It was really great staying in their little cabin, wish we could have stayed longer! Such accommodating and respectful hosts. I’ll definitely be back.

We had a delightful stay at the Kimball family farm. Our host was wonderful! The place was so peaceful. The weather in mid October couldn’t have been more perfect! The cabin is full of potted plants. Highly recommend the wine tasting! 20 minute drive to UCDavis which was the purpose of our travels. Will stay again.

We were able to make the experience into what we were craving, but felt that the host was unprepared for us.
We were disappointed by the cabin. The "bed" was a futon with lumpy cushions that segmented in the middle. No sheets, blankets or pillows were provided.
Luckily, the host's daughter (we never met the host) kindly offered to bring out some bedding for us. But the pillows had no cases and the blankets didn't seem to be freshly laundered.
We wanted to cook using the propane stove, but the tank was empty. Again, the host's daughter saved us by retrieving a full tank.
The toilet is flush, but set into an outhouse environment with no lights.
I would not recommend spending money on the cabin unless they significantly upgrade the amenities or reduce the price. Not worth $150.
All this said, we did enjoy the remote environment, free firewood, fire pit, dog friends, chickens and pond with ducks.

There is a small group of cows that graze behind the cabin, cute chickens, and a very friendly and sweet dog. If you like animals this is the place for you. Hosts were friendly and the cabin had an AC unit.

We had a great time camping at Kimball farm! There were both a grill and a stove, plus a firepit, which made cooking super easy. Our group of 11 stayed comfortably with both tents and a cabin. We got to see horses and ducks, and the restroom was clean and flushable a big plus! There were also friendly and smart dogs on the property. If your kids love animals, this is a perfect spot for them. Highly recommend!

My daughter and I had a great time camping at Kimball Farm! She saw her first shooting star, and played fetch with the doggies and watched the ducks in the pond.

My small group of adults and kids had a great time at this beautiful space. We set up two tents on the lawn, which is adjacent to the cooking and seating/firepit areas. The cabin (with air conditioning!) is a few steps away and up a slight incline. We didn't sleep inside, but it was great to have a place to store items like our coolers and to literally chill out in the heat of the day. There were some ants inside, but if your food things are sealed/enclosed, that shouldn't be a problem. We also brought a shade canopy, which came in handy so we could spend more time outdoors comfortably, including using the provided grill and camp stove in the hot summer daytime sun! The pond was lovely, and there were two dogs who came and visited us often-- the owner's dog Sarah along with his daughter's dog Nala. We loved that, though I appreciated the offer to keep them away in case anyone was not comfortable with dogs. Lots of animal sounds at night and early morning (ducks, frogs, rooster, distant dog barks) , so if that is an issue for you, take note. Really appreciated the flush toilets, outdoor shower and a bathroom sink, along with a spigot with drinkable well water. We also saw two black widow spiders, but we didn't bother them so they didn't bother us. Overall we loved our stay and would definitely come back!

Wonderful property. Woke up to roosters and a tiny bunny poking their head near our tent. We had a fun and generous tasting in the cellar the night before with George. There was a pool table in the barn he let us use but we were having too much fun around the fire - It's great that fires are allowed. Plenty of potable water and and plenty of wood to last 24 hours if you order the bundle, no worries there. I felt very comfortable on this property and would come again.

Kimball farm was a great get away for us! The cabin was clean and slept 3 adults, 1 child and 1 dog comfortably. The outdoor area was everything we could ever want, bbq, stove top, picnic table, prep table, seating and fire pit. The additional grassy area and being next to the pond where we could watch the ducks and listen to the toads was the cherry on top! George and his wife were great hosts, showing us around and letting my 3 year old help with the chicken feed. Sara was an absolute sweetie pie and kept us company often. This was the perfect getaway for a normally noisy weekend with all the fireworks.

Beautiful and peaceful, easy to access spacious camp site. Lush natural surroundings. Very dog friendly. Shady protection from the sun in the afternoon. Lovely pond with lots of natural wildlife.

Perfectly peaceful spot in farm land area. I was camping in my Hillbilly Truck Camper. Miss Susan, along with super cool stick chasing dog Sara greeted me upon arrival. Then, Mr George came by and invited to tour his underground wine cellar. We sampled wine and I learned all about his wine making process — very cool! I even bought couple bottles, I really appreciated their hospitality, it was a JOY to be there, and I hope to return again.

