Two acre quiet cherry orchard site based around a Tudor Manor house 1547 that gives its name to our village. Pets are welcome and a crew member is always around the reception or farm to help out. The Campsite is open from 1st march until 31st October. The local area is awash with things to do. Faversham once the busiest port in 17th century England for its wool trade has the longest complete medieval street in the country. A wealth of little shops, cafes and pubs as well as the country’s oldest family owned brewery Shepherd Neame. Whitstable sitting just along the coast, famed for its Oysters and Sunsets is a fun beachside community bustling in the summer months and hauntingly bleak in the winter ones. The World Heritage sites of Canterbury are just a fifteen minute trip away with all its well documented history and plentiful shops and eateries.

Veteren Oaks and Sequoia Grace the woodland hillside with badgers and foxes in the sandy hills, buzzards and kites soaring the thermals and micro pigs grazing the wildflower meadow and wallowing in the ponds full of dragonfly and newts. Natural spring water issues from underground and was pumped by hand up the hill to the Manor House in victorian times by hand as their drinking water. More recently this high quality water was diverted into fish stock ponds and now is tapped as the finest fresh water for water ceremonies bathing therapy and herbal preparations. Great space for a family or romantic getaway or larger group party. If you are a group under 10 people please expect to share the space with others but we'll ensure you have your own private area! Bring your sound system and have your own party or event. Music must be lower after 11pm as houses are 500metres away. Price is 20 per adult 16 or over per night 11am to 11am checkout. Overview

Campsites in Camber Sands

The clue is in the name; Camber Sands. It’s beach as far as the eye can see here – a massive expanse of golden sand at low tide with grassy dunes providing the back drop. It’s a popular place for picnicking, paddling, horseriding and beach games – and a renowned spot for kitesurfing too. Situated on the south coast, where Kent meets East Sussex, the village of Camber has a few places to eat, drink and pick up a bucket and spade but it’s nearby Rye that provides interest outside of the beach. The combination of historic Rye and beachside Camber, all within relatively easy reach of London make it a tempting destination for a camping or Glamping Holiday. There are all sorts of sites to cater to all tastes – including plenty which get the Hipcamp seal of approval.

Things to do in Camber Sands

Days on the beach are top of the list when it comes to camping at Camber Sands. Swim, sunbathe, build sandcastles and make the most of the water in whatever way suits you best. There are a number of kite surf schools which offer lessons too. Camber Sands is sandwiched by nature reserves – with Dungeness RSPB on one side and Rye Harbour Nature Reserve on the other. Historic Rye, a couple of miles away, is a lovely place for a wander with plenty of shops, pubs and eateries among its cobbled shops as well as the Rye Museum and Rye Heritage Centre . You can pick up the catch of the day at one of the fish shops in Rye or other-worldly Dungeness which also offers the chance to climb the lighthouse or step aboard the little trains of the Romney, Hythe and Dymchurch Light Railway .
