You can’t help but be a little jealous of the Brennand Family. They’ve woken up amid this stunning, stonewall-lined landscape for no fewer than three generations. And while the world thumps on with mobile phones, computers and fingertip gadgetry, the views here are as timeless as they’ve ever been. In fact, while the farm may border one designated area of natural beauty – the Forest of Bowland AONB – it’s less than two miles to the nearest national park, too. So whether you’re a walker, mountain biker or simply want some snaps of the scenery, the choices are pretty endless.

Perched in a private area of the Brennand's dairy farm, away from the tractors and working yard - are five insulated, cedar-clad pods. Each of our luxury pods has its own private hot tub tucked beneath a handcrafted wooden shelter - perfect for soaking under the stars in any weather. Three of the pods feature ensuite shower rooms for added convenience, while two offer their own private bathrooms just a few steps away, giving you space and seclusion with a touch of adventure. Every pod includes a well-equipped kitchenette, a cozy fire pit on the patio for starlit evenings, and a cocoon swing seat for lazy mornings or sunset views. Whether you're after a fully ensuite stay or happy to wander a few steps to your private bathroom, there's a perfect pod waiting for you.

It’s more like compact, self-catered living than camping when you’re cocooned away inside your pod, especially if it’s raining outside and you’ve got dinner simmering on the hob. But once you fling open the double-glazed doors, you feel very much a part of the great outdoors. Logs are provided for your fire pit, so you can toast marshmallows on the terrace as the sun sets over the Yorkshire hills, but very often guests head for The Hub. This covered communal area is very much the heart of the place with games to play and an enviable outdoor kitchen featuring a wood-fired oven to cook fresh pizzas and a Weber barbecue. It’s an excellent spot to socialise and offers some of the best views on site.

Walkers, cyclists and mountain bikers are the most obvious folk to capitalise on the area, so it’s no surprise that the Brennands have provided every pod with a boot box and offer a power hose and wall racks for bike maintenance. Spin a few miles west to Gisburn Forest for award-winning mountain biking trails or simply stride out on the footpath from the farm. It’s all on your pod-step, which ever direction you choose.

Corn Bents with covered hot tub
We had a wonderful few days at Peaks and Pods and came home feeling relaxed and recharged. Its a beautiful site with wonderful views across the Dales. The pod was charming, comfortable and clean, John and Jo had thought of everything we would need and provided lots of really helpful information about the site and places to go nearby. The Hub provides all the extra facilities you need as well as places to sit, cook and socialise - we really enjoyed making our own wood fired pizzas one night. We couldn’t recommend this lovely place enough and will definitely be going back as soon as we can.

Perfect Peaceful Pod!!
Corn Bents with covered hot tub
Fantastic location with spectacular views & so peaceful. Our Pod (Corn Bents) & hot-tub was perfect in every way - faultless. Even a mix of weather could not ruin the mood! The Hub is a fantastic extra communal space and I loved relaxing in the swinging chair. In rain and sunshine! Lovely long walk into Settle too & highly recommend a BBQ with the local Hellifield beef! Can only recommend 💯%!! Plus very easy check in and very responsive and helpful hosts.

Corn Bents with covered hot tub
Corn Bents pod has breathtaking views of North Yorkshire. With an ever changing vista there is no need to go anywhere else although there are lots of exciting places to explore nearby. The pod was extremely well equipped and communications were excellent. I will be back!!

We stayed in The Folds pod, and it was perfect! It has everything you need for an enjoyable stay - comfy bed and sitting area, amazing covered outdoor seating area with lovely views over the rolling fields and hills. The little touches like the 'welcome cake' and the free wood for the first fire topped it off (great lemon drizzle!) . The Hub area is amazing too with pizza oven and seating area, would be ideal with a group of friends or family. Not far from loads of great trails for running, walking, biking etc, and nice villages. Would 100% recommend Peaks & Pods!

Family Fun
The Folds with covered hot tub
Great location, fabulous Pods which were kitted out with everything needed for our stay . Very peaceful and relaxing, our group had 3 Pods and everyone had a fabulous time , children loved the animals . The Hub was a great success as we hired the Pizza oven and had great fun making and baking our own pizzas . The hot tubs were a massive success for everyone after our 8 mile walk 😊 . Would highly recommend them to anyone . Well done to you both you have made an amazing area .

