There are toilets and a washing machine. There is also a place to do some washing up if needed. The campsite is located 5 minute walk away from a bus stop that can take you into Cambridge. We have a shared under cover space and also an outdoor fire-pit to gather more than 20 people comfortably. There is a simple compost loo for your use with hand-washing and dish washing area outside. And the rest is all Mother nature! There is no running water or drinking water. You will need to bring your own. No electricity points or WIFI are in the campsite and no masts nearby so enjoy the EMF cleanse. Loved this campsite. So tranquil and quiet, which was a welcome break from the city. We pretty much ended up with the field to ourselves. Lots of walks and cycling routes from the site, and lots of nice nearby pubs and villages. Helena was very helpful and provided us with lots of local recommendations. We will definitely be back.

Lovely family friendly quiet site, well maintained. River at the bottom is great, we kayaked and paddle boarded, kids swam in the river too! Close to large supermarkets (5/7 min drive) and March town in a short drive or 35 walk along the river. Perfect for a few relaxing days away. Nice greeting at the toilets in the mornings from Jaffa the cat too 😊

The campsite is great. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. The only slight issue is there are only 2 toilets and 2 showers, so you have to wait to use these when the site is full. However, having easy access to the river is a massive bonus, we were either on or in the river every day. Paddle boarding, kayaking, swimming or fishing. Overall one of the best sites we have stayed at.

Great site, however only 2 toilets for the whole site means a bit of a wait when the site is busy. The staff were very frieand helpful and having the river so close meant extra activities. We were on or in the river every day.

Just returned from 5 wonderful nights at Four Winds Campsite, we were a family of 4 and went with two other families. We were lucky enough to have sunshine every day and made good use of the river. We had 5 children between us ranging from 10 - 15 years old. We hired kayak's and rowed to March, we stopped off at a park for a picnic recommended by Debs. We had an afternoon in Ely and had another recommendation to eat dinner in The Cutter Inn which was a really lovely meal. We hired paddle boards another day, the Dad's enjoyed some fishing and the campsite was big enough to play football or rounders with ample space. There was a basketball hoop, we took a slip and slide, badminton net, elastics, and light up frisbees. The pizza van on Friday night was great, particularly as there are no BBQ's allowed due to the hot weather. The small shop sells ice creams and cold drinks. The washing up area is undercover with Jaffa the cat hanging around. The only negative is there are only two toilets each with a basin, so there was sometimes a queue as its the only area to brush teeth, a couple more basins or a portacabin of extra toilets/sinks would make this campsite perfect. There are only two showers as well but they were always hot and clean. Debs was really friendly and helpful, we would recommend this site to anyone wanting a relaxing stay with watersports as an added bonus.

We had a lovely 2 night stay in the woodland. It felt secluded and was very peaceful. It’s a great off grid site with lots of great spots to pitch up in the trees or the meadow. Jon was very nice snd helpful, provided us with a wheel barrow to help shift our camping gear and even carried a few bits himself as we walked and talked about the land and his journey managing the farm. We really felt like had ‘got away from it all’ for a few days, we loved it and will be back.

Weekend Trip to Cuckoo Farm Campsite

We went in our campervan last year and the camp had about 12 units. We’ve just returned from a few nights there over the weekend and was a little shocked at the sheer numbers on site. Manager said that they were expecting 120 to arrive on the Friday. Bearing in mind that no caravans are allowed, the majority were tents with a lot of children with no shower or toilets. 2 men’s toilets and 3 showers for that amount of people was clearly not enough and so queuing was a bit of an issue. We left on the Monday as did a lot of the units and it was therefore tranquil again. I would return but only midweek and out of school holidays.

Helena and family warmly welcomed us to their campsite. The large spacious field was peaceful and all the facilities were clean and close by. Great firewood and pit provided along side some delicious homemade burgers at a very reasonable extra cost. All in all, a delightful and delicious weekend. Thank you all!

Our second visit here and still as good as the first time. Bear and Silas are so welcoming and friendly, couldn’t be more accommodating, our boys (dogs) were spoiled with fresh goats milk and attempted to make friends with the chickens. Great dog walk from the site along the canal makes it even better. It has what you need, toilet under the stars and warm showers (although didn’t use them this time). If you want to escape, have a quiet night, and get back to nature this is the place!

I had such a lovely stay here. It’s a quiet little campsite with plenty of space, making it perfect for switching off—or, in my case, a working holiday! The co-working space was excellent, with reliable internet and electricity, so working during the day was effortless. This isn’t just a dog-friendly campsite—it’s dog heaven. During the heatwave, the pond was perfect for keeping the dogs cool, and Silas and the family were so welcoming to both me and my dogs. I’ve genuinely never seen them have so much fun. The resident animals are an added bonus. Olive and Pip, the friendly goats, are absolutely delightful. Rodney the pony seemed a little shy at first, but we became friends and he’s incredibly sweet. Even the chickens provided entertainment, and the dogs loved pottering around watching them. All in all, this place is a hidden gem. I absolutely loved my stay and would come back in a heartbeat. Highly recommended!

Great place, was able to set up campervan and side tent in a lovely location, with sun set to the left, woodland behind and goats and pony in paddock in front of us. The whole site is a gated area so was great for our dog to run around freely, making friends with the chickens, goats and other dogs. Silas was a great host, very friendly and helpful. Would highly recommended for a stress free, chilled camping experience

Jon is a really welcoming, accommodating and conscientious host. We strung up hammocks in the woodlands, which meant we got to wake up with the natural sunlight to the beautiful sound of the birds. There are some wonderful farm animals, including some adorable pigs and rather inquisitive sheep! The lack of running water is a slight drawback, however it is made clear in the listing and we came prepared with plenty of water.

Amazing spot! Helena and Duncan are brilliant, accommodating hosts with lovely dogs too! The campsite isn’t too close to the loo & shower but it’s a lovely easy walk and adds to the magic of being secluded in a lovely meadow/woodland.
