Come stay in our yurt and get the chance to meet our little herd of camels and wake up to the views of the gorgeous surroundings!  Travel down a few miles of dirt roads and you will find our little oasis of 35 acres.  The hard-sided yurt sits right next to the field where our camels and donkeys roam.  Set apart from the main house, sitting in Trujillo Canyon, and surrounded by BLM/National Forrest, its the perfect spot for recharging.  Our property is off the grid and allows you to disconnect for a little while and there is a nice creek to go and sit by.  Each stay also includes a farm tour if you are interested.  The night skies have little light pollution and are perfect for star gazing.  We can't wait for you to come and stay with us!

Great fun "meeting" camels and discovering they're friendly and like to be petted (the females at least), and that they're smart and come when Matt calls them by name. Yurt was roomy and homey, bed comfortable and quite warm. Fun seeing the stars and Milky Way at night.
To avoid tripping on the heat protective mat under the wood stove and falling toward the (hot?) stove, we suggest moving the mat back further so it doesn't catch on shoes.
We also wondered, but didn't have a chance to ask, whether the camels have or like toys. We wondered if they would play with a large, strong ball...?

Matt was waiting for us when we arrived. The directions he sent were excellent which is an important part of the visit.
The yurt was cozy and clean. The camels were a delight and Matt educated us about the history of the camel in the valley.
We enjoyed a beautiful night sky, quiet with only the Meadowlarks singing, views of mountains in the distance and the amazing clean, fresh air.

One of the best experiences!!
What a memorable stay and made extra special by Matt, he is a wonderful host. The tour of the farm was incredible and we had a great time getting to know Matt, understanding the history of the farm, and getting to meet all of the camels and other animals too.

The yurt is spacious and cozy and the bed was comfy.
We had the opportunity to have a fire the night of our stay and we were able to marvel at the vast and beautiful night sky; the stars were amazing!!

Getting to the yurt was not difficult, it was only somewhat challenging because we arrived at night but the directions provided prior to arriving were super helpful.

10/10!!
Will definitely look to stay here again in the future.

It was an extra special evening for us to stay at this yurt. Upon arrival, our host, Matt, gave us an extensive farm tour of the camels, donkeys, and birds they take care of on their farm. He was super knowledgeable about the animals and genuinely cares for their well being, as well as the land. We were feeling fortunate to learn about the role of camels in north america, and the healing properties provided by their milk. The camels are sooo sweet and fun to be around. There are a few friendly cats that greeted us, and Mr. T kept us company the whole time! Matt also brought us to their creek where we saw a huge beaver swimming and chilling! There’s a lovely wood burning stove inside the yurt for warmth, outside for a fire pit, and a grill outside. The yurt had all of the necessary amenities and then some. It was thoughtful and we would definitely recommend!

Unforgettable time on the farm thanks to Matt and his loving animals. Matt communicated well and provided everything needed to have a relaxing time. The camel soap is divine, took two bars home!
