MorningStar Woollen farm

6. MorningStar Woollen farm

58km from Kennedy River Bog Provincial Park · 1 site
Retreat to a quiet, living landscape where land, fibre, and story are woven together. Set against expansive valley views, three ecologically sensitive bell tents rest on cedar platforms within a regenerating ecosystem. This is MorningStar Woollen—a working regenerative sheep and flower farm where textiles, beauty, and land stewardship are practiced as one. This is not just a stay, but a slower way of being. The 10-acre camping area invites gentle exploration. A self-guided walking trail winds through the land, with thoughtfully placed plaques sharing the story of restoration, fibre, and regenerative practice. Along the way, observe rotational grazing as it shapes the landscape—an ever-changing pattern of movement, growth, and renewal. Here, the process behind cloth begins in place: in soil, in pasture, in the care of animals, and in the rhythms of the seasons. All sites are walk-in only, preserving the quiet and integrity of the land. Guests are asked to remain within marked areas to support ongoing regeneration. Each tent is intentionally and comfortably appointed for the 2026 season, while remaining fully off-grid. Please bring your own drinking water and come prepared for a more mindful, unplugged experience. The land is shared with wildlife—bears, cougars, elk, deer, and many others. A secure sea can is provided for storing all food and scented items. For those wishing to deepen their understanding, guided farm walks are offered Saturdays at 4pm, offering a closer look at the working systems behind the landscape. To ensure the safety of guests, livestock, and working animals: – No fires – No pets (livestock guardian dogs are on site) – Do not climb or touch fences – Do not feed or pet animals Rooted in reciprocity, this is a place of making and unmaking—where only what is offered is gathered, and care is returned through attention, respect, and craft. Come to rest, to observe, to sketch, to write, to imagine. To reconnect with the origins of material, and the quiet beauty of process.