We stayed at Peaks and Pods over half term and it was excellent. We stayed in The Fold. Really nice Pod with beautiful views and everything you need for a fantastic break. Would definitely recommend!

Buckhaw Brow with covered hot tub
These pods are just absolutely beautiful! The detail is second to none, and very cosy. The views are incredible, and so peaceful. The communal area is great to meet other people or cook in a different way ( pizza oven or bbq ). We shall definitely be revisiting and have had lots of friends ask for the location so they can stay!

Holly Bush Hill with hot tub
Myself and husband booked for a long weekend to celebrate my birthday. We stayed in Holly Bush Hill pod! Absolutely amazing place, absolutely every eventually catered for. It's basically home from home. We went expecting the pod to be cold, so packed our own quilt, dressing gowns, slippers etc. But we didn't need any of them as the pod was amazing warm. We paid for the extra package which included chocolates, proseco, bacon, eggs, sausage, tomatoes, pastries, cereal, fresh orange, bread, butter and even a homemade lemon drizzle cake which was delicious 😋. The central hub also catered for all your needs. Somewhere to sit & chat, whilst using the hot chocolate station, marsh mallows and chocolate fingers too. I would definitely recommend peaks & pods to everyone. It's no surprise that they have a 5 star rating!

The Folds with covered hot tub
Booked a 4 night stay at Peaks and Pods in the pod called The Folds, and it was everything we were looking for and more. Location was peaceful and picturesque (even with the typical British weather!). The pod was immaculately presented on arrival and had all of the necessities needed for the stay and lots of useful information on things to do in the area. The owners Joanne and John were very welcoming and always on hand if you needed anything. We will be going back here again and maybe next time we will book one of the pods with the hot tub!

First, but not last, visit. The attention to detail in our pod was amazing with everything provided adding to the pleasure of our stay. Well equipped throughout from the kitchen area to the shower area (The Fold Pod) and the very welcoming bed at the end of the day. An evening BBQ followed by a cozy fire pit on the patio and star gazing - what a wonderful way to unwind. Did I mention the lemon cake waiting for us on arrival? Yum! A simple drive to Settle and surrounding areas - thoroughly recommended base to explore the local countryside. We will be back.

This was my first visit to peaks and pods , what can I say that hasn’t already been said Views are amazing, location quiet , ( you wouldn’t know there was a farm nearby) just the sounds of curlews and visiting chickens ( if you leave your door open) The pods are extremely well equipped and to a very high standard , bed was so comfy . Lemon cake and Yorkshire tea what a welcome treat. Visited Malam tarn, Janet foss, gordale scar , gisburn forest , Bolton abbey , ingleborough caves , had 2 great meals at the Craven Arms . Although their were two heavy thunderstorms, it didn’t spoil my visit to Yorkshire , it’s a beautiful place Thank you for a great 4 days …

The Folds with covered hot tub
Me and my boyfriend have just sadly come home from our stay in The Folds pod and we can’t fault the experience. We’ve had the most amazing time. The location was brilliant and very central (in our 2 night stay we visited the sights of Malham, climber Pen-y-Ghent and visited Giggleswick). We could tell that every detail of the pod was to the greatest degree of luxury and that the owners had gone the extra mile to make our stay that little bit more advantageous. Our lemon drizzle cake on arrival was scrumptious and was met with a Yorkshire brew in hand while sat on the decking enjoying the spectacular views from our pod!! We simply cannot fault our stay in Settle and would love to return very soon. Thank you- Faye and Rhys :)

Two Acre Bit with covered hot tub
We had the best weekend away at peaks and pods. The facilities were amazing, comfortable beds, fully equiped kitchen with fridge freezer, stove and private bathroom and shower rooms. The location was so picturesque, with uninterrupted views of 3 peaks. There was a central hub area where you could hire a wood fired pizza oven or just sit on a swing chair and admire the views. We would love to visit again.

