Welcome to River Rock Eco-Camp! Tucked along the beautiful Maitland River, River Rock Eco-Camp offers a peaceful, rustic, off-grid camping experience just 10 minutes from Goderich and the shores of Lake Huron. You’ll be close enough to enjoy all the essentials—including the LCBO, Walmart, Canadian Tire, and Tim Hortons—while still feeling like you’ve escaped into nature. We offer several private riverside campsites, open from May through October. We welcome tents, pop-up trailers, and camper vans for a relaxed camping experience surrounded by nature. What you’ll find: • Riverside campsites with fire pits • Up to two tents per site • Fishing, swimming, canoeing, and exploring • A large communal area for games, gatherings, and socializing • Peaceful river views and plenty of room to unwind • Completely off-grid with no electrical hookups—solar chargers and battery-powered devices are recommended Camp amenities: • Communal outhouse • Water for cleaning • Garbage disposal • Firewood, drinking water, and ice available for purchase Families, groups, and pets are welcome! Whether you’re looking for a quiet weekend by the river, an outdoor adventure, or a place to gather with friends and family, we’d love to have you stay at River Rock Eco-Camp. This spacious site provides lots of room for tents and vehicles. It is private and boasts three hammocks for leisure time. There is currently a flatbed trailer at the rear of the site, but it does not interfere with camping space. The trailer will soon be used as the foundation to a large and beautiful bunkie.

Hilltop site overlooking the beautiful river. A one minute walk to the waters edge. Site is located across from outhouse and closer to our cottage but yet still enough distance. You may hear our little hens at times. 🐓

This trailer site is tucked away in its own private little slice of land. This is the true comforts of camping. The Trailer features a queen bed, bunk beds a fold down kitchen table and fold out sofa. Please bring your own sheets and pillows. The kitchen and washroom are not functioning due to not having power or water. Quick walk down the path to river.

Could not have asked for a better camping experience on Amber and Dan’s breathtaking river site. Everything we needed was supplied by the very friendly and accommodating owners! The site was just as described, with a perfect view of the quiet river. We had the most peaceful and pleasant stay. Can’t wait to come back!

My family & I stayed at the trailer site 7. Dan & Amber are fantastic hosts with a property that is incredibly beautiful 😍 The trailer was super clean and well kept. The river is gorgeous with lots of toads and frogs for the kids to catch. We had absolutely zero problems and really look forward to returning! 10/10 ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️

Amber was a great host! First of all, the site was beautiful, quiet, and just far enough from town to truly relax. The river is gorgeous and a perfect beginner canoing spot. Pet friendly and affordable. Also, she made the outhouse awesome - minimal smell, clean water pumped from a jug with SOAP, and feminine hygiene provided.

This campsite is an absolute gem! The grounds are beautifully maintained, peaceful, and offer fantastic direct access to the river for fishing and swimming. Everything was super clean, well-kept, and set up for a seamless getaway. What truly sets this place apart, though, are the hosts. They are incredible—warm, welcoming, and even offer canoes to use during your stay so you can get right out on the water. From giving us great tips to making sure we had everything we needed, their hospitality was top-notch. We couldn't have asked for a better experience and will definitely be back!
