In the 1900's this area was known to be the "Buffalo Creek" wide open grazing area for the roaming bison.
With the mature Willows and Rocky vegetation is all left for us to enjoy You could see roaming moose hanging around! and plenty of deer.

My location is perfect for your stay, because, we are four blocks from Downtown Driggs and 8 miles from Victor.
We have three individual electric hook ups including on each a 50 Amp, 30 Amp and 20 Amp and one water bib, at this time we do not have any dump station.
We are secluded and surrounded with mature willows trees and we expect the yearly spring water run off from Teton reek
You are five blocks from 5th street bus stop for transportation to Grand Targhee Ski Resort the famous snow pack 500 inches of powder! this property is off 1st street from Ski Hill road and the most unique quiet location for being so close to the center of Driggs.
We are walking distance to grocery store, post office, City building information and many restaurants to choose from. 90 miles to Yellowstone NP, and one hour from Jackson WY.
You can call this your base camp for many adventures, hiking, fishing, down hill skiing and much more seasonal activities at a year around location.
This is your endless experience and everlasting memories.
Please Clean up after your pets and there are strict rules regarding pets on leash ordinance in City of Driggs.

The Shoshone and Nez Perce Native American tribes spent their summers in this area hunting and fishing the many streams in this valley. Trapper's used the area until the U.S. market collapse of the beaver skin top-hat in the late 1830's. Mormon pioneers began settling here in the 1890's. My great-grandparents settled in Teton Valley after moving from Nebraska in 1917. They farmed this land; growing potatoes, barley and hay. Today we raise alfalfa/grass hay that we feed to our horses. In the bottom of our field south of the campsite is Trail Creek, which is the headwaters of the Teton River. It flows out of the southern Teton mountain range in Wyoming and into Idaho. This water eventually joins the mighty Snake River near Rexburg, Idaho as it continues it's journey to the pacific ocean. Summer's here are usually warm sunny days with cool, chilly nights. Granite Creek Ranch is a 4th generation working cattle and horse ranch established in 1921 operated by the same family for over a century. Meadows, crop fields and forested mountains cover the ranch. 230 pairs of cows and two dozen horses call it home along with herds of Elk, Mule and Whitetail Deer, Moose, Coyotes, Redtail Hawks, Bald Eagles, Cranes and many other bird species. Ranch covers over 4,000 acres and the campsites have a couple hundred acres of hiking to enjoy. My family really enjoys the ranching and country life and want to be able to share it with others!

Located near the Shoshone National Forrest, our RV sites have a beautiful view of the mountains. Our grass Rv sites have Electric pedestals and Water hookups. Wifi at campsite. We are near warm springs creek and mountain lakes for fishing opportunities. Hundreds of areas to hike. This small mountain area has a restaurant/bar nearby also. Ride the hundreds of miles of ORV trails (ATV, UTV, dirtbike). Porta-Potty onsite, as well as one weekly black tank service.
Tent, van, or campers welcome. We are bordering the Shoshone National Forrest with amazing views. Our sites are as close to federal land as you can get, with electric and water hook ups. Each spot is on grass, and near our rental shop for UTV rentals and small general store. Gasoline sold nearby.
We DO NOT have showers on-site.

Jackson Lake, the largest lake in the Teton range, measures nearly 15 miles in length. This natural lake expanded significantly after being dammed in the early 1900s. While the western shore is only reachable by boat, the eastern shore can be accessed from Signal Mountain and Colter Bay. Jackson Lake is a popular spot for fishing, swimming, and boating, with seasonal marinas at both Colter Bay and Signal Mountain offering boat rentals.
Jenny Lake, a glacial lake approximately 12,000 years old, features a scenic 7.6-mile loop trail. A seasonal shuttle service provides a picturesque ride across the lake, dropping visitors near Hidden Falls and Inspiration Point, making it a must-see for nature lovers.

What an awesome spot! Joy is a phenomenal host—communicative, welcoming, and has great energy. A little rain and cloud did little to dampen the experience, which was highlighted by a nice long sweat in the sauna (a MUST) and a brief but invigorating dip in the cold plunge. Shoutout to a couple of friendly four legged friends, who I also had the great fortune to meet. While I didn’t get to experience the epic sunrise over the Tetons due to an early departure, this was easily remedied by a quick journey back over the pass to the national park (another must!). This was my first, but certainly not my last stay!!

We arrived late but Derek provided directions to the local store via text and met us at the gate. Helped to find some small firewood and lent an axe.
Next morning woke to a really peaceful site where the owners have done a great job of making a great site - communal area with games, nice lighting and the best shower we’ve seen after weeks on the road.
Well worth a visit.

