The area features excellent road and mountain biking in the immediate vicinity, vast access to hiking and backpacking trails, a huge variety of rock climbing in the area, the best whitewater rafting in California on the Tuolumne River, with some tasty places to eat or drink coffee in the nearby town of Groveland, just 10 minutes away. Accommodations at the farm are certainly rustic, and private but not secluded, with occasionally heavily project-exploded shared kitchen and living space, showers, and airy flush toilets. Do be advised that animals are pooping, hammers are hammering, sometimes we need to look into a health or animal injury related issue. Sometimes there is blood in an animal birth or slaughter, and our working guardian dogs have been known to be noisy some nights. Water and electricity are both very limited (though we reuse all our water), waste must be carefully sorted into a number of different categories, and there is always evidence of ump-teen projects unfolding at once. The most difficult condition during much of the summer are nuisance flies, which are always gone at night. We have almost no mosquitoes or ticks. Depending on the exact situation and time of year, guests may have the opportunities to snuggle with baby animals and run our herd to or from pasture, and maybe even get their hands dirty picking veggies in the garden.

Mac’s cabin was a comfortable and beautiful experience. We enjoyed each moment that he came by and spoke with us. He took the time to check in on us with friendly laughter. The restrooms and showers were very conveniently located. The amenities like the microwave and heater were very handy. At the end of our trip, Mac was very friendly enough to leave us with hand picked tomatoes and a watermelon from his garden. Not to mention that I made an oversight on our trip dates and Mac was more than accommodating to push up our stay and adjust the dates. He’s very helpful and his campground is top notch across the board. Highly recommend would come again.

We very much enjoyed our stay in the Long the Way cabin. Wifi /service was a downfall but..camping. They out a lot of effort into the little ammenities in our cabin down to bandaids and cleaning supplies and coffee and snacks and bottled water. They were accommodating when we asked for anything. Wondernut farm is clearly a labor of love, which shows in the cute and comfortable guest cabin and thoughtfully designed common space. We enjoyed our night in the cabin, especially the outdoor shower shed after our Yosemite adventure. Matt was very welcoming and kind, and we enjoyed chatting with him and other guests. We would absolutely return!

We had a wonderful stay! The location was perfect—close to the national parks, and Clovis is such a charming town. As a family of four (two adults and two kids), the RV was just right for us: comfortable, cozy, and with everything we needed. The pool was a big hit, and we loved having it to relax after our outings. We visited Yosemite and even stopped by the waterpark in Fresno on our way out, which made the trip extra fun. The camp is a perfect spot for people looking for communal outdoor recreation, with many friendly animals and amenities. It’s nearby the national parks and Fresno and you will definitely get to know the camp owners and other visitors. I would absolutely return! Be ready for the heat and bring a swimsuit and treats for the animals.

We stayed in a bunk cabin with our 9month old baby and had a great time. Mac is a wonderful host! The twin cabin is small but great if you wanna camp with some amenities i.e. ac, a mini fridge, coffee maker, and microwave. It was hot out in July, about 90 degrees during the day, but the cabin stayed cool with the ac. Rainbow pool was very close and a great way to spend the first day in. Recommend hiking up river a bit. There a lots of spots to hang out not just the big main hole with the waterfall. Yosemite is about an hour away and always so beautiful. This is a great spot for families looking for a quiet, safe spot to camp near Yosemite.

I would recommend this place with some caveats. - Bring your own shampoo etc and towels. This is not an Airbnb. Treat it like a camping trip with nicer amenities, and you won’t be disappointed. The shower structures were lovely and smelled like cedar, but yes there are spiders. - Expect dust. The common kitchen is an open structure and we visited during dry season - things are dusty. But it is equipped most things you’d need - pots, pans, knives and such - and fresh well water. - The number of occupants in the listing are absolute MAX if you put sleeping beds on the floor. It’s not the number of people that can sleep on beds. Each unit has one bed, and two people sleep comfortably. This isn’t what we expected, but they were able to set up cots so our kids can sleep. - The Lookout is an open structure and it does get quite cold at night. They have blankets but bring extra. We had a great time here - the animals are so sweet and we got to see their milking process in the morning. The bathrooms are clean and the back opens to the field - it was a unique experience I never knew I needed lol! Again, if you pack like you would for a camping trip, you’re set and will have a wonderful visit.

Mac was so welcoming and outgoing. He made me feel comfortable during the stay. He asked what our plans were and gave us extra sites to see! Rainbow pools was one he suggested and it was only like 20 minutes away or closer on the way to Yosemite! The toilets and bathrooms were okay but all worked!

We had a great time staying at Jasleen's Mountain Trailer! The property is tucked back in the foothills and the trailer has everything you could possibly need. It was comfortable, clean, and Jasleen was an amazing host! We had to message her a few times about things and she was very quick to respond and help us out. Definitely recommend!
