When my husband and I were dating in NY we confessed our mutual desire to get back "home" to the west. It made me fall in love with him even faster. So when we married we moved to Washington DC knowing that in time we would make it west. 5 years later, when the traffic and the politics has taken its toll, we made a trip to Tucson and fell in love with this charming property that exudes all the beauty and grace of the Sonoran Desert. I've always adored the SW Hummingbirds and wanted to name the property La Hacienda Chuparosa. When we moved in, for the first week, every morning a hummingbird was sipping nectar from one of our plants in the front yard. We knew it was meant to be.

What to expect:
We are in a rural neighborhood where most parcels are 1-3 acres, we have seven acres. It's quiet around here but along with the natural sounds of the desert like yipping coyotes, and woodpeckers pecking, you may hear a horse, dog, or chicken. While we are on the outskirts of Tucson, we are not completely remote.
We have carved our sites out of the natural layout of the desert. There are many kinds of cactus in our area in addition to the magnificent Saguaro, and uneven areas when walking. We keep it as natural as possible.
We have a small "Mercantile" on property. This is our office, but we also have items you may have forgotten, and souvenirs made by local artists. Also available is firewood, and ice is for sale for your convenience. We have a small Laundry Shack (two washers, two dryers) 2.00 wash/2.00 dry. You'll need cash for these things, we do not take any other form of payment at this time.
Camp Saguaro is tobacco-free.

We (Tim and Victoria) moved out to our place in the desert in February 2008 along with our many plants. We have continued to grow our little farm of 6 acres to what it is today, which includes an orchard with about 50 fruit and nut trees and enclosed garden/greenhouse structures with veggies and herbs that are protected from wildlife and the elements. We have a seasonally heated pool with 3/4 wraparound deck and amazing views of the Tucson Mountains. We have a basketball court, a ping pong table, cornhole court as well for recreation. Our Beach site has a domed 'chill zone' with heaters in the winter, comfortable chairs for relaxation and a great spot to let your dog hang out unleashed. Our Prickly Pear site has a pull through for campers and RVs. Our RV site has 30 amp electric and black water dump station.
All of our sites are fenced in, and have many, many cool amenities such as fire pits, sinks with fresh, pure water, table with 4 chairs, gas grills and lounge chairs/porch swing.

Campers can enjoy a warm beautiful sunset and star gazing in the evening, with views of the hazy band of the Milky Way and shooting stars next to the fire pit provided at each site. This is a safe place to get off the road for a bit, or to take a break from the busy/noisy city life, to relax and unwind in nature! Dogs are welcome, but please pick up after your pet!
There is also a Round Pen provided for travelers with up to 2 horses with a fill station for water. Feed will be intermittently available to purchase for those in need.

I offer 4 dry camping options. You can book the Tent Cabana-The Shady Rest- listing or you can dry camp by booking through my Tent and Vehicle Camping listing. There are no exact designated spaces for tent/vehicle camping. You can choose where you prefer to camp. An extra vehicle is OK as long as it's part of your one campsite. 2 groups with 2 camp vehicles is 2 campsites.
I also have the Pool House, an indoor option with a power outlet, and it's close to the pool and restroom area. You can set up your bed or rent a full size bed which I will set up for you.
This is my private property, you and your gear are safe and secure. You can leave your campsite and go exploring, no one will bother your stuff.
I have WiFi and great cell service here. Please arrive by 8pm unless arrangements are made in advance. I meet with you and show you around.
I will greet you and show you around. I close my gates at dark. Once you are here you may come and go as you please.
I am located just over an hour away from Tucson and 25 minutes off the 10.
Dry campers- Off the pool area there is a clean restroom in my back garage and a sink with hot water. There is a breakfast room with clean refrigerator, microwave and coffee maker available for your use. Lots of local birds visit daily. You are welcome to visit and pet my horses and donkeys!

So when we married we moved to Washington DC knowing that in time we would make it west. 5 years later, when the traffic and the politics has taken its toll, we made a trip to Tucson and fell in love with this charming property that exudes all the beauty and grace of the Sonoran Desert. We looked at each other as we walked around looking at the stunning Mtn. Views and the mesquite fence and knew we were finally "home."
I've always adored the SW Hummingbirds and wanted to name the property La Hacienda Chuparosa. When we moved in, for the first week, every morning a hummingbird was sipping nectar from one of our plants in the front yard. We knew it was meant to be.

What to expect:
We are in a rural neighborhood where most parcels are 1-3 acres, we have seven acres. It's quiet around here but along with the natural sounds of the desert like yipping coyotes, and woodpeckers pecking, you may hear a horse, dog, or chicken. While we are on the outskirts of Tucson, we are not completely remote.
We have carved our sites out of the natural layout of the desert. There are many kinds of cactus in our area in addition to the magnificent Saguaro, and uneven areas when walking. We keep it as natural as possible.
We have a small "Mercantile" on property. This is our office, but we also have items you may have forgotten, and souvenirs made by local artists. Also available is firewood, and ice is for sale for your convenience. We have a small Laundry Shack (two washers, two dryers) 2.00 wash/2.00 dry. You'll need cash for these things, we do not take any other form of payment at this time.
Camp Saguaro is tobacco-free.

