There are three compost toilets on site and 2 potable water wash stations. Playground close to communal fire pit and compost toilets. Visit our 5 friendly llamas and don't forget to get your selfie! Hike, bike or visit the beach at Pigeon Lake provincial park just 10 minutes north of here. Or visit Battle Lake, only 7 minutes south of the property where you can enjoy boating, paddle boarding, kayaking, swimming & fishing. Free day-use boat launch at Battle Lake Park. The secret Sanctuary is an ideal setting for a peaceful retreat into nature. The land is well cared for with plenty of trees and space to provide privacy.
It was a beautiful area to be out in. It was peaceful and nice to be in nature. We loved the lamas and the host was amazing with communication and answering any questions. Definitely a gem of a spot and will definitely be coming back in the future!
The area, the energy, and host, the lamas...fantastic! The camp areas are spacious and surrounded by mature beautiful trees, and the outhouse was clean and well maintained. Denika was welcoming and friendly and quick to respond on the app. It was our first Hipcamp experience and we will definitely visit her place again!

What a peaceful and beautiful setting. The quiet pace of the nearby Llamas adds to the ambiance. I was looking for the perfect place to recharge and found it. I will be back again soon!
It was one of the most spectacular campgrounds i have stayed at for a lot of years. Beautiful views, nice natural open clearings perfect for pets to run around and play in. Close enough to town incase you need to pop in for something you forgot, but just far enough away that you don't get any traffic noise to ruin the calming serenity you are surrounded by. The hosts are very friendly and accommodating, which is just as important as the campground itself. Will definitely be returning for future adventures and I would highly recommend it to anyone that has never been to pay it a visit.

We loved our stay at the Secret Sanctuary. ❤️ Denika and her family have done an amazing job creating private spots to nestle in the trees while still enjoying the full beauty of their property. Very tidy and well maintained! Host was responsive and welcoming. Easy to communicate with and gave us privacy while we were there. A definitely gem to enjoy. We highly recommend checking it out.

The property is lovely, lots of space to enjoy our time and such a peaceful setting. The lamas are fun! Denika, her family and pup were all so welcoming. We will likely return for more camping in the future :)

I will never forget my stay here! Oh boy where to start... Nick and Denika were so kind and accommodating, and gave us great direction and suggestions from the moment we got here. Though at the same time they gave us enough space for us to do our own thing and enjoy our trip amongst ourselves. Their animals were so cute and we got to spend a lot of time around them, and it was really cool getting to know the Llamas. The area was so well kept and beautiful, we will definitely be back.
The Secret Sanctuary was amazing! Makes you feel you are one with nature. It’s s nice to breathe fresh air and hear the trees dancing leaves. I never thought there would be such place close to Edmonton. The owner is very accommodating and very nice lady as well her family. It was such a good experience and we will definitely recommend going there. We had such an amazing time.
