I loved the cabin and its energy. It is even more beautiful in pictures than in person. The host was very friendly and her dogs and cats were cute and ready to be pet. The landscape looks like a postal card. Strongly recommended!

Weekend Trip to Haylmore Creek Farm

Simple clean but nice site. Bathroom v clean. Has wifi. Friendly dog and chickens provided great entertainment for the kids. We rented the canoe which was a real highlight. Would recommend.

A perfect site for camping! Thanks to Carmen for her welcome, and to her friendly dog Molly for her company at dinner and who garded at night. The chalet for the toilets is very nice and clean. A hot shower would have been nice but we were warned before our arrival that it didn't work. We recommend!

Michele has a kind heart and her animals are as sweet as pea. Very relaxing. Plenty of wildlife activity to watch on the river (bears, jumping sturgeon, osprey carrying fish). And it’s a short drive into Hope from the cabin.

I loved this spot! Even thouhh you could see a couple houses in view it felt super private. Right on the water. Beautiful view. Star gazing and rock hounding were fun! My dogs loved being there too.

Weekend Trip to Ipsoot Acres - RV and Camper ONLY

We were travelling through Pemberton on our way to Whistler on a busy weekend and all the area campgrounds were full. We looked on Hipcamp and found Gabe’s place was 5 minutes away. Gabe was quick to reply to our message and the directions to get there were easy to follow. We spent a quiet peaceful night. Unfortunately the wild fire smoke in the area blocked the beautiful views we saw in the pictures. We were thankful to have the spot.

We loved the camping there! The two hosts were super nice people and we ended up chatting quite a while while they showed us around. The campsite is very nice too: the pit toilet has a water bucket to wash hands and soap. Each campsite has a picknick table. There was only one other guest that night, so it was relatively privat. Would absolutely recommend.

Lovely little lot just a couple of minutes from Pemberton (Backcountry Pizza has delicious pizza) with a breathtaking view in the evening. No service but as a quick stop before/after Whistler it's perfect. Thanks, Gabe, for being responsive and all friendly before and during our visit!

Weekend Trip to Haylmore Creek Farm

Carmen’s campsite, HayLmore, is amazing. There is a washroom with a flush toilet and sink which is kept clean. Behind the bathroom building is a double sink, for dishes, dish soap included. Can and plastic recycling as well as a place for garbage- please keep garbage to a minimum as it’s a regular size garbage bin and there are other campers. We stayed a ponderosa which to me is the most private spot, and I’ll definitely stay there again. We had a 20’ pick-up with slider camper. Molly (the dog) keeps to herself these days as she’s getting a little older, but she still loves pets. Carmen sells her eggs, tomatoes (or veggies of the season too). Thank you Carmen and Molly☺️🙂😎

birkenfoodforest a perpetually unfinished art project in co creation with the beings that dwell and visit here along with sweet Mother Earth. Situated within St'at'imc Nation Traditional Territory. On an alluvial fan supporting a wide spectrum of diversity in the transition zone leaving coastal mountain rain forest, on the edge of semi arid. Bordered on the East by the flowing waters of Lakshmi. To the South, historical Portage road and Mars Xing, my neighbours dovetail log cabin, dated 1859 was once known as Johnnies RoadHouse. To the West the flowing waters of Saraswati and beyond the "Labyrinth" of bluffs known as Juniper Ridge rises to the alpine. To the North primary old growth forest housing a web of game trails connecting Birkenhead lake Provincial Park. This land was horse logged in the 50's, a few elder mother trees remain standing. There are many zones and edges. Including eighty year old Douglas Fir, Cedar, Douglas and Vine Maple,Maturing Cherry orchards, thickets of shrubs and herbaceous ones offering flowers and berries to the many birds and bees.In more recent years there has been much terrace work done offering meadows and forested camp spots, along with continued cultivation of perennial and annual foods and medicinals.

Past our campground is the beautiful Nahatlatch provincial Park which contains Francis lake, Hanna Lake and Nahatlatch Lake. The lakes offer an abundance of activities such as fishing, kayaking, canoeing, swimming and paddle boarding. The first lake is about a 15-20 min drive again on gravel road. 2 wheel drive accessible until 21km on the forest service Road after 21km you will need a 4x4, if you plan to travel to Grizzly falls or the 3rd Lake. New Glamping Dome Tents with Queen Sized Beds, table and chairs and hammocks including a covered counter for cooking . Unplug and Unwind to the sound of breeze through the trees and romantically flowing water from the nearby creek. There is no cell service or electromagnetic disruption here which makes for a beautiful peaceful mountain retreat. Bring your telescope for the opportunity to see clear, off the grid skies and epic star viewing for the astronomer in you. The bookings are quite private and there is a lot of space between sites. If one of the Dome tents is booked, I block off the other so you'll be the only ones on the whole gravel pad area. There are trees and visual space blocking anyones' view between sites Birkenhead Lake Provincial Park is walkable from our farm and there you can hike, fish, swim, paddle, and more! The road is a gravel road in winter would require 4x4. Otherwise we've seen many EVO cars (Prius Hybrid or fully electric Kia Niro) and even fancy Teslas and BMW sedan's on this road.