We (Tim and Victoria) moved out to our place in the desert in February 2008 along with our many plants. We have continued to grow our little farm of 6 acres to what it is today, which includes an orchard with about 50 fruit and nut trees and enclosed garden/greenhouse structures with veggies and herbs that are protected from wildlife and the elements. This is a safe place to get off the road for a bit, or to take a break from the busy/noisy city life, to relax and unwind in nature! Dogs are welcome, but please pick up after your pet!

I offer 4 dry camping options. You can book the Tent Cabana-The Shady Rest- listing or you can dry camp by booking through my Tent and Vehicle Camping listing. There are no exact designated spaces for tent/vehicle camping. You can choose where you prefer to camp. An extra vehicle is OK as long as it's part of your one campsite. 2 groups with 2 camp vehicles is 2 campsites.
I also have the Pool House, an indoor option with a power outlet, and it's close to the pool and restroom area. You can set up your bed or rent a full size bed which I will set up for you.
This is my private property, you and your gear are safe and secure. You can leave your campsite and go exploring, no one will bother your stuff.
I have WiFi and great cell service here. Please arrive by 8pm unless arrangements are made in advance. I meet with you and show you around.

I am located just over an hour away from Tucson and 25 minutes off the 10.

Karls'a place is a patch of heaven! The detail and thought she has placed into this property if second to none. We arrived early in the day (her early in the day check-in time is a realy nice plus) and we got settled in pretty quick. It was lovely spending time with the animals such a relaxing atmosphere.
We thought we had seen it all, then night was upon us and Karla's property was that of magic. It was stunning, the lights and beauty, honeslty at every turn on the property. Not to mention the amazing AZ night sky!
Karla has stunning attention to detail and her heart has been placed into this patch of heaven in Southern AZ! I would highly recommend this Hipcamp, a truly amazing place to stay!

We enjoyed staying on Jennifer's land. She was hospitable, meeting us as we arrived and showing us how to use the shower in the barn. Directions were great and the stay was pleasant and quiet. Woke to a nice sunrise and mourning doves.

Great Place! Michael was very communicative and proactively gave us all the info we needed. Kitt has a great view of the goats. Watching them play with the dogs and each other was really cool. The ranch is really isolated and it was so peaceful and relaxing. Very different from the campgrounds we go to. We definitely recommend!!

Karla is such a thoughtful, hospitable hipcamp host. She puts so much intention into the details to make your stay comfortable and welcome. We really appreciated the unexpected accommodations like coffee, a microwave, snacks and games. Her property is really magically decorated as well. Five stars!

Weekend Trip to Camp Saguaro
We stayed 1 night for Valentine’s Weekend.
This is the cutest campground. There are several campsites for tents and small trailers. The toilets, showers, and common space are great. The campground was full but everyone was quiet and respectful.
The Adobe was wonderful. It was pretty chilly (mid 40s) at night but the Adobe was warm enough with a thick blanket. At one point we opened the window to let fresh air in. Bed was good.
Will definitely camp here again!

Great small and very well maintained campground with very friendly hosts. Make sure to check out their mercantile: in addition to the basic necessities, they have homemade sourdough bread and tastefully created souvenirs including T-shirts and hoodies. The magical mushroom was super cosy yet all sites looked really great and comfortable.

Camping at Saguaro Glamp was such a treat! We enjoyed just hanging out and spending time in nature. The tent was spacious with a very comfortable bed. The hot shower was wonderful as was the pellet heater for our cool nights. Conny and her crew were so friendly and attentive to whatever we needed. We felt right at home there. Would definitely go back given the opportunity.

Had a really great stay in The Cannonball. The little cabin was super cute and cozy, and Jennifer gave us a mini tour when we arrived which was such a nice touch. She was very reachable the whole time and genuinely warm and hospitable.
The paths around the property are really well lit, which made walking around at night easy.
Everything was clean, peaceful, and quiet. The only sounds we heard were wildlife, which made it feel even more relaxing.
We also really appreciated having access to a toilet, sink, and shower. That made the stay way more comfortable. The only small thing is the cabin could use a bit more insulation for warmth, but the host mentioned they’re already working on a solution for constant heat flow.
And the stargazing out there is AMAZING.

Toni & Karl’s property was safe, clean, and FUN. Wish I was in more of a social mood when I arrived, but I was ready for bed!
There was a little something for everyone. They had Dirty Dancing projecting onto the wall over their pool when I visited & a few tables of smiling faces.
I was worried about finding a spot to rest my head with the annual Tucson rock & gem show being in town, but Toni & Karl pulled through for me last minute. I arrived in just a SUV, and they made room for me. Very kind & welcoming! 10/10 recommend!

Very hip for a hip camp. We stayed in the adobe which was so warm despite the rain we had that night. Thank a god we were not in a tent. The grounds are amazing and the showers and restrooms were exceptional. Highly recommend.

I loved everything about this place!! My first time using Hipcamp and I fear I was too spoiled 🤣 I stayed here 3 nights and could have kept going! It’s the perfect place for someone like me who loves camping but also loves amenities like showering and using a toilet. They really thought of everything for this place and I really admired the lighting at night and the mercantile!!! Omg I just loved getting to shop at a campground. I have 0 complaints about this place except that I had to leave 💔 I’ve already recommended this place to my friends and will def stay again whenever I’m in the area. THANK YOU camp saguaro I love you!! 🌵
