We have a mid wild pitch on the outskirts of the woods, lovely grassed area between trees. Our top field is perfect for motorhomes & caravans. Plenty of space to breath and relax. Located on the stunning heathlands of the Sutton Heath. We are surrounded by beautiful woodland walks, including the Sandlings walk and just 10 minutes from the river Deben. We have a bus stop at the top of the track and Melton train station is a 20 minute walk or 5 minute drive. There are access points onto public footpaths, leading to Rendlesham Forest. A famous site for UFOs! Sutton Hoo is a stone's throw away. Bring your bikes and explore the area on wheels. There is water access and portaloos. We do not have showers yet. Blue/grey waste must be taken away. LEAVE NO TRACE

This is a working, Soil Association–certified organic farm where much of the food you’ll eat is grown metres from where you’ll sleep. Solar-powered, borehole-fed, and surrounded by pasture and wildlife, it’s a place to slow down, cook together, watch the sunset over 12-mile views and wake to birdsong. Stay in one of our 5m bell tents (one with a double bed, one with a double + single) or our cosy shepherd’s hut, all thoughtfully scattered across the meadow for space and privacy. We also offer the whole site as a private campsite for up to 30 guests — perfect for gatherings, celebrations and retreats. At the heart of the site is our beautiful barn with a wood-fired pizza oven, long dining tables, hot water, fridges and freezers, crockery and plenty of space to feast. Cook for yourselves or let us make pizzas (or something special) for you. Breakfast and seasonal produce boxes from our market garden are also available. There’s a wildlife pond, fire pits and barbecues, a beer keg tap, and a sound system (with a gentle 11pm curfew for amplified music). Compost toilets and a heated rustic outdoor shower keep things comfortable but close to nature. Charging sockets are available in the barn. Well-behaved dogs are welcome (just not in the sheep field). We’re a short stroll from Gosbeck Wood (a Triple SSSI woodland), 15 minutes from the market town of Debenham, 20 minutes from Woodbridge, and around 45 minutes from the beautiful Suffolk coast. Coddenham community shop is a 5-minute drive (or a lovely hour’s walk). Helmingham Hall and its stunning walled garden are just down the road. Come for dark skies, long tables, wood-fired evenings and food grown from the soil beneath your feet.

We are a pop-up site at a Norfolk working farm just outside the Broads National Park. BeWILDerwood Norfolk is just a 10 minute drive away and we are 15 minutes from the coast. We are home to a microbrewery with a taproom on site. A pop-up campsite with a microbrewery on site? Sounds like a fine setup, right? Well, that’s what you’ll get at The Farm Camping! This is a handy location for all sorts of activities, including walking or boating around the Broads, hitting the beaches of the north coast or spending time fishing, horse riding or cycling. The nearest pub is a 10 minute walk away – but you won’t have to go that far if you don’t want to, as the farm is home to the Wildcraft Brewery, which has a taproom in one of the traditional red-brick barns (and picnic tables outside for an alfresco drink on a sunny day). As a pop-up site the facilities here are fairly simple, but you’ll have access to toilets, showers, a washing-up area and a wifi connection, and you’re welcome to bring a barbecue for your meals. If it’s a ‘proper’ Suffolk wild-camping adventure you’re after, have a look at Lions Row, a spacious back‑to‑basics site on a working farm just outside Ufford. It’s completely surrounded by countryside, but only a handy five minutes’ drive (or a 35 walk) from the pubs, takeaways and shops in Wickham Market. You can park at the pitches, which are mown into the long grass. It’s a clever spot for families as it’s a mile from the nearest road, making it quiet and safe for kids to roam freely without any danger from traffic. As this is wild camping, facilities are minimal: drinking water, a simple washing-up sink, compost loos and basic gas-heated outdoor showers are your lot. However, you’ll wake up to birdsong every morning and go to sleep by starlight on clear nights; just remember to bring torches and batteries for after-dark wanderings. The views are peaceful and rural, and the field is bordered by deciduous woodland – great for exercising any four-legged pals – criss-crossed with footpaths leading to country pubs (there are four within half an hour’s walk). It’s also close to heritage attractions such as Sutton Hoo (10 minutes’ drive). If you would like to book multiple pitches for a big group, do get in touch directly if easier. Best part was how quiet it was on a bank holiday weekend as its a huge site so everyone can spread out. Will definitely be back. Very friendly welcome and provided firewood and checked in that everything was ok.

