We are a family run farm situated in the beautiful Frome valley. The farm has a range of interests from the traditional Jersey milking cows to a community of workshops used by local craftsmen. The cafe serves cream teas from Easter to the end of September and pizzas are sold in evenings during the summer months.
Ours is a small family run camp site with the River Frome on one side, next to the medieval buildings of Stowford Farm. The river is suitable for fishing, boating, swimming and paddling. Historic Bradford-on-Avon is only a 5 minute drive and the City of Bath 15 minutes. For those who enjoy more rural pleasures, 200 metres from the campsite Farleigh Hungerford boasts the only river swimming club in the country, and you can become an instant member for a very small fee.

We’re in a great spot if you love fishing, kayaking, gorge walking, cycling, seasides, fossil hunting, wild swimming, fell running, bird watching, archaeology or even Viking history!
We are 9 miles from the mystical Glastonbury Abbey and Tor and directly on a Sustrans 33 cycle path route. The River Brue runs alongside the campsite with damsel flies fluttering by and kingfishers darting back and forth. We are on the Somerset levels so the sunsets are amazing as well as night time stargazing. We have a private, wooden jetty where you can launch your own paddle board. It’s a perfect get away for campers and nature lovers. Bring your own raised BBQs and logs or buy firewood on site. A family run campsite around 30 miles south of Bristol on the banks of the River Brue, it has a relaxed vibe and we try to keep things simple and straight forward. It’s ideal for doing some day trips nearby, then lighting the BBQ and playing Frisbee (games box you are most welcome to use). Shower and toilet, drinking water, washing-up sink in garden kitchenette.
Our big sister site is just 4 miles away, and the café bar at 'Wall Eden Farm' serves fantastic coffee, cake, and family-made Somerset cider. If looking for classic countryside pub meal The Duck at Burtle and The Bird at Westhay are local favourites, be sure to book! Burnham on Sea close by has great fish and chips, a sandy beach, a pier and promenade if you like salty fingers and sandy toes.

Nice piece of land with a wild camp feel. I met Dave when I arrived, he seemed like a lovely chap.
The field will be muddy when wet so if you’re in a van beware. I chose to spend my second night on the hard standing as it was very wet and I’m glad I did. Even if I avoided getting stuck I would have churned up the ground pretty badly
Lots of fire pits dotted around which was really convenient for a camp fire

Weekend Trip to Felin Uchaf Meadow Camping
This place is so unbelievably whimsical. we stayed in the roundhouse bunkhouse and it was just perfect - even through storm Dave. We woke up to the sounds of animals and the stream just outside our patio each morning and it couldn’t have been any better. The volunteers at Felin Uchaf are just amazing - they keep the place so clean and tidy and it is perfect for anyone to visit. The only thing I would add is we could’ve done with a heater/heated blanket etc as there was a storm when we was there - but that is our own problem for becoming unprepared. I will 100% be returning to this site.

Found this place last minute and so glad we did. It’s a really beautiful bit of land and felt way more private than a standard campsite. The highlight was definitely the stargazing there’s hardly any light pollution so the sky was incredible. It’s very chilled out and Kate is a great host. Exactly what we needed to just switch off for a bit.

David land was very convenient and very clean. Loads of spots to make a fire and great areas to camp by the river. The onsite compost toilet was very clean and maintained. David is a great host I highly recommend staying here.
Site is also a quick drive to the town center and large shops for fire wood or snacks.

Weekend Trip to Felin Uchaf Meadow Camping
Loved everything about this place. Excellent vibes. Great sense of laid back community around (and I'm including the trees and the piglets and the ducks wandering around, alongside the beautiful folks running things and the neighbors and other visitors hanging out at the cafe) while also very much having the solitude we were seeking. My first time in the country, and I felt very at home here. We got great recommendations for beaches to go to as well. I hope to go back before too long.

This is the second time we've stayed on David's site, and the second time we had a fantastic stay. We pitched our tent in the woods by the river, such a nice place to wake up to! Very basic, with just a loo, but thats absolutely perfect for a quiet get away, getting back into nature.

Lovely location next to the River Brue. Fantastic facilities, including hot showers for no additional charge and a kitchen where you can make brew. I went at the very start of the season and had it all to myself which, given how burned out I was from work, was fantastic. I will return later in the year when the weather is better, and will use the site as a base to visit all the archaeological sites and monuments the area has to offer.

Really lovely site near Brecon! Perfect spot for wild camping with river, forest and field and basic toilet. Night sky was so clear and the woods were lively with wildlife. David and his horse were both very friendly! Both me and my dog Barney had an amazing stay and did a lovely circular walk to Pen y Crug the following day. Will most definately be back!!

I can’t tell you how peaceful, how pleasant and enjoyable my time was properly. I’ve left today relaxed because I slept incredibly. The lake which is 5 mins away is spectacular. Honestly everything you can think of is provided. Because it’s a smaller site the attention to detail is doubled. Great energy, owners are incredibly welcoming and sweet. I feel like they do anything to make your stay pleasant. I will be back, 100%. I want to come for a clear night because there is no light pollution so the stars will be incredible. Hot showers, lovely clean bathrooms. Also they have lots of spare bits, I needed a pot for cooking and there was a plethora to borrow from. 10/10

Fantastic hosts who met us on arrival, very helpful friendly and informative. We were lucky enough to have the pick of where we wanted to set up and we chose a lovely spot with a short walk to the facilities. The facilities were well kept, clean and tidy and had everything you would need for a comfortable stay. We were lucky enough to be greeted by the geese when we woke up today, although we weren’t as lucky with the fishing! Our hosts were kind enough to tell us about their farm shop and cafe where activities such as air rifle shooting and axe throwing were available which we will definitely look at doing next time🙂 Our hosts were so accommodating and even cooked us a delicious breakfast when their cafe was usually closed(Mondays) From start to finish a fantastic stay we were well looked after and cannot recommend this place enough. They also have some impressive looking glamping pods and log cabins-some have hot tubs which is something we will be considering for our next visit. Thank you again Andy, Allie and staff x
