Fantastic Stay with a Great Host! Barbara was such a welcoming host, and the overall atmosphere of the campsite was wonderful and relaxing. Having the sauna available was an amazing bonus, and you can’t beat the location—just a 4-minute drive from Twin Lake. We had a great time and would definitely come back!

We had a wonderful stay at Hidden Spring Retreat! The property is beautiful, peaceful, and a great place to relax and enjoy some time in nature. Everything was well kept, and we really enjoyed the experience. Barbara was super nice, welcoming, and helpful throughout our stay. She made us feel very comfortable and was always happy to help. And of course, Fox, her puppy, was such a highlight! He is incredibly friendly and sweet. 🐶❤️ We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend Hidden Spring Retreat to anyone looking for a peaceful getaway. We’d love to come back again!

We had a wonderful weekend stay at Hidden Springs, and it exceeded our expectations in every way. The property is peaceful, beautifully maintained, and the perfect place to relax and unwind while still offering plenty of activities for the whole family. Barbara is an exceptional host who truly goes above and beyond to make her guests feel welcome. She thought of every little detail to ensure we had a comfortable stay. When the mosquitoes became active in the evening, she proactively provided mosquito coils, and knowing we wanted to watch the World Cup, she even offered us her personal laptop so we wouldn’t miss the match. Her kindness, generosity, and genuine care for her guests made our stay even more memorable. A special mention goes to her friendly dog, Fox, who quickly became a favorite with our kids. Fox spent time playing with them, and they absolutely loved every moment. The trampoline was another huge hit, keeping the kids entertained for hours. One of the highlights of our stay was the sauna experience. It was incredibly relaxing and the perfect way to end the day. If you’re planning to stay at Hidden Springs, I highly recommend booking the sauna—it is absolutely worth it and adds a special touch to the overall experience. We left Hidden Springs feeling refreshed and already talking about coming back. Thank you, Barbara, for your outstanding hospitality and for creating such a warm, welcoming place for families to enjoy. We highly recommend Hidden Springs.

My boyfriend and I had a very last minute booking but Barb was very kind and accommodating. We were lucky enough to have the whole space to ourselves well except for Barb’s dog, Fox, who is just the most affectionate and behaved companion out there. I would recommend booking the sauna it was very relaxing and for 2hrs it is quite worth the price, Barb even offered to let us shower in her house after if we wanted. The beds were very comfortable and provided plenty of warmth during the night. Overall it is a great site to book with lots of field and plenty of things to do.

Barb, the Host, made us feel so very welcome. We felt a real connection to her, even though we did not interact overly much. Fox, one of her dogs, will make you feel even more welcome. So well behaved and mildly loving. Our nights were 0 to -2 Celsius, yet the blankets and tent were wildly cozy and secure. I wouldn’t hesitate to go back. A few things to know. Make sure you bring everything you need to get by. We were the first visitors of the year, so I suspect there may be some great to have amenities in later weeks. Ensure you bring a stove, all food you need, and so on. Barb provides firewood and it’s incredibly dry and burns wonderfully. So that all good. Be forewarned that there is no shower (but she welcomed us to shower in her home) or running water (again, she had that on hand I’d needed), and it can get damned cold (cannot overstate how warm and comfy the beds were and slept like a baby in the cold) but a blessing in the warmth of the bedding. Very reasonable pricing. I encourage you to give it a go. We definitely will visit Barb again, even if to just say hi because she is that kinda person.

A whimsical retreat that its like stepping inside of a storybook. The simple ambience coaxed your soul to ponder that nature delights is endearing. We choose to stay next to the meadow in a tent. Our stay was short but sweet. But planning to get back soon.

Barbara's place was a lovely escape out of the city. I really enjoyed the peacefulness of listening to the wind in the trees, the woodpeckers, the loons, and all of the other wildlife. Plus the sauna was a lovely addition to the stay. Barbara was very welcoming and attentive throughout. Thank you Barbara!!

We had a lovely stay at Hidden Springs! We decided to get away last minute, and are so glad we were able to snag a spot in one of the bell tents. The property is beautiful, the hosts are wonderful, the dog was friendly, and the times were good! The property is quite close to Pigeon Lake if you’d like a day at the beach. We also stopped by the Winfield Family Restaurant, which has excellent diner food. Thanks so much for hosting us, Barbara!

Barbara's land offers a peaceful retreat surrounded by stunning natural beauty and a serene atmosphere. Charming chalet with a spacious deck overlooking a serene pond. Bright, clean interior with a well-stocked kitchen. Fantastic outdoor space perfect for barbecues and campfires. The kids had a blast on the trampoline. Fox is the sweetest, most friendly dog we’ve ever met. Fox remained calm and gentle, even with our feisty puppy around. Loved the Finnish sauna.

Great camping experience

Located — surrounded by nature, peaceful, and just far enough from the hustle and bustle to really disconnect and relax. The camp tent was well-maintained, with spacious, lplenty of privacy between sites. Tent beds were super comfortable, We loved waking up to the sounds of birds. There was easy access to clean water stations, and lots fire wood for fire pits for evening campfires — which made the experience super comfortable. Camp owner Barrara was so kind and helpful. There are 2 beautiful dogs in the camp named Fox and Kitt. Fox was an extraordinary dog I've ever known. Fox will welcome every guest of the camp, this dog was very smart.

I stayed in my van on Barbara’s property. It was so peaceful and beautiful. I thoroughly enjoyed having a sauna and jumping in the spring fed pond! Barbara was very welcoming (as were her two doggies) and accommodating in every way. I will be back soon!! Thank you!
