Learn more about this land:This comfortable and spacious yurt is located on the 30-acre property of the historic Paisley Mill along the Teeswater river. With three large windows, a dome skylight, and wool felt insulation, the yurt provides a wonderful "glamping" experience. There is a double bed and a single bed in the yurt along with a cooler, table, chairs, and storage space. In the future there will be solar power, but right now the lighting available is by a battery powered lantern (provided). Next to the yurt is a picnic table, fire pit, and a sawdust toilet. There are basic utensils, plates, bowls, pots and pans available in the yurt. Bring your own: camp stove, water, bedding, pillows Important to Note: The only heating source is a wood stove. You need to be comfortable using a wood stove safely to stay at this yurt. While the yurt site only a short distance from the main mill residence, it is secluded and offers a beautiful private camping space. The town of Paisley is only a 10 minute walk from the yurt. There is a grocery store, bank, LCBO, and a few really delicious restaurants in Paisley. The yurt is a 20 minute drive from Lake Huron and the beautiful beach towns of Southhampton and Port Elgin. The large lawn area is great for camping, campfires, playing games and relaxing while watching the horse and buggies of the local Amish and Mennonites go ambling by in a manner that speaks to a time gone by. We have now added a Bunkie that can be booked for a more comfortable camping experience. The Perth Harvest Pathway section of the G2G rail trail is quite literally in the backyard. for hiking , bird watching and biking. We share our backyard with our guests, we are very close to everything that Bruce county has to offer, port Elgin, Southampton, golf courses, different accesses to saugeen river where u can go fishing canoeing, tubing etc., supermarkets, native reserve, sauble beach and dozens of other ones…all at max 15 minutes distance… in the property you will find everything u need for a peaceful stay, hard to describe everything you will find but u can read our reviews, some of them have beautiful descriptions of what is here for you, you must love animals, since we have our pets all around, u are also super welcome to bring yours. One of the high points of here is the interaction u will have with the pets, they are all super friendly and will play with u every time they see u, they believe u r here for them, between, dogs, cats, birds, rabbits etc they will be part of your stay, this is theyr home, u r theyr guests, that’s how they think, so u must be a pet lover. We were bining the G2G and it is right off the trail. It is rustic, but was better then tenting! John provided us with sheets so we didn't have to bring sleeping bags. It would have been nice if there were screens on the window as it was hot and the mosquitos were hungry!

1 night at Willow Pond Haven

We had a very nice stay! The hosts and cabin was perfectly welcoming, very clean, comfy beds and linens, and smelled amazing of fresh wood. Lots of cute frogs to watch and catch by the pond in the evening and we loved hearing the cows mooing from the other field. Neighbouring campers were a good distance away providing privacy. We got a great prepped bag of wood, newspapers and kindling for the fire. Thank you for hosting us :)

3 nights at Willow Pond Haven

We had such a beautiful weekend away at Willow Pond Haven. Upon arrival and meeting Lisa & Scott, so kind and welcoming. She had picked a bundle of flowers and left wine glasses for us as we came to celebrate our wedding anniversary. Every moment that followed was perfect in every way; hanging by the pond, cooking over the fire, watching turtles & frogs, fireflies, bunnies. Hearing the horses and cows nearby. It was fantastic. The bunkie is perfect, smelling of wood. They offer lights and a fan that you can use to charge your electronics. Scott is so kind chopping wood and preparing bags to make campfires seamless. We got great suggestions from the two to check out a great brewery in Neustadt and enjoy a delicious buffet meal at Pebbles!! (Highly reccomend). We can’t thank you enough for the genuine hospitality and love you have for your space and what it has to offer. We can’t wait to join you again.

Weekend Trip to Willow Pond Haven

We absolutely loved staying here. I would definitely give this haven a 10/10! Lisa was a perfect host. We stayed at cabin #2 , a cute cozy cottage featuring a queen size bed with twin over top, small table and 2 chairs inside. Lost of space inside. A big Jug of water was supplied. $8 for wood on site. The new pine smell of the cottage was amazing to smell all night long. Cabin was spotless. Porta potty was clean with solar light inside which was very nice for night time trips. Was a total surprise when the neighbors, 2 horses walked behind the cabin just steps away. They can only be seen up close from cabin 2 . Cabin #1 was close by. I would choose that site next time as it had more of a in the woods feeling to it. Both cabins are close to the Porta potty and water. Kayaking,tubes and life jackets are available to rent for $10 a stay. There was no fishing in the pond. Was fun to visit the chickens and play corn hole. We brought are small dog, she also enjoyed herself and the water. We will definitely be going agian. Would be fun to rent both cabins with family next time. Definitely check it out!

