildflowers during this time of year. The site was perfect to hang out as a group, I cannot wait to go back again!

I really enjoyed my stay. Wendy was wonderful. The waterfalls in the area are unbelievable, including a view from the cabin. It’s definitely for people who wanna get off the grid for a couple of days. Thank you, Wendy.

I've done a lot of camping in my time and it was easily one of the best spots I've ever camped at. Hosts were also very friendly and helpful. We will be coming back.

We loved this campsite. It was perfect for our three kids. We were able to hangout right at our campsite and have the waterfall right next to us. They were so kind and welcoming when we arrived and gave us some of ideas of what to do. We will be coming back.

2 nights at Hidden Falls Yosemite Camp

Very cute, comfortable, and quiet. The falls, which there are two of, overshadow any road noise from the canyon. Driveway is a bit bonkers but I’ve seen worse. We didn’t find where to put trash or anything but didn’t drive around much to look. The road below ended where it looks like a crazy weirdo lives so I’m glad we saw the “ammunition expensive so we shoot to kill” sign on the way out. Would suck to have some children rolling around exploring and happen upon that crazy dudes property by accident. Also my son struggled to find a spot for his small tent outside and had to do it on the small wood porch, so we cut our stay short by a day.

Feel free to wander around the property on a few of our trails or just chill by the water and enjoy the magic of the mountains. Our property is about a 45 min drive to the Yosemite entrance. Dogs are more than welcome as long as they are ok with our dog wandering around. He’s super sweet loves everybody.

The site is centrally located about between Oakhurst and Bass Lake about 10 to 15 minutes away from either location. The south entrance of Yosemite National Park is about 25 minutes away.

If you are looking for man made and leveled campsites, then this is not your basecamp. This land is a gorgeous 20 acres that means a lot to us. It's space to find your peace of mind and pitch a tent or hammock, as you would when hiking the backcountry. Aside from complimentary ice water, potty, shower, soaps, sanitizer, sunscreen, first aid, communal fire pit, wood stove and dishwashing area) this is not "glamping". If you are a person who appreciates nature and making due with what the land has provided, then we are a great fit. Guests have 20 acres to find a secluded, or socially distanced spot to pitch camp. This is for people that know how to camp in the backcountry - Without a trash can, who don’t leave cigarette butts, respect the land and would rather not be sectioned off. Flat areas are all over if you explore, and use your feet to brush aside rocks and twigs, to lay down a tent base, as we do every time we camp in the backcountry. The geography of these mountains is just that, hills and mountains. The vista at the top of the property is gorgeous and easily camps 5 tents spaced out. The property does offer many other great camping areas, and I’m more than happy to point them out. Yosemite is 30 minutes away, Don Pedro lake is 30 minutes, Cherry Lake is 30 minutes, Preston falls and Carlon falls are both 30 min away. Downtown Groveland Is 7 minutes away, and other historic towns are not too far. Close to many swimming holes. Rainbow pools is 15 minutes away. 10 min from the local grocery store and other local shops. Base Camp is just off of highway 120. Camp in the country with beautiful sunsets, sunrises, and night sky. A & M Ranch (40 acres) is located 10 min north of Fresno and near Hwy 41 which leads to the mountains. Many travelers stop here on their way to the national parks (Yosemite, Kings Canyon, Sequoia). We are also close to hiking trails, lakes, Sierra mountains, wineries, farmers' markets, and casinos. When you arrive, you will see our four alpacas in their pen. We have designated spots for Tent camping, although if you'd like another spot let us know. Each site is listed separately. We are listed on other platforms, so there may be other guests here. Marta also has a she shop if you are interested in refurbished items or alpaca products. We are not a day camp, so if you stay a few nights, we expect you will be out most of the day. You may hear coyotes at night, and see lots of squirrels and wild bunnies. Be careful of squirrel holes. We are generally only open Friday and Saturday, during the school year. *** If we do not respond right away and give approval it is because sometimes our schedule changes. We usually respond WITHIN the week of your stay.
