Chad and Monica moved from the metro phoenix area to Willcox Arizona in the summer of 2015 with the goal of starting a vineyard and winery and living a simpler life in the country. Since moving to Willcox they have cleared 50 acres and planted over 6000 grape vines with more to plant coming soon. They fell in love with the spectacular views, the wildlife and the people. With spectacular sunrises and sunsets and clear night skies its a beautiful place to live and visit. With a working vineyard and winery you can walk from your camp and buy a bottle of wine or just enjoy a glass on the large deck located at the tasting room that over looks the grain field and silos, orchards and vineyards. There is incredible history that surrounds the area including: Cochise and Geronimo's battle grounds against the US Calvery, the Butterfield Stagecoach routes and pony express trails, The battle of the OK Coral with the Earp Brothers nearby. Birds and Barrels Vineyards is located within one of the only two American Viticulture Areas(AVA's) in Arizona. 2 nights at Birds and Barrels Vineyards

This is just what we were looking for. We are not big RV park people. We prefer to boondock when we can. This checked all the boxes for us as we are self sufficient and just need a safe place to park and sleep. We are gone all day exploring so we don't need a lot of amenities. This is no frills, but with beautiful views of the surrounding mountains, vineyards and quiet. The property owners are very nice, have 2 friendly dogs, some chickens & turkeys. RV spots are pretty level and include a picnic table and grill. For us it was perfect.

We stayed one night and all was well. We were met by our host as we arrived and given instructions to the campsites. We were able to find a level site and had a quiet and peaceful night. After we set up our trailer we had dinner at Tirrito Farm. It’s about three miles away and has an excellent setting and food, definitely recommended as well.

Willcox is such a great place to visit and chad/monica's space was a great way to explore! I stayed there and enjoyed both the wine country and Chiricahua National Monument. Space is exactly as listed, so its definitely best if you're self-contained/self-resourced. And visiting the tasting room is a MUST!

Myself, my husband and our three dogs enjoyed camping on Chad/Monica's land near the vineyards. It was easy to find and we got there in time to do some wine tasting. The two turkeys came over to welcome us and checked on us periodically. Lots of history and sightseeing in the area.
