Splitrock Farm and Retreat started in January 2021 after a global search of a place to set roots, live off the land, and create an amazing place for recreation, relaxation, and rejuvenation.
Splitrock Farm
Splitrock was part of a 160-acre avocado farm that prospered from 1970 to 2017, generating over 1million pounds of avocados per year until the previous owners switched off the water in 2017. Ben purchased 101 acres in 2021 with plans to harvest the dead avocado trees for firewood and replant with organic, sustainable crops such as grapes, citrus trees, and flowers.
Splitrock Retreat
Splitrock's attraction comes from its unique groves, magnificent granite boulders, and sweeping vistas. Mixed within the avocado groves are several ancient groves and solitary trees that include 200 foot tall pines, hundreds of old oaks, and soaring palms. Freckled throughout the hillsides are thousands of humongous granite boulders, offering a prehistoric feel to the landscape. Above all, Splitrock offers unrivaled views. Over 40 miles of coastline includes views to Point Loma, the Carlsbad power station, and the Pendleton Hospital. To the northeast are views of near 11K foot snowy peaks of San Jacinto and San Gorgonio, with rolling hills of De Luz and Fallbrook in the foreground.

Lake Mathews is a private reservoir, so you cannot access the lake, but Lake Perris is a public lake about 20 minutes away for swimming, fishing and boating. There are tons of hiking trails nearby and we are surrounded by ecological preserves. The area is very peaceful and serene.

Cooperative managers Jim and Dawn host visitors who want to enjoy nature, participate in regenerative gardening all while off-setting their travel footprint. Fees go to our not for profit land restoration which includes planting trees, improving aquifers and enriching the soil.
The property is a owned by a restorative co-op (turning a former illegal dump into an oasis of hope) where we invite you to participate in creative local solutions to our larger global problems. * If your group is larger than six adults, pease visit our group listings page. If your group needs special privacy and sound requirements and you'd like to reserve the entirer property, you will need to contact us directly. * Spaces are available on a first come, first serve basis.
* Our visitor support pricing is $20 for the first person and $15 for all additional adults. Kids 6 - 12 are $5 per night. We don't want to charge for kids 6 and under, so do not include them in your booking. Thanks!

This Property once owned by 1 family was divided and sold , so there is some neighbor shared utilities so we try and be very respectful to those utilities which includes shared roadway , garbage , and water usage , I currently live on the upper section of the property ,and enjoy regular use of the park via hiking , mountain biking , etc the camping spots are separated but campsite 2 would need to walk to the side of campsite 1 to have access to the mountain biking , hiking park / preserve . The preserve offers several different terrains from Rocky areas to rolling hills to straight down vertical cliffs , some times of year the rain was so heavy the grass and weeds have grown 4 ft tall and other times there is barely a plant insight . The hiking trails are generally wide with some of the mountain biking paths becoming a foot or 2 wide . The wildlife generally stays at our end of the preserve which includes occasionally deer have been seen , but on a regular basis you will encounter Donkeys , Coyotes , Bobcats , Fox , Rabbits , Squirrels , Hawk's , Eagles , Crow , Owl's , and not very often a mountain lion has been either seen in person , tracks spotted or a local resident has caught them on there security cameras . If your up for the day long hike you can make it all the way to the top of Blue Mountain near Grand Terrace another great spot for overlooking the nearby cities especially as it gets closer to sunset

It's so nice to "meet you" Rock & Tree was created by a young and newly married couple, Taryn and and Anson. Anson Krekeler is a folk and blues musician and has traveled all around the U.S. playing his music and I was an aspiring Voice-Over actress. One day, we decided that we wanted to live the rest of our lives hosting live music, and plays and that's how Rock & Tree began. As the idea grew, we wanted to create an Open Canvas so that the guest could dream up what they wanted on our stage. We moved to the Inland Empire from Santa Monica, in 2017 with the dream of building an open canvas event space out of sustainable, re purposed and natural materials. Our mission is help enrich the culture of Perris, CA by providing a unique venue that takes you away from the hustle and bustle and takes you to a wonderland of nature surrounded by rocks and eucalyptus trees.A true passion project, Anson and I are building everything ourselves with the help of our friends and family every now and again. Our process is that we source as much lumber using the dead Eucalyptus trees we have here on the 36 acre property and we are constantly trying to come up with innovative ways to use recycled and donated materials in the venue. We offer the overnight camp on May 4th and 25th (Saturdays), as well! If you would like to visit with us for longer or during the week, please inquire first if we have the capacity to accommodate. The camp is typically not available on Saturdays after 1:00 p.m. due to other community activities and engagements of the hosts.
ABOUT THE AREA: Nestled on just under 4 foothill acres backing against the wilderness of the Santa Rosa Plateau, but only 2 minutes from shopping, coffee, and dining, our small, veteran owned ranch with a private petting zoo opportunity provides a charming and picturesque setting that encompasses the essence of rustic hospitality. For more than a decade, John and Kim looked for a place within Temecula Wine Country that could be their forever home. When they saw this lush, hilltop property with they knew it was right. But what to do with the separate lower area, bordered by a seasonal stream lined by cottonwoods and big leaf maples? Cottonwood Creek Camp was the answer.
Located in the heart of Temecula Valley Wine Country, you'll be minutes away from 50 wineries. Situated down a quiet rural lane, and secluded by lush California pepper trees, your glamping spot is an ideal getaway for wine lovers who prefer to get away from the city hustle.
The camp area has seven spots that can be occupied by other glampers, and has a common use firepit with Adirondack chairs for those who want to compare notes about their wine tasting adventures. Plenty of onsite parking.
In the morning, grab your coffee and step outside to watch the hot air balloons drift overhead. During the day, sample local vino from the 50 nearby wineries. In the evening, nosh at one of the great restaurants in Old Town Temecula, and then return to camp for sunset views and fireside relaxation.
You should know that there are two free-roaming Blue Heelers who live on the 5-acre property and make regular visits to the camp area. Visiting dogs that socialize well with other dogs are welcome by us and by Molly and Taz as well, but please be honest with yourself and us about your dog's temperament, and book elsewhere if there is ANY chance of canine conflict with our very energetic pups. Also, Molly does not trust very small children (we think there was an incident), so if you have small children, we ask that you keep them from interacting with our Heelers.

Our little prefab studio is located in a quiet, safe, tucked away rural neighborhood... at the foot of beautiful Saddleback Mountain. Chickens and cats free range among the oak trees and you will often hear the sounds of horses meandering down the road.Our canyon has a real country feel to it and yet you are only minutes away from the city. We are situated in a hub of hiking and biking trails and, if desired, we are only 30 minutes from the beach. In the evening you can often hear the bleating of sheep on the nearby hills and coyotes yipping in the night.
