Glenview Heights is a 54-acre property located in Glenview, Sunshine Coast. The property is surrounded by State Forest and offers some great bush walks and mountain bike trails. Great place to come and enjoy nature whilst still close to local shops, beaches and cafes. As the name suggests, the property is on a hill in Glenview Sunshine Coast, we have some flat areas perfect for camping or caravan set-ups with some spectacular views out over the Sunshine Coast and local bush land which you may see some local kangaroos or spot the local black cockatoos, and stunning views of the stars on clear nights. Dog and children friendly. Campfires permitted in a designated area when restrictions aren't in place. No toilets or potable water available - please bring your own. Access to the property is via a gravel road. Due to the condition of the driveway, an SUV or 4WD vehicle is most suitable to access the property.

The Heights campsites are perched on the terraced hillside of the 54 acre property with spectacular views out over the Sunshine Coast. the sites are at either end of the of the hillside, each provided with a fire pit. please note that these sites are subject to noise from the Bruce highway, but with the many hipcampers that have stayed with us it has never really been an issue. All sites are dog/pet friendly. Campfires are permitted in a designated area when restrictions aren't in place. Guests are required to be fully self sufficient with their own toilet/shower facilities and must take all waste and rubbish with them on departure. There are plenty of tracks to explore, some leading down to the dam or into the neighbouring State Forest; there is an abundance of native wildlife to capture on camera, or bring your mountain bike to take advantage of the many trails in the surrounding areas.  The property provides easy access to Ewen Maddock Dam for a bit of fishing, bushwalking, or a coffee from the local coffee van. Or, if you have the need for speed, The Big Kart Track is just around the corner! Access to the property is via a gravel road. We take a 2WD up there but we recommend having a vehicle with good clearance or 4WD. This area is more designated for tents/pop up campers and camper vans as there is limited flat surfaces where you would require to be creative with leveling for bigger RVs.

'Amongst The Gumtrees' - this site is only available for regular campers. Please make an inquiry prior to booking. Thank you Surrounded by some amazing native trees, this space attracts the many native birds of the area and many other forms of wildlife. A sloping hill on entry to the sites provides a space for the kids or furry friends to run around, all leading down to one of the smaller dams on the property (not suitable for swimming unfortunately). This area is suited for those with caravans and/or camper trailer setups. Guests are required to be fully self sufficient with their own toilet/shower facilities and must take all waste and rubbish with them on departure. It's the perfect spot to fold out, unwind around the fire (unless fire ban is on), or play some outdoor games. There is an undercover area where you can setup to cook, with a table and a small table with 2 chairs provided for use in area.

We had a wonderful stay at The Hill’s Stoney Creek Camp, such a beautiful property. It was exceptionally well maintained, peaceful, and the perfect place to relax and unwind. The quiet surroundings made it easy to switch off and enjoy nature. One thing we really appreciated was having our own private campsite. While we don’t mind shared camping areas, having our own space made the stay feel even more relaxing, especially with our dogs, who could settle in comfortably. There was firewood available to purchase, which was perfect for keeping warm on the chilly winter evenings, and fresh avocados were also available for sale while we were there. The property is close to a lovely waterhole, which would be fantastic to enjoy in the warmer months (a little too cold for a swim in winter!). Overall, it was a peaceful and enjoyable getaway. We highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a quiet place to unwind, and we would happily stay here again.

Pete and Andrea were so hospitable and friendly. They personally saw to it that we found our campsite and were comfortable and happy. We felt they were there if we needed anything but they also let us be. It was lovely and private and they even allowed our parents to visit. Thank you for a fantastic stay Pete and Andrea🙏🏼😎

As a regular stayer, I work a lot up on the coast. Pete and Andrea are great hosts and maintain the sites keeping them tip top! Couldn't recommend this place any higher. The Roo's grazing are a perfect addition, the views and the greenery all make this property an amazing place to stay! Well done guys 🍻

Gumtrees site 2 was perfect for us. The solitude was great, the area felt remote even tho the house was out of our sight behind us. We loved cooking over a wood fire at dusk. The 3 resident maggie's were friendly and entertaining. We will definitely be back!

An amazing place to get away from it all. It's quite a drive (25 mins) to drive into the property so I'd plan to just stay while there. So I recommend you take in everything you need! Lots of beautiful trees and some lovely views to walk to.. The hosts were lovely, and I really enjoyed my communications with them.

Pete and Andrea are lovely and very helpful. The location is central for visiting Beerwah/Maleny/Caloundra. I stayed one night to rest up. Price was perfect. More road noise than I expected for being surrounded by the bush. But a great stay all the same.

Absolutely stunning views. Really lovely owners came and made sure I was all good and if needed anything. Pretty new campsite and they have plenty of plans for the future. Really big pitches and free campfires just need logs. Although one of the people staying there came and gave me loads for free. As I say really nice people. Going to book another night just for the sake of being here

Unfortunately not what was expected, dont mean to sound like a hipcamp grump but camp sites are average at best. As for the host I can not complain as they helped with guiding our van in and were very welcoming. Definetly require a 4x4 especially with a van.

Pete and Andrea are the new caretakers of this potentially great property and are the most caring and attentive people you could wish to meet and deserve recognition for their excellent communication, hospitality and utmost friendliness. They went above and beyond to assist in every way to ensure that I enjoyed a most pleasant stay. The property is well worth a visit but currently requires a LOT of TLC. Right now its very run down and has obviously seen better days. . However … watch this space as Pete and Andrea have exciting plans to optimise the fabulous potential of the property and transform it into a “must visit” camping hideaway. To the owners, my recommendations are to action as a priority the following: 1/ Get rid of the FUN MOUNTAIN name!!! It is not a fun mountain and this redicilous name gives the impression that it’s a theme park. This is definitely not the case and needs to be renamed to reflect the wonderful natural environment amongst nature surrounded by National parks and forest. 2/ Get rid of the trash, disued vehicles, farm equipment, delapidated structures and old entertaining kitchen etc. This will also hopefully get rid of the many ghosts that clearly still reside :) In summary, I’d highly recommend that this campsite be bookmarked as well worth a visit as the many trails, walks and areas around the dam are spectacular and once the random pieces of old rusted furniture, glass bottles and sunken canoes are cleared it will be amazing !!!!

A top spot close to town. We were there a few weeks after cyclone Alfred and the ground was pretty soggy. Camp managers were friendly and helpful.

The spot is nice but with limited usable flat ground and even less ground that is usable for tents. It is a secluded spot though and other than some distant travel noise, it’s very peaceful The communication for the booking was a bit stressful with unanswered texts and phone calls due to communication challenges on their side so that was a stressful start to the weekend. The bonus was that it was remote so there were no children during school holidays
