And the rest is all Mother nature! There is no running water or drinking water. You will need to bring your own. No electricity points or WIFI are in the campsite and no masts nearby so enjoy the EMF cleanse. Whether you chose to stay in the ancient woodland or the herbal pasture, you will feel the benefits of reconnecting with yourself in nature, breathing the clean air and hearing the birds singing. Very wet weather and winter – please note in the off-season, and if very wet, the camping field is closed to vehicles, replaced instead by semi-hardstanding areas or our summer car-park area. I spent a peaceful weekend here relaxing with my dog and a campfire. The directions are clear and there is plenty of space. It has the basics and does them well, an eco composting toilet and hot shower both well-maintained and clean. There is an airfield nearby and an occassional biplane, spitfire and air balloon went overhead. Something upset the Big Cats in the nearby sanctuary one night and there was lots of roaring , a cut above the usual wildlife noises 😆.

Stunning woods and what amounts to what legal wild camping could feel like. Jon is such a lovely host. So friendly and accommodating. The composting toilet was well maintained which meant it didn’t smell like some campsites I’ve been to. It is a working farm so do message or call ahead to let Jon know your arrival times etc. it helps him to make the arrival more smooth.

Brilliant secluded spot, so quiet you'd forget there's a nursery right behind. Footpaths lead straight from the site into Ditchling, where there are some lovely pubs. Facilities are basic, but that's perfect as long as you know what you're getting into. Great value for the price, fantastic host. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

We had a lovely night at the far and away campsite, there is a lot of space and the amenities were great. A hot shower is always nice when on the road :) Jayne was also super friendly! We really enjoyed the vineyard visit she proposed!
