We loved our short stay at Four Winds. The river is right next to the site so we took a couple of paddle boards and were able to paddle into town. Safe, clean, welcoming site. Great pizzas on Friday night too.

I loved our 2 night stay with Deb and Hannah, it is a stunning area to camp in the beautiful gardens, well maintained toliets and showers, also an added bonus of a washing machine and dryer, the camp shop was great and so convenient to access/buy snacks and drinks, me and my sister went on a 4 hour canoe trip and saw the stunning sights around March, I would highly recommend other to stay here and will definitely come back to stay in future

We really enjoyed our stay at Four Winds - the pitch was level, good sized and clean. Showers and toilets were well maintained. Great access to the river and the little shop onsite provides snacks/drinks. Pizza on Friday night was a hit!

Gorgeous little camp site, perfect for families, very peaceful and the river was fab for paddle boarding and swimming. Very clean and staff were super friendly and helpful, pitches are very generous making it feel spacious and private, would definitely recommend this little gem.

We stayed here for 2 nights over the bank holiday weekend with our 3 children and 2 labradors.
We used our inflatable kayak on the river as many families did, I would just highlight that the river to the left of the campsite can get a little fast in the wind and can be difficult to navigate back to site. We walked into March and had lunch at The Acre which was good. Walk to March took about 45 mins, slow walking, however, to walk by the river all the way you need to cross over a bridge on a fast road- there is a footpath though.
The site itself is well kept and the wardens are lovely. Gutted we didn't arrive on the Friday for Pizza night! The pitches are very spacious and there is plenty of room for the kids to play games and stretch their legs. People have a good time, however, remain respectful of the other campers.

Very nice camp site near the river witch is fenced in with a coded gate so you feel nice and safe the staff are very welcomeing and friendly nice paddle or stroll down to march where there are a couple of pubs and lots of shops

A another perfect stay. Went to Four Winds last year for the Easter weekend. And again this year. Both years the weather has been a challenge. But the warm welcome, fantastic service, and amazing facilities make up for any rainy weather. Had pizza on Friday night, highly recommend you do the same. Please visit Four Winds, you will not regret your stay.

Such a lovely site. Very tranquil. We biked along the river into town which takes around 15 minutes. The facilities are clean and the kiosk/shop is a real bonus. The private launch straight onto the river was amazing for paddleboarding. We can't wait to come back.

South Cambridgeshire
Cambridge is top of the to-do for most travelers to South Cambridgeshire. Follow in the footsteps of Sir Isaac Newton and Lord Byron as you admire the Gothic architecture, stroll the riverside parklands, and go punting along the Cam River. Outside the city, sloping chalk hills and rural farmlands provide options for country campers.
Fenland
Patchwork farmlands give way to pancake-flat marshlands north of Cambridge. Enjoy leisurely bike rides or wildlife walks around the Fens, take to the water for a narrowboat cruise, or enjoy fishing along the riverbanks. The market towns of Whittlesey, Chatteris, and Wisbech are the main hubs, and peaceful camping grounds dot the surrounding countryside.

Northwest of Cambridge, the market towns of Huntingdon and St Ives lie along the Great River Ouse. This rural region provides plenty of ways to escape the crowds, from fishing and bird-watching at Fen Drayton Lakes to woodland walks in the Hinchingbrooke Country Park. Both towns have a choice of camping sites and caravan parks, and you’re never far from the water.
