Weekend Trip to Pytingwyn Woods

Absolutely beautiful site! Really well looked after and the stream was so lovely. Very quiet even with other campers. David was a great host, came to check we were all okay and settled. Also, very close to town so wasn’t very far to go if we needed anything but far enough away that it was quiet and peaceful. Would highly recommend this site and would go back if in the area again.

Such a gorgeous camp site will definitely return! There were lots of tents and campers around the site but still felt very calm and peaceful and plenty of space to pop up my tent :) The cafe was an added bonus and the drinks were lovely. The views from the site were amazing, only had to walk 30 seconds to the edge of the cliff and you had the most amazing view. When I arrived the staff gave lots of recommendations and help with the area. I took a walk to the pulpit inn which is about 20 minutes away and had a lovely dinner. Again I had an amazing experience and will definitely be back :) thank you!!

Beautiful scenery all around and always left clean and tidy. David the host is friendly and helpful, he stopped and chatted for a little while. I had the place to myself for a second time! There's Plenty of animals and wildlife around too, horses ducks kites bats and squirrels!

1 night at Crooked Willows Farm

Great stay and great value. A rural, pretty field with lots of space provided a perfect overnight stop in our off-grid camper van. Level areas can be found and shade thankfully (it was 30c!). Slept beautifully and woke to a pink sunrise and the sound of a distant peacock! Other campers were quiet. Zero litter. Clean compost loo did the trick. Richard’s directions were excellent and he met us swiftly on arrival. Perfect. We leave with only happy memories.

A lovely basic campsite with toilet and washing up facility. Beautiful views and peaceful with walking routes from the site. A friendly welcome from Janice and Paul. The grandchildren enjoyed their stay and walk to Miller's Dale and watching the on site cows. We would love to visit this site again.

Genuinely lovely, well appointed space! The grounds felt peaceful and the meadow was gorgeous, full of flowers and safe for our girls to run barefoot. With only four pitches in the first spot we felt very secluded. Fire pit was a lovely social space.

Beautiful setting. Clean toilets and washing up area. USB phone charging. Plenty of fire pits to go round. Easy pitching and a few tables to use. We had one noisy neighbour who turned their music off when the owners came round early evening so not too much bother. Normal farm and animal noises should be expected. Field on slight gradient. Thank you for an easy stay.

Weekend Trip to Tomkins Farm

I loved camping at Tomkin's farm. The site is surrounded by beautiful countryside and there were lots of interesting meadow flowers, insects, birds, and animals to be seen in the area. The llamas, alpacas and bactrian camel were fascinating for the children and the llama behaviour in particular was of deep interest to the girl in our group. The showers and toilet facilities were in good shape and water was good and hot. Signage for drinking water and women's only toilet could be clearer. The footpath to the local pub was easy to follow and the pub itself was good.

Weekend Trip to Tomkins Farm

The campsite is lovely and situated in beautiful countryside. Facilities are good, although signage around the women's only toilet and the drinking water tap, could be better. The showers are very hot, and the one cold shower was very welcome on the hottest days. It was lovely to walk to see the alpacas, llamas and camel - the latter of whom was very sensibly staying in the shade. The walk to the nearest pub is very pleasant!

It's a very pretty campsite, with spacious pitches and clean facilities. There weren't many people and were quite spread out - brilliant that everyone respected the 10:30 quiet time. We brought our own SUP and were able to enjoy the river. The shady "fairy garden" saved us when it was really hot! Debs and Hannah were always happy to help and it was easy to get hold of them, nothing ever seemed too much trouble.

We loved our stay! Pridie's place is gloriously situated with views of the hills and lots to do nearby. The bell tent was very comfortable, facilities all there, hosts welcoming and helpful. Will be back!