Weekend Trip to Time at the Shores

We had a wonderful stay and would happily return. The site felt private and peaceful, with beautiful views over the surrounding fields and some incredible sunsets. The bunkie was clean, comfortable, and exactly as described. Having a fridge, climate control, and access to the hot tub made the stay especially enjoyable. Pedro was a friendly and responsive host. When we asked about the hot tub temperature, he adjusted it for us quickly. Firewood was provided, which made relaxing around the campfire easy. The location was close enough to Port Elgin for coffee, breakfast, and exploring local shops, while still feeling like a quiet escape from everyday life. It was windy when we arrived, but once things settled down, we enjoyed a campfire, stargazing, and a long soak in the hot tub. Overall, a great spot for a relaxing weekend away.

We had a wonderful stay at Lisa & Scott’s cabin! The space is romantic, spotless, and so cozy — exactly what you want for a weekend reset. Lisa and Scott were incredible hosts. They made sure we had everything we needed and checked in to see if we were doing okay, without being intrusive. The washroom is clean and accessible, and the whole cabin feels warm and welcoming. If you’re looking to recharge from work, this place is perfect. The gas station and stores are only a 7-minute drive if you need anything. There are also waterfalls and trails nearby to explore, but honestly we loved just staying in — enjoying the campfire and the pond view. Overall, we highly recommend this cabin for the perfect glamping experience. Thank you Lisa & Scott!

2 nights at Time at the Shores

Staying at Pedro’s felt like an exclusive adult backyard “cabin out.” Pedro’s hospitality was second to none. We felt right at home from the moment of our arrival. The cabin is perfect for unplugging with the comforts of electricity, light, mini fridge, heater & A.C. The outdoor shower and toilet we’re a highlight - again well equipped and clean. Having access to the outdoor BBQ & Grill over the fire made for some yummy dinners. Ask Pedro where to get the best meat in the area. Who isn’t a fan of a hot tub under the stars and twinkle lights. A relaxing perk that was used every evening we were there. Behind the cabin offers two muskoka chairs tucked in the trees overlooking a field where you can catch a beautiful sunset. There are chickens and an array of other animals that were also cool to visit. Saugeen River Access #3 is a short drive away as well as another access point just down the road. Don’t sleep on this sweet little piece of paradise, with Port Elgin only 10 mins away there is so much to do in this beautiful area. Can’t wait to return.

Weekend Trip to Willow Pond Haven

We had an amazing long weekend here and truly enjoyed every moment. The place was very clean, cozy, and beautifully maintained. Everything was neat and well thought out, with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The washroom was spotless, water was provided, and the hosts even arranged electricity for us, which was such a thoughtful touch. The whole atmosphere was peaceful and relaxing. The cabin smelled wonderfully of fresh wood, and it was so nice to fall asleep while listening to the rain. We used the grill, enjoyed the clean and well-kept property, and spent our mornings drinking coffee by the pond. Our dog had the best time running around, swimming in the small pond, and watching the frogs 🐸 she was very curious and really wanted to play with them! There were also chickens on the property, and we were happy to buy fresh eggs to take home with us. A big thanks to Lisa and Scott for their hospitality. They were very kind, welcoming, and responsive to any request we had. We truly felt welcomed and comfortable during our stay. We absolutely loved our stay and will definitely come back. It was a wonderful place for a peaceful getaway and an unforgettable weekend. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

2 nights at Yurt at Paisley Mill

We had an amazing time. The yurt is in a beautiful setting. One minute you are in the town, the next you are at the private yurt with your own river view. Beds were comfortable and we stayed warm and dry our second night when it rained. Highly recommended!!

Weekend Trip to Pinehaven Camping And Cabin

We had an amazing experience at this cabin with my friends. Everything was very clean and well taken care of. One of our favourite parts was the large gazebo , even when it rained, we were able to sit comfortably underneath and enjoy our breakfast without any issues. The location was also very easy to find, with clear and straightforward directions. Honestly, if I ever plan another camping trip or want a cozy cabin getaway, I would most likely choose this place again.Another thing that really stood out for us was the privacy. We didn’t see any cars or people around at all, which gave the place a true “deep in the forest” vibe. It was peaceful, quiet, and exactly what we were looking for. Big thanks to the hosts for such a great experience!