We booked this on a whim in need of another view post-lockdown and we were so happy we did. The surroundings were peaceful and perfect, the pod was beautiful; everything needed was there and the hosts were warm, friendly and ready to help if anything was needed. I would 100% recommend this place and would book again.

Me and my partner spent the weekend here for our anniversary and as we arrived it truly took our breath away. The pods are spotlessly clean and the surrounding area is absolutely beautiful. Words honestly can not describe this place it is really peaceful, myself and my partner can not wait to come back with our children to visit again. Holly Bush Hill with hot tub
We stayed Mon - Fri, and it was excellent. Obviously the great weather helped, but the pod itself and the entire setup they have created is fantastic, I could not recommend staying here highly enough. Our pod was a gold top, so had the toilet and shower in the pod itself, and our terrace had a private hot tub for just our use. It was amazing to come back from a day walking or exploring and sinking into the hot tub for a little while whilst watching the night draw in. The bed was really comfy, the kitchen ideal for a little cooking, and the sofa ideal to snuggle on in the evening after spending time in the hot tub and the terrace with the fire pit blazing away and munching on toasted marshmallows. The two chickens roaming the pods were comical too. The location is great, it's a 10min drive to get to the main A road then away you go, there is so much to explore in this area, and it genuinely is stunning. We took in so much, and could easily come back for another week and take in so much more (I'd recommend Malham for some nice walks; Malham Cove and Tarn, Janet's Foss and Gordale Scar, plus head out to see Ribblehead Viaduct which is so impressive, then head further East to Hawes for a stunning little village, and the drive there is really nice). We paid extra for the luxury package, so a bottle of fizz and chocolates and cake welcomed us to the pod, and the breakfast hamper was full of good quality food (sausages, bacon, eggs, bread etc), plus the fairy lights around the pod that made it look so cute. The site itself is so quiet, it's absolutely ideal for a really relaxing break, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay, both chilling out at the pod, and taking in various towns and villages for wandering and also taking in a few good walks. Overall, this place is great, if you're considering booking then do it, you will not regret it!

I have just returned from a week at Peak and Pods and it was amazing. The POD was clean and tidy - the bed was comfortable and the bedding was good quality (Joules!). The furniture was robust and of good quality too. The bathroom was outside of the pod, but it was like stepping into your ensuite at home and the towels were super soft. The views were spectacular and Joanne and John were very friendly. The HUB was a special outdoor place where you could socialise with other holiday makers - I booked the wood fired oven twice and had great fun - the first time I cooked a beef stew (it was very windy and raining hard, but the hub stayed dry and I put on the patio heaters). The second time I made pizza from scratch - I nearly gave up and bought one, as I didn't have scales to measure the flour, or a rolling pin or mixing bowl - but I got very creative and I had such fun. I also cooked an orange cake which was scrummy. There was plenty of communication prior to my visit and I loved the PDF telling me exactly what to expect at Peaks and Pods and what to do and where to go on my holiday. Joanne even sent me information about the wood fired stove. There was plenty to do, especially if you like walking. I recommend a walk around Stocks Reservoir (roughly 7 miles); Ingleton Waterfalls (4 miles - entrance fee - but great value for money); Train ride to Appleby from Settle - you go over the Ribblehead Viaduct and a walk round Malham Cove/Goredale Scar (go early as it is popular and we had to park at the top of the hill) Peaks and Pods was more than a base - it was also an adventure and added so much to the holiday.

Me and my boyfriend when to peaks and poda for 4 night and it’s was so lovely. Getting there was easy and we were welcomed by home had brownies in our pods. We also did the pizza over it’s was love would definitely recommend doing that! Over all we had that best time!!

Excellent! I booked this (Corn bents) for my husbands surprise birthday and I did not want to leave after my stay. It’s the first time went on a glamping trip but definitely coming back to peak and pods! Joanne is an amazing host, I was regularly in touch with her before my stay and during. She guided me of how to plan things. I got the luxury pack- which didn’t include buntings and balloon but Joanne kindly added those. She met our veg/halal diettry requirements. The pod was really cute, and clean, very well maintained. The hot tub was amazing! Really close to nice trekking sites. Joanne also made a very yummy lemon drizzle cake for us! Overall it was much much better than I thought it’d be! Joanne John are lovely! Will definitely be coming again. The pot was really nice and warm for the snowy weather !

