The cabin is conveniently located just minutes from the north entrance of Lassen National Park. For entertainment, I have a TV (no cable)/DVD player with a selection of movies, board games, and reading material including a few books and magazines. There is timber land at the back of the property with plenty of trails to walk or ride a mountain bike (if you bring one). Lassen National Park is a short drive away. Also nearby is lake McCumber. I have a wood burning stove inside that you can use for a fire. Absolutely NO FIRES outside. There is a fire ban in effect, thank you for your cooperation and understanding. I have a propane BBQ outside that you can use, along with a picnic bench and other outside seating. I will provide a selection of tea, hot coco, coffee and oatmeal to get your day started. Be sure to bring food with you since the nearest grocery story is about 9 miles away. I will provide a basket of firewood to use during your stay, but it's a good idea to bring extra since it will go fast. Because you're in the forest, there is limited cell reception so please plan accordingly. I've found that Verizon has some signal while AT&T has none. Since it's meant to get away from it all, not having cell service might be a good thing. :) The master bedroom is on the entire loft floor so there isn't a lock or door that separates the main area downstairs. Just so you're aware. There is a door and lock on the guest bedroom downstairs. All you'll need to bring are your personal items, food for your stay, and extra firewood! Once booked, I will send more helpful tips and information for your stay a week prior to your check in date. Dogs - I allow dogs because I believe they are part of the family, but please notify me if you intend to bring your dog prior to your stay. If there is high wind in the forecast, the electric company, PG&E may turn the power off for safety reasons. They usually notify me a day in advance and I will let you know right away, but I wanted you to know that it might be a possibility during your stay. For Winter Guests: A 4 wheel drive vehicle or car with chains is HIGHLY recommended to travel to the cabin. The main road is paved but there will be snow/ice in the area. Weekend Trip to Mill Creek Resort

I absolutely loved camping at Mill Creek! The scenery was beautiful, and the sound of the creek flowing nearby made the whole trip feel extra peaceful. It felt so nice to escape for the weekend, relax, and just soak up nature. I also really appreciated that they offered firewood right there at the site. It made campfire time super convenient and stress-free! Having cell signal was a nice bonus too, since it allowed me to stay connected with loved ones while still enjoying an unplugged vibe. Everyone around was friendly and courteous. We did have a neighboring camper who got noisy at first, though they became more respectful once reminded about the quiet hours. Overall, it was a wonderful experience, and I would definitely come back again!

The campsite is on a beautiful property with close proximity (about 1 hrish) from Lassen NP and 30 mins from town. There’s a beautiful creek that runs right through the land. Dog friendly and lots of dog friendly hikes near by. Loved our stay and would definitely come back!

BigFoot Lodging campground is a beautiful little hidden gem. With healthy tall pinetrees there is shade and beauty at each site. Sites are wide with plenty of room for a tent if someone in your crew doesn't want to sleep in the RV (our daughter!). Picnic table at each site. Fire pits, although there are no grates over the fire pits in case you wanted to cook that way. GORGEOUS little waterfall 5 min walk from the camping sites. Helpful hosts. Small store with all those little things you forgot. Firewood available for $10 per bundle, cheaper than the convenience store or the dollar store in Shingletown. It's just a really pretty little campground that we will definitely be returning to!

Weekend Trip to Butterfly Valley Yurt

The Butterfly Yurt is the perfect glamping spot! It's private, comfortable, and has just enough amenities to make the stay easy yet with the camping feel. Lori and Lucky were great hosts -- nearby if needed but out of sight and earshot. The location is great for access to Quincy, the Feather River canyon, the Lakes region (the hike to the Sierra Buttes lookout is epic!), swimming, hot springs, etc. Or just laze on the yurt's deck with a cup of coffee and read. We hope to go back again soon.

2 nights at Tambo Ranch Tiny House Village

This was the perfect place to take a day or two and just relax. The tiny house had just enough kitchen that for a short stay you didn’t need to go out unless you wanted to. It was impressively efficient. I did bring a cooler because I like cold beverages, but the small fridge would be enough for the yogurts and cheese I brought with for my 2 night stay. I had a nice time playing with the kittens, Caspian the dog, (who dutifully slept on my porch) and exploring the property. The bed downstairs was very comfortable and it was nice falling asleep to the sounds of nature outside. 10/10 recommend!

What a beautiful campground. I was doing a drive by and stayed one night only, wished I could stayed longer. The bathrooms were clean. I will come back. The people who work there were helpful.

VERY helpful and accommodating. Kept the office open late for our arrival and spent time directing us in the dark and giving us loads of information in the morning about RVs. Their espresso was delicious and they had several milk choices to make our morning travels tasty. THANK YOU! Would highly recommend.

Weekend Trip to Butterfly Valley Yurt

This was our first time camping in a yurt- or any premade structure for that matter! I couldn’t complain about a single thing, there was so much more provided in the yurt than we could have imagined. There is basically a full kitchen set up witch dishes and utensils, extra blankets, fire wood for the fire place, A SHOWER, toilet paper, lighters, even cooking oil! It was such a relaxing get away for my family and I. We had such a blast exploring the property, going to the swimming hole basically 3 minutes away, and just enjoying each others company. Although the structure itself is rather close to the home, it still feels so secluded and like you’re right in the middle of nowhere. If you’re thinking about pulling the trigger on something nice for camping, don’t bother looking anywhere else!

Very nice campground. Clean bathrooms. Only downside has only 2 showers. Nice short hike to a waterfalls. Other than the shower situation which leads to long lines, it was an awesome experience. We did tent camping

1 night at Mill Creek Resort

My husband and I camped here on a Wednesday night and it was very quiet and such a pretty spot. We got in late (about 9:30 pm) which normally makes me a bit nervous but there was something about the vibe of the campgrounds that made me feel at ease. The sounds of the creek in the distance, the smell of the trees, it just felt so cozy and welcoming! Downsides: people walking by at 1 am flashing their flashlight directly at your tent. A bit spooked by that. Upsides: not feeling like you’re totally alone in the woods because people were around but not too close that it felt crowded.

Weekend Trip to Mill Creek Resort

Awesome campground! Well maintained, beautiful area, and only 30 minutes from Lassen. Campsite #9 was just okay, it was quite sunny compared to the other sites and didn’t have much of a flat area to put a tent on. Would 100% comeback to Mill Creek campground but would try a different campsite.
