My family and I went tent camping on Shane’s land and it was great. The camp sites were far apart enough that it felt secluded, which we loved especially because we didn’t have to share a portal toilet. My daughter enjoyed seeing the animals in their animal sanctuary. Would recommend for small families.

You can bring your own tent or stay in one of their two incredibly unique, cozy rooms (each full of charm and character). From the moment we arrived, it felt like stepping onto the set of an old western movie, complete with starry skies, peaceful mornings, and the sweetest animal crew (2 friendly dogs and 5 cats who might gently demand snacks 🐾). Whether you're into yoga, meditation, or just sitting still with a coffee in nature, this place delivers. It’s ideal for solo getaways, couple retreats, birthdays, or even a small wedding. Honestly, it’s a magical spot that leaves you feeling recharged and totally at peace."

We loved all of the interactions with the animals! My girls (ages 7 and 9) had a great time with the goats, alpaca, dogs, pigs! We added in the animal encounter experience because we weren't sure we were going to see any animal otherwise and it was a great upgrade because we also were able to visit and learn about the chickens!

Such a beautiful place. I’ve only been gone a couple days and I already miss it. If you’re into camping for the connection with nature, it can’t be beat. Miles of places to hike, my daughters and I walked for an hour and a half with 30 goats and an alpaca who were following us around. It is a bit rustic. You might have to walk 10 minutes or jump in your car for a flush toilet, and our site didn’t have any electricity, but it depends what you value in a camping experience. And for me the beautiful views, huge boulders, random pig walking through my campsite in the morning while I was making my coffee, just simply can’t be beat by any other place I’ve seen. I really love it and will be back as often as possible. Also, the staff are amazing and welcoming.

2 nights at Rustic Wooded Ranch -Creekside Stay

Tent camping at Gemeni Moon Ranch was such a cool and unique experience. The 5 acre grounds is surrounded by beautiful trees and rustic architecture. Once you get to the grounds, It feels like you've been transported back in time to an old western movie. Tracy and her partner were amazing hosts and greeted us upon arrival with a tour of the entire property. Pets are welcome which was great because we got to bring our dog along for the adventure. There is an outdoor kitchen and bathrooms on site, as well as tables for eating and a cozy bonfire area. There is also a creek that runs through their property and you can hear the frogs singing at night which was awesome! I would highly recommend camping on their property. It was such a great way to spend a few days out of the city.

Benjamin's property is a gem. I could have started for several days and not tired of the views. I arrived in the area close to o check in time, so I drove straight to the farm. I'd planned to head back out to explore and maybe eat dinner in town. I was glad that I had plenty of food and water with me, because I was happy to stay put once I picked out my camp spot. The road to the retreat is not at all difficult, even in my mid roof van. Still, I was happy to stay put for the afternoon and drive down the mountain in the morning.

The road leading up to this campground was absolutely stunning and beautiful. When we arrived, we were greeted by several goats and alpacas, which made us feel like we had stepped into a whole new world. We also got to meet the owner, who was incredibly kind. We bought some firewood from them and had a lovely chat, which made our stay even more comfortable. The showers had nice hot water, which was perfect for bathing our baby. And the gorgeous oak tree, along with the beautiful sunlight and scenery, created such a meaningful memory for us. I’m a bit worried that once more people find out about this place, it might become harder to book in the future, but I still want to leave a great review out of gratitude. This was my very first Hipcamp review, so thank you!

My family and I really enjoyed this location. To be honest, this was our first time camping and feel this was a beginner friendly location. We needed to go to the shop to purchase a few items. The staff was great. We appreciate that there was firewood and small propane tanks for our Coleman kitchen. We enjoyed the views and the goats we would definitely come again.

Peaceful surroundings, private and a host that made us feel very welcomed. Shane went above and beyond to help us when we needed assistance - a kind soul indeed. If you are looking for a great camping spot this is 100% a good decision. Would stay here again in a heartbeat. 10/10. 5 stars!

We had a wonderful long weekend in the mountains at The Nook. Abby, our host was very responsive and helpful. The cabin was clean, cozy and well stocked with everything you would need for a comfortable stay. Would definitely recommend. The dirt road was a bit of a challenge but after a couple times back and forth you figure it out. Would stay there again.