Such an amazing stay with beautiful scenery! Very clean and cosy and has everything you need and a little more! The hot tub couldn’t have been more relaxing, especially after a hike. Joanne and John were both lovely as well as the little chickens that came to visit us in the morning 🐔❤️ Overall an amazing, relaxing and comfortable stay.

Wonderful welcome on arrival. The pods are clean and equipped with everything that you need. Remote and quite so very relaxing whilst still within easy driving distance to great walks and attractions. We loved it so much we went back the week after and will go again. Oh and the chickens are adorable and funny 🐓

Holly Bush Hill with hot tub
Enjoyed 2 nights at Holly Bush Hill with my daughter as part of her 18th celebrations. A perfect little retreat. We arrived to a lovely toastier hot tub and a freshly baked lemon drizzle cake! We didn’t want to leave. The hosts were so helpful and friendly and have clearly put a lot of work into creating and maintaining this lovely getaway.

We had a lovely time staying in The Folds. Everything was well thought out and the space was utilised to its maximum potential. The site is beautifully landscaped, the views towards the Dales are magical and having the chickens pecking about made us feel like we were part of the farm and the countryside. The quality of the items both in and out of the pods was very high and Joanne was on hand to answer questions very promptly.

You can’t help but feel a touch of envy for the Brennand family, who’ve called this breathtaking, stonewall-framed landscape home for three generations. Nestled beside the Forest of Bowland AONB and just two miles from the nearest national park, their dairy farm offers timeless views and boundless outdoor adventure — whether you're hiking, biking, or simply soaking in the scenery. Tucked away in a quiet corner of the working farm are five cedar-clad, insulated luxury pods, each with its own private hot tub under a handcrafted wooden shelter — perfect for stargazing year-round. Three pods feature ensuite shower rooms, while two offer private bathrooms just a short stroll away, blending seclusion with a dash of adventure. Inside, you'll find a well-equipped kitchenette, a cosy cocoon swing for morning coffee or sunset views, and a fire pit with logs provided for marshmallow-toasting evenings. These pods feel more like compact, self-catered retreats than traditional camping — especially when it's raining and dinner's simmering on the hob. But throw open the double-glazed doors, and you're immersed in nature. Guests often gather at The Hub, a sociable, covered space with games, a wood-fired pizza oven, and a Weber BBQ — all with sweeping views of the Yorkshire hills. Walkers, cyclists, and mountain bikers will find everything they need, from boot boxes in every pod to a power hose and bike wall racks. With Gisburn Forest’s award-winning trails just west and footpaths starting right at your pod’s doorstep, the adventure starts as soon as you step outside.

It's just five miles to Gisburn Forest, a Mecca for mountain bikers, perfect for an adrenaline-packed ride or a family-friendly pedal. Most trails start from Gisburn Forest Hub (01200 446747) with car park, toilets, picnic area and café. While you're there, a walk round the beautiful reservoir is a must. Excellent local market towns include Settle, Clitheroe, Skipton and Kirkby Lonsdale – all only a short journey away. Hop aboard a waggon on the Settle-Carlisle Railway (01729 825888) – England's most scenic train line is the claim – or take on the famous walking routes around Malham Cove and Tarn, where you can hop across the unique limestone rocks like a bug on giant puzzle pieces. The most hardy walkers can take on the Yorkshire Three Peaks (in a day) – Whernside, Ingleborough and Penyghent – enjoying Ribblehead Viaduct en route (a worthy landmark to walk to in itself).

They're both four miles away by the main roads and The Plough's just a couple of miles away along a gated country lane. It's four miles by road, just off the A65 before Settle.The Golden Lion (01729 822203), just five miles from Peaks and Pods, is also popular with our guests. There's a wide range of cafes, pubs, restaurants and takeaways in Settle. Our Welcome Pack includes lots of details about places to eat and drink.
