This is one of the most incredible hipcamps we have ever stayed at! Flo is an absolute gem and we will definitely be back. These hosts thought of everything and created a lovely space- it has a comfortable, clean bed, stocked kitchen, solar shower and we have even had the company of the kind resident dogs in the morning. Book this!

I loved staying in this bus in such a quiet and beautiful area. Host is very relaxed and kind :) Cozy bed and resident dogs were the highlight! I came up in a rental Hyundai Elantra and made it through the road just fine.

We had a great time staying in Flo! It was a perfect tucked away area. We loved how quiet the area was. There is a small town near the bus that was fun to explore!

Everything was just as pictured. We had a wonderful and cozy stay despite the cold temperatures. Highly recommend Flo, but do be prepared, as mentioned, for the road to get to her.

Great studio with wonderful views and very accommodating hosts. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay in this secluded and peaceful environment. After two weeks of camping in the woods a hot shower, comfortable bed and access to electricity was more than welcomed.

Amazing views!! Road to the place is very rocky and has some steep climbs. I drove my Subaru outback and was fine. Anne Marie was great and everyone else that I bumped into which wasn’t often. Easy to keep to yourself if you want! Great if you’re looking for something a little bit off grid but still with the comfort of a shower and bed.

Flo the high desert bus is a gem. Super well appointed and well loved for a converted school bus, beautiful location with stunning views, very peaceful and lovely. Plus a comfy bed. This is my second time coming out to Flo for a little solo retreat to escape parenting. I will be back for sure. The road out here is laughably terrible, for sure, but I was fine in my Toyota Tacoma truck. I don’t think I would do this road in any kind of lower clearance city vehicle. Nevertheless, I highly recommend.

We had a wonderful time enjoying Flo, the gorgeous surroundings/property, and the nearby towns of Madrid and Cerillos. If you like a step up from camping and a little adventure, this is the ticket! Super memorable and fun trip!

What a delightful place to stay! We loved the comfortable layout and lovely textiles. The small kitchen had everything we needed. Being close to Sante Fe but on the outskirts worked well. Loved the stars and sunsets♡Wow

It is so accommodating and beautiful! The amenities were delightful, the bed was cozy, and the both stoves made sleeping there for the evening perfect! I would, without a doubt, stay there again!

Love this place! Everything is so well thought-out. Has everything you need and nothing you don’t. Made the drive a few years ago in a sedan, so it is possible, but I definitely felt better this time in my subaru.

I love staying here so much and will probably be back, as I am local. The location is amazing – spectacular views all around. The bus is well appointed, peaceful, and rustic. The bed was actually quite comfortable. The woodstove does an incredible job of heating the place, it actually got so warm I had to crack the windows and open the door. One improvement I would suggest is a station for washing the dishes outside since there is no sink inside the bus. But whatever, this place is lovely.

I absolutely loved my stay here! I had everything I needed and it was close enough to Santa Fe (plus an awesome drive) that I could easily do day trips and make it back in time for an evening walk in the wonderful New Mexico golden hour. Road is a little rough as described but I did fine in my CRV going slow. The property is quiet and peaceful, Anne Marie was helpful and responsive to my questions and I loved having their dogs and horses nearby. It was such a wonderful stay and I was sad to leave.

The studio is accurately described in the listing. It is a special place. The bed was comfortable. The animals were delightful. The sunsets were spectacular. I highly recommend this place for a short or long stay.

Anne-Marie and her family were so great! They welcomed us upon arrival, even as it rained! We walked into the Desert Moonshine and absolutely fell in love with the space. The rain didn’t last long and we were presented with horses outside our window and one of the most memorable pink sunsets. Truly a special place and one that sparked inspiration. My family and I will definitely be back and stay for longer to explore this beautiful place.

Flo Bus was absolutely wonderful! It was secluded but peaceful, it wasn’t hard to find either if you follow the host’s instruction. The amenity inside the bus was great! It had everything I needed to make a simple meal. The fairy light inside was a really nice touch. Ross was a great host too, super friendly and helpful! I am definitely coming back for next time when I visit Santa Fe.

I loved staying here. It was very peaceful. Hosts were kind and communicative. It is a beautiful space in a beautiful location. Internet was reliable when I needed it, and it was nice to be off the grid in a dog friendly place otherwise. The road was a little rough for a toyota corolla, but I did fine taking my time and going slow.

Great experience off grid, authentic straw bale and composting toilet with running water in bathroom and usable kitchenette. Owner left some healthy snacks for us and her dogs Ama and Buddy busted our dog and they were very cute together. Road to accomodations was fine for our Subaru, maybe not for a Prius. Owner has great taste in furniture and textiles.

The High Desert Moonshine Studio
Great place. There's other homes nearby and the studio is connected to the main house, but you feel solitude. The host was very friendly and introduced herself. Wish we could have stayed another night!