Our kids had a blast at Kimball Farm! Our family of four (two adults, two kids) stayed at their new cabin. The cabin is beautifully crafted and is conditioned with ceilings fans and a heater/AC. This made our stay very comfortable and not limited by the weather. We are looking forward to visiting at other seasons of the year too.
Our kids long the chickens, baby ducks, pond, toads, and lizards on the property. They also loved the outdoor shower. The hot water and plumbed toilets were a treat we don’t usually encounter while camping.
The site is surrounded by California’s beautiful rolling hills. Spectacular views of the sunset. Town is 15 minutes away in case you forget something. You can find Yolo and Capay Valley wineries within a short drive.
Host George and Susan are kind and attentive. Their dogs Sarah is a gentle dog. Our girls loved playing catch with her.

Cabin on a family farm.
This our second visit and enjoyed our stay as even more, the wind velocity early in the morning reminded us to break down the tent earlier than usual. Sara the dog was our tent guard/sentry.
Looking forward to many more stays, George is cool and helpful as usual, this little farm is now our quick quiet getaway from home and the suburbs.

Amazingly beautiful, peacefully quiet, friendly host. It is a small working farm, expect roosters, ducks, dog, and cows mooing in the distance. Outdoor shower, flushing toilets. You are welcomed to walk all around the property.
There is water and electrical.

George was great & responsive. Property is beautiful & amenities were just what I needed. Close to Davis, but in a beautiful, calm country setting. The family dog is the sweetest & the birds talking & in the morning was just so lovely. Definitely recommend.

Cabin on a family farm.
Just what the doctor ordered, a quiet retreat close to home, my son and I enjoyed watching the camp fire with Sara, George was a gracious host, planning a return soon, next time with a bbq.

It's a pretty cool spot. George is a great host. You get a legit living on the farm feeling. I stayed in the teepee, which had an electrical outlet but I chose not to use it. In the winters it does get cold in the teepee, so please be prepared.
Other than that, there an adjoining pasture that I was able to go to, read a book and watch the cows graze around me. There is a toilet and open shower on the property. I was able to do the wine tasting with George for about $15 which is great bang for the buck. I bought two bottles of the wine he made himself.
Overall, I had a pleasant stay. Please keep in mind that this is a small farm and they have farm like amenities. It's much better than campground but not a hotel. So plan your trip accordingly.
Bonus point. George has an amazing weinermarner farm dog "Sarah" who will constantly give you and your dog company. She is absolutely adorable.

Loved the site and would recommend it to anyone who wants to park by a quaint pond with adorable ducks and an undisturbed view of acres of farm fields. George was prompt at responding to my texts and the site was easy to find. Far enough from I5 to not hear it but close enough to get there quickly. He has 2 farm dogs that were very friendly which we loved but may not be for non dog lovers. I’m sure he would have put them in the house had it been a problem for us.

Overall the farm was beautiful & the views were lovely. The host was friendly & welcoming. It looks like they may be building a new structure next to the teepee, but the teepee itself could use a bit of TLC.

George was a very kind and helpful host. Unfortunately though we left feeling like we had way overplayed for the space he offers. I was on a 2 week long trip and this was the most expensive site we stayed at (most expensive hip camp I’ve ever stayed at for that matter).
The electricity is definitely not 30 amps. I wouldn’t even call it a 20amp since we just had phones plugged in at night and we lost power. This was frustrating because a big reason we booked 30 amps was to run AC during the heat of the day.
There was dog poop all over the site. And some have said how great the dog is to have around, I found it a bit overwhelming that there were 2 dogs who wanted to hang out from the moment we stepped outside the RV. It made it hard to take our dog out to use the restroom. Don’t get me wrong they were very nice dogs but some space would be nice. I did ask for the dogs to be called in while we ate dinner outside and George quickly helped bring them in which was great. I totally get it’s these dogs space but just something to keep in mind if looking to book.
As far as the toilets, like others have said it was nice to have toilets but they were like flushable outhouses. Didn’t use the outdoor shower but seemed nice to be able to shower under the stars.
I could see how this would be a great fit for some but just not for us.

A very private site. The dog, Sara is super friendly and very cute. There’s a large pond with lots of ducks. Very pretty.
A couple of reasons why we won’t stay here again:
1. We stayed one night and when we got home the following day we both noticed that we had been bitten up pretty good. Not sure what got us but we are definitely dealing with the bites;
2. The restroom is essentially an outhouse with plumbing. No lighting. One of the restrooms had a dead mouse on the floor. Lots of cobwebs. The shower is also gross. Again no lighting and tons of cobwebs.
