Overlooking the Gulf of Mexico, Orange Beach is best known as a hub for water sports like kayaking, canoeing, boating, and jet skiing. RVers can drive to Waterfront Park, which features a fishing pier that juts into Wolf Bay, before stopping in at a variety of RV parks and campgrounds in town that can accommodate campervans and trailers. These typically include amenities such as wifi, full hookups, and laundry facilities, along with amazing beachside views. For a change of scenery, RVers can travel further out into nature at Gulf State Park. Its white sandy beaches, nature trails, and butterfly garden are accessible from on-site campgrounds with pedestal grills and full hookups for water, sewer, and electricity with pull-through and back-in RV sites. Or, tow the trailer west to Perdido Key State Park for swimming, sunbathing, and picnics. The park doesn’t allow camping, but nearby private RV resorts and Hipcamps offer hookups, laundry facilities, and bathhouses.

Heart of the Country is our home and also your own personal twelve acre state park whenever you stay with us! We are less than 15 minutes from Interstate 10 and from Interstate 65. I offer a half-dozen campsites, all either on a relatively level paved driveway or grass. Power (20 amp and 30 amp) and water is available. We have two 30 amp campsites, which are first come, first served. WIFI is available! (please ask for password). We have a portable toilet for your use. This is a Longleaf Pine sanctuary with lots of nature trails. This is also a hobby farm with livestock (Donkey, two Goats, a Duck and a flock of Chickens). I feed the livestock grain every morning usually between 8 and 9 am, and again hay before dusk. You are always welcome to join me and I'll introduce all of them to you! My dog, Homer, is our very friendly welcoming ambassador who will enthusiastically great you upon your arrival. I put him up in his kennel each evening around dusk, then lock him in his shed until morning which keeps him from backing during the night. We also host an AirBnB, so other guests may be here as well. Texting via the app is our preferred mode of communication. If you call, please leave a message if I can't answer, and I will call you back. We are slowly updating the site photos. Use them only to determine your price, for example: A site with 30 amp power and water is $25 per night. A site with 20 amp power and water is $20 per night. A boondocking site (no power) is $15 per night. All sites have access to a porta-potty and water. Suggested local attraction: Blakeley State Historic Park is four miles away.

We keep the lounge area as clean as possible but at the end of the day it is an outdoor kitchen! Kitchenwares will have a layer of dust even if cleaned the day prior, so please give everything a rinse before you using! You may read about mosquitoes in some of our past reviews, but I am happy to share that we now have a monthly mosquito service in place that has mitigated that issue :) Learn more about this land: Our intention for this artist community is to bring like-minded people together and make the world a more beautiful place. It serves as our primary residence and also residence for seasonal workers&traveling artists when they come here. Dave is the perfect host and has a beautiful location. Sunsets are amazing every day. Easy pull through location and easy to hook up on flat ground. Dollar General is a mile away and it’s about a 15 minute trip to Walmart, grocery and fast food. I highly recommend Heart of the Country for anyone wanting a peaceful get away.

Nice lot in a residental neighborhood in Navarre close to Navarre Beach. James the host, was very nice and helpful. Made me feel welcome and safe. Was very easy to park and hook up my RV to a full set up. We had a nice 1 night stay that was quiet and comfortable with our dogs. No issues or problems. Will reserve again in the future for sure. This campground has way more to offer than they advertise. It is a diamond in the rough. It is ocean front with a pool and a hot tub. They have a clubhouse with daily activities and programs and we even had a bowl of chili one night. It is quaint and their are long term as well as short term renters there. The bath house is small but clean. There is even a family bath which is good if you have kids with you. There is a dog park and play ground. It has alot to offer.

We had a great stay at A&M retreat. Angelica met us and help guide us into their back yard. Our Mocha loved the huge back yard and freedom to explore. Very quiet neighborhood, but right off main roads to shopping and Perdido Key. We had convenient hook up for water and power. This location is a 15 minute e-bike ride to Big Lagoon State Park , truely a treasure. We were able to view the Blue Angels practicing maneuvers from a distance. Best kept secret though if you go an a short distance East to the Walmart or Target parking lots at 9:00 am the Blue Angels fly low right overhead!! What a treat. We plan on a return trip next spring and hope to stay at A&M retreat again.

Nice level site. Micki is a good resonsponsive host. Her confirmation was a little confusing but she clarified that we could choose either lot. Be level is expected in a relatively new resort. Laundry isn't mentioned but is available and sort of clean. People wash pet stuff, against the rules. Unexpected was the cushions of the outdoor furniture covered by spider webs at the sw clubhouse. Otherwise the wash rooms and showers were nice and clean. Found the dumpsters location odd and a lengthy walk. Heard say that they are fixing the pool heater. Also heard that it's been a long time since it worked as well as the main gate. We only stayed a couple nights so we felt secure but the gate really should be fixed. With that in mind, we'd likely stay again.

Heart of the Country is our home and also your own personal twelve acre state park whenever you stay with us! We are less than 15 minutes from Interstate 10 and from Interstate 65. I offer a half-dozen campsites, all either on a relatively level paved driveway or grass. Power (20 amp and 30 amp) and water is available. We have two 30 amp campsites, which are first come, first served. WIFI is available! (please ask for password). We have a portable toilet for your use. This is a Longleaf Pine sanctuary with lots of nature trails. This is also a hobby farm with livestock (Donkey, two Goats, a Duck and a flock of Chickens). I feed the livestock grain every morning usually between 8 and 9 am, and again hay before dusk. You are always welcome to join me and I'll introduce all of them to you! My dog, Homer, is our very friendly welcoming ambassador who will enthusiastically great you upon your arrival. I put him up in his kennel each evening around dusk, then lock him in his shed until morning which keeps him from backing during the night. We also host an AirBnB, so other guests may be here as well. Texting via the app is our preferred mode of communication. If you call, please leave a message if I can't answer, and I will call you back. We are slowly updating the site photos. Use them only to determine your price, for example: A site with 30 amp power and water is $25 per night. A site with 20 amp power and water is $20 per night. A boondocking site (no power) is $15 per night. All sites have access to a porta-potty and water. Suggested local attraction: Blakeley State Historic Park is four miles away.

This area includes a bar with rainwater catchment for washing hands/dishes, refrigerator, freezer, electric tea kettle, microwave, solar oven, complimentary coffee/tea station, 2 burner biogas stovetop with cooking equipment&utensils, games, aerial yoga silks, climbing wall, slackline, Iyengar yoga rope wall, trash/recycling, filtered alkaline drinking water and more! Feel free to use our laundry facilities, communal picnic basket, and complimentary condiments, seasonings, sauces, etc found in the door of the fridge. Attached to the lounge is our air conditioned ecobathroom with *hot* shower, bio toilet, and complimentary toiletries if you forget anything. A few notes on the property: Most people have never used an EcoToilet and don’t realize it takes some work. If you have children, you will very likely have to do this part for them. We keep the lounge area as clean as possible but at the end of the day it is an outdoor kitchen! Kitchenwares will have a layer of dust even if cleaned the day prior, so please give everything a rinse before you using! You may read about mosquitoes in some of our past reviews, but I am happy to share that we now have a monthly mosquito service in place that has mitigated that issue :) Learn more about this land: Our intention for this artist community is to bring like-minded people together and make the world a more beautiful place. It serves as our primary residence and also residence for seasonal workers&traveling artists when they come here. Every year we have the opportunity to employ about a dozen people to work with us during the tourist season, from March-October. Aside from our local employees, we also wanted to create a space that would allow for fellow travelers to join our crew.
