Wild Canvas is a limited-capacity riverside campsite that blends the best bits of a festival - music, playfulness and shared experiences - with the calm, comfort and space of a beautifully curated camping retreat. It takes place from 6 - 31 August 2026.
The camping fields are set in beautiful riverside meadows, bordered by ancient woodland and historic park land. Out of bounds for hundreds of years, the banks along this stretch of the river Ouse have been virtually unvisited by the public, and are still home to vibrant Kingfishers, flashes of dragonflies and a family of swans.
It’s a safe, inclusive and multigenerational community where guests feel welcomed, unrushed and free to settle into their own pace. More than 30% of our guests return year after year, and that tells us everything.
Enjoy paddle boarding on the river, kids playing in the long grass, and at night, sitting around camp fires under big open skies.
Everything at Wild Canvas is designed to feel easy, social and grounded in nature, with a balance of fun, creativity and space to slow down.
Across the weekend, guests can take part in playful and creative activities, family-friendly sessions, and organised experiences designed to bring people together. Alongside this, wellness offerings such as yoga, wild sauna sessions, treatments and gentle movement provide opportunities to reset without the pressure of a retreat-style schedule.
The riverside setting invites paddleboarding, canoeing and wildlife spotting, while on-site food traders, coffee vans and a fully stocked bar keep everyone well fed and watered. Carefully curated music from live artists and DJs runs throughout the stay, from laid-back daytime sounds to lively evening gatherings that feel celebratory without ever tipping into overwhelm.
Whether you come with family, friends, or just yourself, you’ll find your rhythm here.
Our activities and wellness program can be explored and booked on our own website: www.wildcanvas.uk