Alicia’s spot was perfect. We arrived pretty late as we were driving from across the state, and left in the middle of the night as well one night for some photo stuff. She didn’t mind either time, and the entire spot was so quiet and peaceful. It was close to their house, but the trees and how it was setup still gave us plenty of privacy through the duration of our stay and it was exactly as advertised

Wonderful site with wonderful hosts. My partner and I stayed here 2 nights at Site 1. We were greeted by our host, Terri. She was amazing to talk with! She directed us to the spot we’d be staying at. It was a pull through spot, and it was a level spot. All of the spots are very cared/maintained. Good spaces in between sites. Although we didn’t use many of the amenities, there was cornhole, volleyball courts and other things to enjoy at the campground. The hosts and the campground exceeded our expectations, and we would definitely come back and stay to explore more of the surroundings area.

The location is beautiful. The ride up union pass is a well maintained dirt road, we got in late and had to drive it in the dark (would not recommend if you can avoid) but the road was wide enough to manage opposite direction vehicles. The spot was easy to find and get set up, the front to back leveling was a little step but side to side was good. Spot #2 still has line and neutral crossed so you'll need to use power from spot #1.

Had a lot of fun during our stay. It is a very beautiful area and the most dog friendly camp we have been to. Our dogs were able to play off leash in the field with all the local dogs. Was able to do a UTV rental out of season with just a couple days notice before our arrival. Tim had tons of trail recommendations and was a lot of fun to talk with.

I loved this cozy cabin!! It had everything my dog and I needed to get a good night’s rest before we set off for our hike. Instructions to check in were very simple and it was easy to find even though I got there pretty late at night. Would definitely stay here again.

Amazing opportunity-you simply could not ask for more hospitable hosts. They're incredibly kind and went out of their way to make sure I was comfortable. And my last night there, they even threw a small bonfire for all the guests to join and share their travel adventures (which I very much appreciated since I was traveling solo). The views were incredible of course, between the starry night sky, the surrounding hills and the nearby national parks. But I think the people are what made this stay one to remember. I cannot recommend this opportunity enough.

Directions were easy to follow. There was about 5 miles or so of unpaved road up the mountain to the sites. The sites were all lined up, kind of close to each other. There was also the rental shop and a restaurant/bar in the same area. We didn’t try the restaurant but it was open. There was a really big field across the road that we were able to let the doggos run free, off leash.

Allan, one of the campground hosts, met us as we arrived and provided information on the site amenities and features. They included free showers, washer and dryer on site, a recreation hall/lodge, fire pits and table at all sites, and both pull through and back in sites with plenty of space. It is away from the highway so it is quiet, a great sunset and sunrise and fantastic star gazing. The swans were flying and singing to us. I would definitely stay there again.

About
Often visited in tandem with neighboring Yellowstone National Park, Wyoming’s Grand Teton National Park protects the Teton Mountain Range and its surrounding flora and fauna. Measuring some 310,000 acres, the park is significantly smaller than Yellowstone but no less impressive, offering mountain views and the chance to see all sorts of wildlife. Popular summertime activities include hiking, boating, trout fishing, mountaineering, and backpacking, while winter is ideal for snowshoeing and cross-country skiing. Most campgrounds are only open during the relatively short snow-free season, but backcountry sites are available even in the coldest winter months.
Notable campgrounds
- Great for quick trips: Conveniently located right by Signal Mountain Lodge, Signal Mountain Campground offers quick and easy access to facilities and attractions.
- Great for wildlife viewing: Quiet Lizard Creek Campground offers 60 sites on the northern end of Jackson Lake, but not a lot of bells and whistles, which makes it popular with quiet-seekers who don’t need electric hookups.
- Great for families: On the banks of Jackson Lake, Colter Bay Campground has plenty of creature comforts, including a laundromat, showers, and a grocery store.
Tips for snagging a campsite
- Campsites can be booked up to six months in advance on the National Park Service (NPS) website. Reservations open at 7am Pacific time.
- If planning to camp on a weekend or in summertime, it’s wise to book as far in advance as possible.
- If you can't secure a spot in Grand Teton, you’ll have better luck with a private Hipcamp or another nearby park—options include the John D. Rockefeller Memorial Parkway, the Bridger-Teton National Forest, and Yellowstone.
When to go
Grand Teton National Park is a summer destination, with highs in the upper 70s in July and August. September weather is warm with fewer crowds, but arriving any later than that puts you at risk of cold temperatures and snow. Large portions of the park, including major summits and the areas around the Snake and Buffalo Fork rivers) close from December through March or April due to seasonal weather conditions.
Know before you go
- Cell phone service varies in the park and its surrounds, so make sure to download offline maps before you set out.
- Grand Teton is bear country, with both the black and the grizzly varieties calling this park home. For everyone's safety, lock up all food, garbage, toiletries, and cookware in a bear box.
- All the visitor centers and many of the ranger programs are wheelchair-accessible, and there are partially accessible restrooms at both Jenny Lake and Colter Bay campgrounds.
