We loved this spot a lot, great for short stays or fishing trips, I wouldn't recommend for long stays with little ones, it could get really loud because the street next to it plus neighbors across front have noisy dogs, also the porta potty waste really dirty and some visible trash around the property during our stay probably from long weekend previously guests, anyway it was a good trip.

Shane and Nicole’s property is sooo beautiful! We camped at the Glamp in the Grove site and it was perfect. There was a structure that was great for putting our tent in, an outhouse + handwashing station, two tables, two chairs, and a fire pit (that we paid extra for). Shane was also super helpful and responded quickly which was appreciated. Thank you for an awesome stay Shane and Nicole :)

Weekend Trip to Lakeshore Retreat

Had a nice long weekend tent camping. Location has 2 elevations were you could set up camp. Upper area has some nice trees that provide good sheade. Overall pretty even and flat surface for the tents. It's a little windy in the mornings, so you need to make sure to stake down the tents. Soil is hard, glad we always pack a hammer and HD stakes, otherwise it would have been impossible to stake them down2. Location has a docking area for boats and is close to gas stations, restaurants and supermarkets. It's close to the road so you will have some noise from the cars driving by but it did not bother us much. There is a port-a-poti but no shower and 2 picnic tables with bench seating. Enjoyed using the fire pit. Would definitely book again.

Weekend Trip to Skyrocket Ranch

As an avid camper growing up, its my dream to create similar experiences I had as a kid with my daughter in her young years -- Skyrocket Ranch is the perfect place for such experiences. When researching camping locations (my default go-to is the Sierras) we wanted something close to home (LongBeach), that provided the same rugged, remote feel, without the hassles of worrying about over/under packing with a 2 year old. The Creekside camp provided all of that and more. The camp site was equipped with a tent (2 beds) enough pillows and comforters for even the coldest night, stove top grill (propane included), fire pit with seating for 4 and a picnic table. There was a small creek running through the camp that gave a nice serenity feel. The property feat orchards (oranges, lemons, and grapefruits) for picking, a duck pond, and a chicken coup with 2 roosters. Theres a pool but that was out of commission. There was internet access but not always available at the creekside camp site, and running water to do our dishes. Overall I give it an 8/10 -- PROS: remote camping experience, not much required to bring, free fruit, running water, clean bathrooms and shower, solar power generator for charging, super responsive host CONS: no cell reception or internet access (creekside camp) there was internet closer to the house or other campsites (Again this is only important when you have a 2 year old and you want her to settle down with a movie) and I would've really liked a fishing spot

Weekend Trip to Manzanita Ridge

Manzanita Ridge is a nice place to stay. The rv had great creature comforts like a bathroom. It is a 30-45 minute drive from Julian and Lake Cuyamaca. The host was very good at .aking the stay comfortable. My wife and son had a great time and we made some nice memories. First, Id like to share some things that might be helpful for your stay. The rv does come with an FAQ and I think it answers most questions. Doing things again, I would make sure to understand how much water is available and when to request the system be emptied for multiple night stays. As someone who is not familiar, id ask what tank color is what. If you are staying more than a night, I'd recommend asking the host how to know when to ask for the bathroom tank to be emptied, as one of the days we returned, the toilet was clogged. The host was on top of things and I never had an issue where they didn't right it quickly. Another tip, is if the stove isn't lighting after following the steps in the folder FAQ in the rv, the propane tank outside is probably closed. The one challenge my wife wasn't thrilled with was the pictures online don't really display how close you are to neighbors. The location is close to neighbors and you can even see into a neighbor's house if you move far away enough from the rv. The whole family loved the stargazing at night. The Sky explodes with stars, it left us awestruck. There is a lot of dead brush you can find to make a fire and was a huge plus. My family loved our time he

Weekend Trip to The "Camp-Sight"

Hidden gem 30 minutes from Temecula wineries. Cheri was amazing. She may want to advertise how great her location is. Clear night skies and plenty of space for our dogs. There was even a small outdoor kennel which was nice to have when we wanted to pack up and let the dogs chill. Cheri was there when we arrived and showed us how everything works. The RV is super clean. Couches were super comfortable. And the generator ensured we had lights and a radio. The radio has speakers inside and outside. This was a nice touch as we cooked on the bbq. There’s a generator. Being your own gas, but there was some when we arrived. It holds 5 gallons. We probably used 1.5 g per night. - heads up it’s not clamping. There are things in the RV that don’t worrk, fridge. But they are minor. To save water you must flip a switch outside before using. Again, not a big deal. We also pitched a second tent for our group. Plenty of space. In the morning we played frisbee and horseshoes. I hope to be back again soon.

3 nights at Ramona Wine Country Tiny Cabin

A quaint spot 3 miles or so outside of Ramona. Just tucked away enough you can almost drive by and miss it. The tiny cabins has its charms, not extravagant but has what you need. I would recommend keeping the windows cracked, the airflow is superb, did not feel stuffy once. Mind your head when you go to bed or the ceilings are closer than you think but there’s still plenty of room to stretch out your arms. Nature is an arm reach away, bats eating the bugs at night, mourning doves cooing in the morning, coyotes playfully walk by. Plenty of eateries nearby, from drunken noodles to shrimp burritos it was a pleasant surprise to get such good food. I would come again, I’d like to enjoy the pool more and walk around as well.

Very accommodating place. Super responsive host. Clear instructions and area is well kept! Will definitely be back in the future.