Splitrock Farm Splitrock was part of a 160-acre avocado farm that prospered from 1970 to 2017, generating over 1million pounds of avocados per year until the previous owners switched off the water in 2017. Ben purchased 101 acres in 2021 with plans to harvest the dead avocado trees for firewood and replant with organic, sustainable crops such as grapes, citrus trees, and flowers. Splitrock's attraction comes from its unique groves, magnificent granite boulders, and sweeping vistas. Mixed within the avocado groves are several ancient groves and solitary trees that include 200 foot tall pines, hundreds of old oaks, and soaring palms. Freckled throughout the hillsides are thousands of humongous granite boulders, offering a prehistoric feel to the landscape. Above all, Splitrock offers unrivaled views. Over 40 miles of coastline includes views to Point Loma, the Carlsbad power station, and the Pendleton Hospital. The camp area has seven spots that can be occupied by other glampers, and has a common use firepit with Adirondack chairs for those who want to compare notes about their wine tasting adventures. Plenty of onsite parking. In the morning, grab your coffee and step outside to watch the hot air balloons drift overhead. During the day, sample local vino from the 50 nearby wineries. In the evening, nosh at one of the great restaurants in Old Town Temecula, and then return to camp for sunset views and fireside relaxation. You should know that there are two free-roaming Blue Heelers who live on the 5-acre property and make regular visits to the camp area. Our mission is help enrich the culture of Perris, CA by providing a unique venue that takes you away from the hustle and bustle and takes you to a wonderland of nature surrounded by rocks and eucalyptus trees. Anson and I continue to build everything ourselves with the help of our friends and family every now and again. Our process is that we source as much lumber using the dead Eucalyptus trees we have here on the 36 acre property and we are constantly trying to come up with innovative ways to use recycled and donated materials in the venue. Cold Creek is a unique 112-acre property in the San Bernardino National Forest. Because of its location in a 3,200 foot elevation, it's colder than the Southern California deserts and warmer than the cold mountains above us. Our temperatures rarely exceed 90F and rarely drop below 40F. We have plenty sun and about two to three days of snow every winter. A year-around creek keeps everything green and fresh around the year. We are the second owners since 1913, and operate a small organic orchard on the property. We are most famous for our honey, peaches and figs, but also grow apples, pears, persimmon, blackberries, greens, bay leaf, white sage and more.For years , we were WWOOF hosts (look it up ;-) and resisted opening up Cold Creek to traffic associated with daily camping arrivals, but we finally found the perfect spots for visitors to park their RVs, spend a quiet night and visit the orchard by foot.We are now excited by the prospect of focusing on expanding our micro-farming and inviting campers to look over our shoulders.

We are near Angeles National Forest, multiple Wildlife Sanctuaries - including Theodore Payne Wildlife Sanctuary - the Airport museum, and farming land. Hiking, mountain biking, ATV riding, and horse back riding are just some of the outdoor activities you can enjoy while on your trip here! We are only about a 5-10 minute drive to Lake Los Angeles if you'd like to head into town for a grocery run, or to grab a bite to eat at a restaurant. The property is just 20 minutes from the freeway and 25 minutes from the nearest hospital. This land is very special to me, as it was passed down to me from my grandparents. As hosts, we do not reside on the property, so you will head straight to your campsite and enjoy privacy. We hope you enjoy the quiet and remote desert atmosphere, star gazing, and amazing hikes as much as we do!About the Listing:Come park your RV on our property and set up camp at one of the most idyllic desert camping spots that California has to offer! We have multiple campsites, so you might see other campers in passing, but there is plenty of space to find your own space on the property. There are no hookups available on site, but generators are allowed. The ground will require some leveling as it's raw desert land. You might also expect to hear some desert animal sounds like crickets, birds, or coyotes - so if you are a light sleeper and this will bother you, earplugs are recommended. Please note that campers should bring drinking water with them, there is no potable water available on the property. There are no toilet facilities, this is true off-grid living!Additional Details to Note:- Check-in is after 2pm and check-out is before 12pm- Things to bring: Drinking water! Everything you need to camp comfortably. Think: toilet paper, cookware, bathing suits if you like, etc. - We do not have wifi available on site and cell reception is spotty, especially for certain carriers. Please prepare accordingly for your travels and your stay. - We welcome your pets!
