There we offer 2 full hookup sites and 3 dispersed sites with fire pits. Nearby there is a dump station, and next to that a restroom facility. We also offer laundry service.

Escape to a private campsite in rural Alabama. The property is surrounded by forest and wildlife. There are several places to hang a hammock and plenty of room for outdoor games like cornhole.
The city of Columbus is about 25 minutes away and offers white water rafting, zip lining, axe throwing, a river-walk, and other activities. There are plenty of lakes and rivers to go fishing. Auburn is about 40 mins away.
The site offers an outhouse, fire pit, fire pit grill rack for cooking, platform (which can be used for small/medium tents, or to hold a table and chairs) and a hiking trail that is about 1/3 of a mile.
Small cars are able to access campsite and park at site pretty easily.
The property also has natural wildlife like coyotes, snakes, spiders, ants, etc.. Alabama can also get very hot during June, July, August. Please prepare accordingly.
Meeting at the front of the property is not needed, just drive to your hipcamp and set up 🙂 Please message me about any concerns!
About us:
My wife and I bought this property in 2020 with the goal of turning this land into a homestead. We plan on building a home eventually and have cleared out our homesite. My mom and stepfather live at the front of the property and can help you if needed. My stepfather is retired and my mother works as a nurse assistant in town. It’s a nice country experience, I believe you will enjoy!

We are a working farm, located about 35 mins or 23 miles from Columbus. The drive is pleasant with very little traffic.
Our campsite sits beyond the gate in front of our small farm store. There are rustic bathrooms with hot water, free WiFi and plenty to do! We encourage you to hike, bike, and explore.
** We are in rattlesnake and copperhead season. Please be mindful hiking on warms days and evenings towards dusk. **
The store is not open at this time, and the Greenhouse is available by request.
Deer, coyotes, wild hogs, and other creatures roam freely. Any pets must stay fully leashed at all times (see below).
Our day starts early in the summer as we harvest for market. We make every effort to be very quiet, but the field crops are close to your camp site. We will never run a tractor until after 11am. You may hear the greenhouse fans kick on starting around 9am when the system starts warming up.
Pets - Are welcome if contained on a leash at all times.
Bathrooms - are located next to the store and a short walk from your tent site.
Site - Is on level ground for tents campers RV vans and more. There is a fire pit, picnic table and water spigot. The water is not well water and comes from the county main water line. There is a main highway leading up to our gate so you do not have to off road to get to the property.

The place was absolutely lovely, even though the campsite say $30 a night with the service fee from hipcamp it makes it $40 a night it was still doable,we stayed in campsite 5 and even though our tent was bigger than the wooden covered pad for putting your tent on it still had a great spot to put our larger tent up. We had pre-ordered firewood and it was stacked nicely buy the fire pit upon our arrival. We were there for relaxation but if you're going there expecting the wi-fi at camp 5 that's not going to happen but just driving up to the main office or the covered bench by the horse corral you got it if you needed it to check in with family. Next time I think I'll go to the campsite 4 which has the Wi-Fi constantly.
Unfortunately there were a lot of flies there but with a quick trip to the Dollar general we got fly strips and that maintained them from being our problem. It was cool at night being able to hear the farm animals and the rooster and just nature. We did get some rain during the day and one night, and having it covered tent pad became our outdoor patio and was able to enjoy the rainstorm and stay dry instead of in the tent.
Needless to say we had a wonderful time there and do plan on going back.....soon

Piney Hills Campground was the perfect place to kick off our road trip! We only stayed one night, but it was exactly what we needed, and I would absolutely stay here again if I'm ever back in the area.
The campground is tucked away in the peaceful countryside of Mauk, Georgia, and has such a charming, relaxing atmosphere. They offer a little bit of everything—primitive campsites, adorable yurts, RV sites, and more comfortable campsites like the one we stayed in.
We stayed at Site 3, which had a nice view of the main house and one of the horses. If you're looking for the best sunset views, I'd recommend requesting Site 4. It has a platform overlooking the small farm and is the perfect spot to enjoy the evening.
One thing people should know is that there is a train nearby, and you'll hear it every 15–30 minutes or so. Unless you're an extremely light sleeper who needs complete silence, I don't think it's an issue. It certainly didn't take away from our experience.
The bathhouse was clean, cute, and had hot showers. My only suggestion for improvement would be the motion-sensor lights—they turn off pretty quickly, so you'll find yourself waving your arms while you're in the shower or even sitting in the restroom to keep the lights on.
There's also a small camp store, which is a nice bonus. We arrived at 6:00 p.m. and left around 10:00 the next morning, so we didn't have a chance to explore everything, but our stay was peaceful, quiet, and very enjoyable.

Awesome site, and the facilities were great.!The host was very kind and helpful. We had a wasps nest above the platform and left a message for the host about the minor issues. She took no time at all and showed up to the site with wasp spray. Also gave us a little more information about the campground while we were waiting for the wasp spray to kick in.Will definitely be back again.

The level of preparation, cleanliness and organization was absolutely spectacular. I have never been camping at a site this clean and organized. The grill was immaculate; the toilet facilities were clean with spray and hand wipes; there was enough firewood to last a month.
If you like privacy, you will get it here. I heard nothing and saw nothing other than the birds in the wind, blowing the trees!.
The actual area where you will pitch, the tent is very large and open with plenty of shade.
I highly recommend this place to anybody who wants a quality, private experience in nature. Can’t wait to go back!

Great property. Great RV. Deer in the morning, kids chased grasshoppers for hours. We lucked out with rain, but when it did, plenty of games to keep us occupied. Outside has the corn hole and axe throw (plastic), pretty much all the bells and whistles for RV living. Interior was well put together and proximity to Calaway gardens, pine mtn, and FDR was hard to beat.

Although just a one-night stay, this was the perfect reset I needed. I booked space number five, which has a platform. Glad I did because the covering sheltered my tent from the rain. I think being elevated a little kept my tent base dry, too. (I did put a tarp down first and had my rain fly on.)
The campsites are nicely spaced for privacy. The bathhouse was very clean and the running, hot water was much appreciated.
I met some of the resident farm animals and they are so sweet.
At night, I listened to insects and birds and saw fireflies. My dog camped with me and he enjoyed the serenity of the visit.
I’ll definitely stay here again when I’m in the area.

I had a very relaxing time at Lisa and Jame’s Hipcamp. They greeted me when I arrived, and were very welcoming. I stayed at site #5 (which had a covered platform) which was very spacious. The bath house was very clean, and the shower nice and warm.
I have AT&T, and I didn’t get service at the site (which wasn’t important to me), but a quick walk to the bath house and I could get cell service and also connect to their WiFi.
Overall, a nice relaxing getaway to unplug!

The campsite when we got there was perfectly maintained. It was a very nice with plenty of privacy. At the same time you have people close enough in case of an emergency. The host is extremely responsive to messages and calls. The father and son that run the camp site are also very kind and helpful. I think with the outhouse this is like a perfect beginner friendly primitive camp site. Perfect place to start if you have younger children if you want to ease them into camping. Their is even a little trail that is perfect to walk with your family or just a small romantic walk in the woods with your partner.
