This ground finally has its own address but not till 2016 In the 1900's this area was known to be the "Buffalo Creek" wide open grazing area for the roaming bison. We are secluded and surrounded with mature willows trees and we expect the yearly spring water run off from Teton reek You are five blocks from 5th street bus stop for transportation to Grand Targhee Ski Resort the famous snow pack 500 inches of powder! this property is off 1st street from Ski Hill road and the most unique quiet location for being so close to the center of Driggs.  We are walking distance to grocery store, post office, City building information and many restaurants to choose from. 90 miles to Yellowstone NP, and one hour from Jackson WY. You can call this your base camp for many adventures, hiking, fishing, down hill skiing and much more seasonal activities at a year around location. This is your endless experience and everlasting memories. Please Clean up after your pets and there are strict rules regarding pets on leash ordinance in City of Driggs. Camp on the outer perimeter of no generator loop

I've camped at Gros Ventre in September 2024 and July 2025. On both visits I camped in the generator free loop on the outer perimeter of the loop (To have no neighbors "behind" my site, just wide open views!) I'd recommend you try to do the same, the sites on the inside of loops are less private with neighbors on all sides. Most sites have quite a bit of tree cover, expect spotty Starlink connection and solar input. On cell service, I experienced the occasional 1 bar on Google Fi (T-Mobile) which allowed sending of a few texts, but not much else. On both visits I experienced a ton of very late arrivals and very early departures from fellow national park travelers looking to beat the crowds. Expect a lot of road noise of people coming and going throughout the night. During the day, the campground clears out and is a very peaceful retreat from the crowds. Overall I would recommend this spot for folks visiting Jackson, Grand Teton, or making their way to/from Yellowstone.

The Fabulous Grand Tetons

The Grand Tetons were absolutely stunning! We camped at Gros Ventre and Lizard Creek. It was great to see the south and north sections of the park. We saw moose right behind our campsite at Gros Ventre! We loved being on the lake and had a view from our site- 35 at Lizard Creek! Breathtaking sunsets!

The hidden gem of exploring the Teton area. Initially, we were disappointed and turned off by the crowds pushing to get one of the first-come-first-served spots in the National Park, even though we got an early start. I'm glad we continued driving. This spot still provided views of the peaks, but without the insane amount of other humans. It was quiet, peaceful, and we could set up tents in an open field away from everyone else. I also loved its proximity to Jackson Hole; we got to explore the quaint little town one day, and hike around Jenny Lake the next!

This has been our go-to campground since I was a kid. plenty of sites close together but not on top of each other. Flushing bathrooms, no showers. Walk down the road toward town and you usually see moose. Walk the other direction and seeing bison is guaranteed. awesome views.
