Beautiful camping spot in the Black Mountains. Loved the separate pitches in the meadow, with plenty of space for the kids to run around. The swing and the stream were a hit for the kids, and lovely walks from the campsite. The facilities were basic, but fine for our needs and perfectly clean. Thank you for sharing your lovely farm.

Weekend Trip to Pentwyn Dingle and Lodge Field Camp

We stayed on the Pentwyn Dingle site and it was just gorgeous next to the brook. You rock up, call Martin to let him know you are there and then pitch up wherever you fancy (as long as you are past the water station). We had a very peaceful night’s sleep until our dogs woke us at 5am! There are two pubs within 30 mins walk of the site, mostly on quiet country lanes so easy enough with dogs in tow. We will definitely be returning.

So many other campsites would have crammed in extra pitches, but there were a max of 6 pitches in a whole field. We had a fantastic time and will definitely be back. Well done - you are exactly the sort of site that "coolcamping", when it started, was all about - off the beaten track, unspoilt and run by genuine, lovely people. J&S.

Great location with all the essentials covered. Clean toilets and showers, lots of electric hook up pitches and nice pubs within walking distance. What more could you need?!

Such a great site! Nestled on the mountainside, very natural setting, fire pits and special flat areas for vans. Host was so very welcoming and friendly. Exactly what I'd hoped to find. The walks directly from camp were stunning, lots of different routes to choose from. For families there were self-guided nature activities on site too. Will definitely be going back!

We had a brilliant weekend at Fourwinds Campsite in March, PE15. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with a warm and friendly welcome. The site is well-maintained, peaceful, and has a lovely, relaxed atmosphere—perfect for unwinding and enjoying nature. A special shoutout goes to Andy, the site warden, who was incredibly helpful and welcoming throughout our stay. He went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed, and his local knowledge and friendly nature really added a personal touch to the experience. The pitches were spacious and well laid out, with plenty of room for our tent and gear. Facilities were spotless and regularly cleaned, with excellent showers and toilets. It’s clear the owners take great pride in the site, and it really shows. One of the highlights for us was the beautiful setting—surrounded by open countryside and just a short walk from the river. It’s a great spot for families, couples, or anyone looking for a quiet escape. The location is also ideal for exploring the Fens and nearby attractions. We’ll definitely be coming back. Highly recommended if you’re looking for a relaxing and enjoyable camping experience in Cambridgeshire!

A another perfect stay. Went to Four Winds last year for the Easter weekend. And again this year. Both years the weather has been a challenge. But the warm welcome, fantastic service, and amazing facilities make up for any rainy weather. Had pizza on Friday night, highly recommend you do the same. Please visit Four Winds, you will not regret your stay.

We loved camping here! Pridie was super friendly and very informative about her land and surroundings. She took the time to chat with us and made us feel very welcomed. The Land is beautiful and can’t wait to come again the summer.

Such a lovely site. Very tranquil. We biked along the river into town which takes around 15 minutes. The facilities are clean and the kiosk/shop is a real bonus. The private launch straight onto the river was amazing for paddleboarding. We can't wait to come back.

We are a family run farm situated in the beautiful Frome valley. The farm has a range of interests from the traditional Jersey milking cows to a community of workshops used by local craftsmen. Ours is a small family run camp site with the River Frome on one side, next to the medieval buildings of Stowford Farm. The river is suitable for fishing, boating, swimming and paddling. What a little Derbyshire gem: back to basics Whitehouse Farm Campsite is a simple site in a most scenic setting five minutes’ drive from the pretty village of Tideswell. The site’s central location in the Peak District National Park means it’s a top spot for those who want to ramble or ride bikes – several circular trails leave from Tideswell and the traffic-free Monsal Trail is a five-minute drive away. And there’s plenty more activity if you require it too, as activity centres nearby can sort you out days of horse riding, abseiling, climbing and caving. All this activity isn’t mandatory, of course – this is an equally fine location for days pottering off to local pubs, pigging out on pudding in Bakewell or taking a leisurely stroll around the Chatsworth Estate, 20 minutes away. And if even that’s too much, you’d be welcome to spend some time loafing about on site: there’s heaps of space here, and as facilities have been kept quite minimal (just showers and toilets) there should be a good serving of peace and quiet to go with it all. Guests are welcome to light up a barbecue or campfire for cookouts and keeping warm; Tideswell’s the place for supermarket supplies, and it’s also handily got a fish and chip shop and a couple of pubs for days when your firelighting skills aren't up to much.
