Also to ensure that we keep our little slice of heaven beautiful, please pack out what you pack in. Our property is surrounded with views of Mount Lemmon, the Tortolita Mountain Park, Black Mountain, Newman Peak, and Picacho Peak. Come enjoy the prolific wildflowers of the desert bloom this spring! Campers can enjoy a warm beautiful sunset and star gazing in the evening, with views of the hazy band of the Milky Way and shooting stars next to the fire pit provided at each site. This is a safe place to get off the road for a bit, or to take a break from the busy/noisy city life, to relax and unwind in nature! Dogs are welcome, but please pick up after your pet!
There is also a Round Pen provided for travelers with up to 2 horses with a fill station for water. Feed will be intermittently available to purchase for those in need.

RVs welcome! We can currently accommodate up to a 36ft travel trailer or horse trailer with living quarters. This is a dry camp area. There is a portable toilet with sink for campers to utilize. We also have an Inverter as a rental option to provide power for an RVer if so desired. We can also fill Fresh Water Tanks for use while camping. We are currently working on a dump station. Also to ensure that we keep our little slice of heaven beautiful, please pack out what you pack in. Please do not leave trash or food at the campsites or leave food unsecured this will attract wildlife which will surely make your camping trip interesting.
Our property is surrounded with views of Mount Lemmon, the Tortolita Mountain Park, Black Mountain, Newman Peak, and Picacho Peak. Come enjoy the prolific wildflowers of the desert bloom this spring! Campers can enjoy a warm beautiful sunset and star gazing in the evening, with views of the hazy band of the Milky Way and shooting stars next to the fire pit provided at each site. This is a safe place to get off the road for a bit, or to take a break from the busy/noisy city life, to relax and unwind in nature! Dogs are welcome, but please pick up after your pet!
There is also a Round Pen provided for travelers with up to 2 horses with a fill station for water. Feed will be intermittently available to purchase for those in need.

Site is bordered by a road as mentioned in other reviews, it’s a quiet neighborhood access road with a low speed limit- a handful of cars came and went during typical hours, was not disruptive at all to our stay.

Tent camping right next to emus, where I’ll recommend! Enjoyed a two day stay here. People were quiet and kind, spaces are all nicely dispersed, and the location was great for us to avoid the hustle and bustle but enjoy a weekend exploring all around Phoenix.
If you can, recommend bringing your own campfire ring. Not all spots have fire pits.
Water spigots all over the campground, and that was great as well!

I enjoyed my two nights here and was able to get my 25' travel trailer in and out with out issue. Shawn and the family were friendly but mainly stayed towards towards the front of the lot (in the house) and gave me plenty of privacy in the back. Their dog seemed sweet but they kept her inside so she didn't interact with my sometimes excitable pair who invaded her space. Overall I'd recommend and would stay here again when passing through Phoenix.

This is a great Hipcamp! First, the spot is great. You have a very large, private environment behind their house. Wendy has set up a lovely seating area, picnic area, and recreation area. You are near their barn, there is a large grassy area and a nice tree for shade. Wendy sent very clear instructions on YouTube that show how to access the property. While to have access to Phoenix and Scottsdale, you are in a quiet, more rural environment (although there is development going on all around them). The birds in the morning were delightfull! I would highly recommend for a short or long term stay in the area.

The platform tent site at Weary Traveler Haven was clean, beautiful, and incredibly peaceful—exactly what we were hoping for over the holiday season. Communication with Taylor was excellent from start to finish, making everything easy and stress-free. We truly enjoyed the quiet surroundings and would absolutely recommend this spot to anyone looking for a relaxing tent- camping getaway.
