My 2 friends and I are travel nurses in our 20s and we are always looking for the next adventure. Bonus points if there are animals involved. Camels and a Yurt was the perfect stay before we hit up the sand dunes the next day. The Yurt was adorable and the animals + farm tour was such a fun experience. Between the 3 of us we don’t have a ton of camping experience, and we weren’t very prepared anyway since we booked this site on a whim while we were already traveling, but the yurt had all the necessities for a great stay for the night. Matt was a great tour guide and Meghan’s camel fudge was to die for! The fresh farm eggs for breakfast were so fun too. And the mountain views were awesome! It’s the kind of place everyone should stay at once, we already can’t wait to go back!

Great little spot, super nice folks. Got a tour of the farm and got to meet Big Mama: she runs the show. She also makes some very cool camel's milk soap. Recommend, and thank you Matt and family!
This is our second visit and we love it. Matt and Meghan are great hosts and we love the animals and the quiet surroundings. We enjoy letting the cats in the yurt.
The yurt was clean and cozy and we were given clear and accurate directions to find it. Matt was very fun and knowledgeable and we loved meeting all the animals!
yurt is done very well. unique spot in this valley. sweet river. kind and friendly hosts who are on it! special and unique. only recommendations from us! and we will be back. thanks to megan and matt very much.
Matt our host was very very welcoming and nice and so was the yurt the views are great the night sky is beautiful and the peace and quiet like no other

I loved my stay at the yurt with Matt and Megan. It was the most unique stay with camels and donkeys and the most beautiful night star views! Would love to go back! Amazing hospitality!
If you’re looking for an experience like no other this is the spot for you!!
I was on a road trip and it made for the perfect first stop from Denver.
Located off the beaten path so amazing for star gazing but also close enough to the Sand Dunes for day adventures.
I had my dog Archie with me and he was most welcomed. The farm tour with Matt was absolutely fascinating. And oh did I mention you wake up right beside the camels? Amazing
The whole experience was great! We arrived around 4pm and Matt was still waiting ready to give us a tour of the farm. The camels and other animals were so cool to see and Matt's knowledge of all the animals made it that much better. The yurt was nice and warm despite temperatures dropping close to zero. It was a very fun experience with great hosts.