1 night at Rock & Tree

Rock and Tree grounds were a magical and perfect spot for us to camp for the night in our Subaru with a Roof Top Tent. Tons of flat open space with trees to stay near. Easy and quick to get to off the freeway. So many comfortable spots to enjoy on the property: creative covered seating areas, cool gazebo lounges, hammocks, perfect artistic solar lit spaces abound. Taryn and Taylor were so upbeat and easy to work with and get us set up. Running cold water, primative toilets, perfect for what we needed to stay the night. Thank you!!!

I love tent camping.Ed’s land was nice and clean with two camping tables for larger group.there are two trees on the land upper side which are made a good shade on the hot days so you can move the table over there or take midday nap.fortunately the street is not busy at the night so cars noise not gonna bother you and the other side on the lake jet skies and boats make a lot of noise until evening.Overall we enjoyed there . I had comunication with Ed by text,He responded me all the time very quickly .The direction is clear also inside the land is water so you can use it for wash dishes or hands.We were there with friends and I think if you want go there with family it should be fun for kids.

The site was not what we expected but it was a good experience! The Hosts were extremely welcoming and hospitable and very easygoing! About 20 minutes from downtown San Diego and a very affordable place made our stay very enjoyable!

A secluded glamping site that contains everything you need, including a private (seasonal pond). This private site is provided with about 1/2 acre of seclusion and equipped with everything needed for an amazing outdoor experience. The total property is about 5 acres, but is shared with our AirBnB: "Julians Red Fox Retreat", which can be booked separately or together with our "Manzanita Cove" glamping site. There are several hammocks around the grounds to relax as well as a few short trails to walk. The property is about a 7 minute drive from downtown Julian. Otherwise is it accessible by most vehicles. Please do not stop on the hill when leaving. You will spin your tires and damage the road.

Built in the 50’s it is sitting on 2 parcels and is over ½ acre in size. We also have 2 other cabins for rent in Julian for larger groups. The outhouse that you see was used when it was first built and now is for storage. The original owner built the house himself and it was originally on piers alone with no other foundation! There is a folder in the bedroom closet of the house over the years. The decorations were here when we bought it so we kept them to preserve the house’s uniqueness. We treasure this house which is nestled amongst the trees and has so many beautiful birds that visit. Many turkeys love to stop by too! If you hear the deep cooing from the monster doves (who are very shy) you can try to spot one. They are amazing. We really hope you love it as much as we do.

Just 15 minutes from restaurants, climb 700 feet up a mountainous access road in only 1.5 miles to a secluded Mountainous farm camping experience on a Regenerative Organic Avocado and Citrus grove, 501c3 Animal sanctuary and views of the city lights at night. The farm has over 700 avocados trees, citrus and nut trees. With pigs, chickens, ducks, geese and plenty of wildlife including: hawks, Owls, bunnies and more which all contribute to Regenerative Organic farming and offer viewing pleasure. The local area provides hiking, wildlife, mountain biking, lakes and 35 minutes to the nearest wine tasting in Temecula. We are an hour from the beach and roughly an hour and half to Skiing and Snowboarding at Mt. High. Minutes away from Santa Rosa Plateau for hiking. You are also a 15-30 minute drive to explore the amenities of the local cities, wine country and 45 minutes to the beach. The 21 acre property provides amazing views as well as biking and hiking along the local fire and farm roads. We offer Camping supplies such as tents or chairs if needed for a small rental fee as well as the ability to purchase fresh avocados, citrus or Farm fresh eggs from the grove. Our property sits on top of a hill on 10 acres of beautiful panoramic views of Cahuilla and, Palomar mountain along with rolling hills of large rock formation and colorful wildflowers in the spring. Nestled up to the wildlife preserve of the government bureau of land management which provides more of a quiet and private setting to enjoy what nature has to offer. You will see Jack rabbits and cotton tail bunnies, roadrunners, quail, owls, different type of birds, hawks, coyote, lizards, snakes and even some toads. On occasion you may see deer, Bob cats, mountain lion along with endangered kangaroo mice, The beautiful night sky is easy to see planets and shooting stars without the interruption of city lights. There are many trails to walk, hike, bike and horse back ride where you can discover large boulders in different shapes and sizes along with hidden caves. A variety of rocks and minerals can be found for those rock hound enthusiasts as well. At the camp site you will find a horseshoe pit ,indoor and outdoor games and treasure hunts for everyone to enjoy. If you want to bring your own set of golf clubs you can even hit some balls! Pets and horses are welcome. We provide Two horse corrals with feed buckets and access to water. There is a outdoor dog kennel. There are off road areas nearby. Bring your motor bike, quad or buggy and throw up some dirt. Not to far there is a Casino, small store and a restaurant and about 30 minutes away from the Temecula wineries. You don’t have to worry about packing up a bunch of camping equipment, our camp provides a 35 foot RV big enough for 6 people if you prefer a roof over your head and a place to sit down for a meal runs off a generator ( you will need to provide your own fuel. it is a 5 gallon capacity). and has indoor and outdoor lights and electrical outlets to plug in a fan or your phone and, there is a microwave to use. We have a cooler for you to use bur you will need to provide your own ice. There are dishes and utensils and a toilet. and water in and outside (You will need to bring your own blankets, sleeping bags and towels). Also provided arepropane b.b.q, propane fire ring, outdoor bench, table and camp chairs. There is enough room on this property to bring your own camper, RV or tent or ? but it must be self contained. There is no electric, water or waste hook up. If you are just looking for a place to set up your own tent, I will consider the cost to be lower. Please contact me if you may have any questions.
