Lowkey want to keep this place a secret. ITS SO GOOD. Falling asleep beside the river, host offered fire for the pit, waking up ~with the animals~, hot private shower?! Highly recommend these friendly folk. We can’t wait to come back.

Our stay in the cabin at Longhorn Ranch was exactly the peaceful country getaway we were hoping for. The property has beautiful views, longhorn cattle grazing nearby, and a relaxing setting. The Trask River access is just a short walk from the cabin, and spending time by the river was one of the highlights of our stay. At night, the wide-open sky and stars were unreal.
Bob and Carmen were wonderful hosts, and their two sweet dogs were always happy to see us. Bob even built us a crackling fire while we were down by the river, which made coming back to the cabin feel extra special.
The cabin was clean and cozy, and the bed was incredibly comfortable. The propane BBQ made cooking easy, and we loved the vintage-style cooler inside for keeping our food and drinks cold. The battery-operated candles gave the cabin a warm glow, and the covered porch with its picnic table and string lights was perfect for playing cribbage after dark. There are two separate rustic bathhouses, each with a pit toilet and outdoor shower. Both were clean and had plenty of hot water. One tip: pack a small lantern. The cabin’s indoor lighting is very soft.
If you’re looking for a quiet place to unplug, enjoy nature, and experience a little slice of the Oregon countryside, we’d definitely recommend staying here. It feels peaceful and secluded, yet it’s about 10 minutes from downtown Tillamook and about 20 minutes from rockhounding at Oceanside Beach.

Very quiet and beautiful surroundings and have an access to river that one can fish. It was easy to camp with our dog. Our host, Carmen is a very warm, and friendly person. We loved chatting with her.

We arrived to a freshly mowed site which had a fire ring, comfortable bench chairs, and 2 picnic tables and river frontage. It was a treat to see the long horns up close. We appreciated being able to get water for showers. Our WiFi worked and for $10 you can get firewood .

We loved their property! Our campsite was right on the trash river. Very private, clean and quiet. There is a field with Texas Longhorn cows. They are so beautiful!
Bob and Carmen are very passionate about their acreage and cattle.

Landed here after a long day driving. Carmen greeted us and promptly lit the campfire for us.
Thoughtful layout of camp design with hot shower setup. Peaceful stay and it worked great for my husband who is in a manual wheelchair…just attached a freewheel extension on the front and able to navigate the terrain. We will be back on future road trips…perfect balance of host support and privacy. Enjoyed watching the entire hay bale process completed by a very efficient team…thanks for sharing your beautiful space with us!

We had a great tent camping stay at Rob and Carmen’s! The property is beautiful and having access to go hang by the river was awesome. The cows came over to say hi, which was fun, and Rob and Carmen were super friendly and caring. We would definitely like to return!

This is our second visit to Robert and Carmen’s property. Sites are well set up in between the Trask and their Longhorn cattle pasture. A perfect place to camp, away from the big camp grounds.

Beautiful stay on the river and right next to the cows! The cabin stayed warm enough without needing to turn on the heat as the weather was perfect. Bathroom and shower were both good and clean. Enjoyed a fire before bed as well! The cows were very curious about my dog 😆

Such a beautiful piece of land right next to the Trask river. The cabin was warm and cozy when we arrived, and Carmen was so kind to leave firewood for us in the campfire! We had a wonderful time here, and are leaving full of gratitude for the hosts, the cabin, and the land itself.

Beautiful and peaceful property. The cabin stayed warm and felt safe. Bring your own light source if you want to stay up past sundown. The lantern provided only worked for about a minute at a time. Thank you!