Excellent site with plenty of space, facilities are also excellent and clean. Its a great place to stay and use as a base if visiting Norfolk, within easy reach of superstores and A47. However, the White House Farm Village shops were not open on Sunday and Monday on a Bank Holiday weekend, this didnt affect our stay but was a bit of a disappointment. Overall a good site and would definitely use again.

I wanted a nice peaceful site that was easily accessible (the farm track to the field was a bit bumpy but my Zafira was ok) plenty of space and I got just that, there was a small wood behind me with plenty of free wood to burn, the toilets for a camp site were amazing cleaner than a lot of hotels I have stayed in, would I recommend this site definitely, would I stay here again definitely. The host met me at the house and was very pleasant and the burgers were great too, top notch.

We stayed as a family of 5, the 3 kids had a lot of fun in the woods and the open site with space to run aroud without getting near other campers.. Being set in the countryside next to a working farm, we were surrounded by some amazing nature and walks. Very peaceful with stunning views.. The facility's are exactly as I'd hope for with a wild campsite, functional clean and not over the top.. Definitely return in the future to unwind.. Also the hosts were very attentive and helpful..

Had a great stay here. Found a great spot deep in the tall, pine tree woods. There were a few other people here, but still felt like I had the place to myself. Was warmly welcomed by Joe on arrival. A super sound guy who explained the lowdown, and looked like he's go out of his way to help out with something you may need or may have forgotten. All in all, a great spot... in a great spot. Had a great reset during my stay. I was clinging onto 1 bar of a 4G signal (3network) for my stay. Just the right amount for being connected. Highly recommended

A lovely, quiet, basic site. Has all the necessities like flushing toilets and hot showers, but not much else. Fire pits with cooking grills free to use, seasoned firewood available to purchase. 2 minute walk to farm shop for fresh meat and veg, or supermarket 5 mins drive up the road. Plenty of space to set up, no restrictions on pitches, just a general expectation of being courteous to other campers. Grass cut to a good level, ground mostly flat. Would definitely return. Great value site.

Sadly the weather was shocking for our trip and there were only another couple of campers so after battling with our set-up in high winds after enjoying a fabulous coffee and cake in the farm shop cafe in arrival (beautiful shop and cafe) - we finally were about to have a brew outdoors and take in the lovely orchards that became our view. Sadly the winds kept getting stronger and as the sun was going down we made the decision not to stay as the winds were only going to get stronger. Also lack of other campers and morale to keep us going we left and headed home. Nice facilities, toilets were clean and washing/cleaning set up looks good and loved the area that held the fridge and charging points. Just a shame the UK weather let us down - for our very first camping trip.

As the gateway town between Ipswich and the Suffolk Coast, Woodbridge’s many campsites offer a convenient base for Suffolk exploration. Besides easy access to both the coast and city, visitors can also explore nature trails along the River Deben, the Sutton Hoo Anglo-Saxon burial site, and Rendlesham Forest, making this a top spot for families and independent Hipcampers.

Aldeburgh

Experience quintessential British camping at a holiday park right on the coast, with award-winning fish and chip shops and Blue Flag beaches nearby. The town roughly marks the middle of the Suffolk Coast Path, making it a great departure point for journeys north—toward RSPB Minsmere Nature Reserve—or south, towards Orford Ness National Nature Reserve.

The Tendring Coast

Down at the tip of Essex’s Sunshine Coast, the Stour Estuary is a relatively recent addition to the Suffolk Coast and Heaths AONB. Coastal campsites near Clacton-on-Sea, Walton-on-the-Naze, and Harwich offer easy access to the AONB, plus other outdoor attractions, such as Hamford Water Reserve and Mersea Island.

Southwold

Another Hipcamper’s paradise, this charming coastal town is best-known for its secluded campsites, sandy beaches, and strong seaside heritage. Cradled by the River Blythe, North Sea, and Buss Marshes, hikers and bikers have plenty of different landscapes to explore.

Lowestoft

At the northern border of the AONB, camping near Lowestoft affords easy access to the coastal highlights of both Norfolk and Suffolk. Inland, you’ll find riverside campsites and the gateway to The Broads canal network, while caravan-friendly holiday parks dominate the rural coastline. Don’t miss the sunrise at England’s most easterly point, Lowestoft Ness.
