About Chims Cabins Located on the west side of Port Alberni, an easy 5–10 minute drive to the city centre, events, and work sites, Chims Cabins offers a peaceful alternative to traditional Port Alberni hotels and motels. The property first opened in 2018 as Chims Guest House, beginning with a single guest accommodation. As the property expanded to six self-contained units, the name Chims Cabins was adopted to better reflect the property. Each cabin features a full-size kitchen, private deck, dedicated guest laundry, and dedicated parking. As a family-owned and operated, award-winning business, we focus on providing clean, comfortable accommodations with thoughtful details that make guests feel welcome. The Bear Cabin is Our Largest Cabin at 575sqft. Offering Extra Space and Comfort for Longer Stays. Perfect for Up to Five (5) Guests. This one-bedroom includes a queen bed. Mobility-friendly with no steps in or out, and features the only bathroom on site with a tub-and-shower combo. Guests enjoy a full-size kitchen with a dishwasher, in-suite laundry, and a private entrance. Entertainment includes a 42-inch TV with a Netflix subscription. Dedicated free parking is available for one (1) vehicle, with additional parking upon request. Rates are based on double occupancy (2 in a queen bed). An additional charge of $25 plus 15% taxes per night applies for each use of the pull-out couch and/or cot. Note: Maximum occupancy is five (5) guests. These additional sleeping options are not set up prior to arrival. You must indicate 3, 4, or 5 guests when booking for the system to require additional bed(s) be made up. The open layout makes it ideal for shorter or extended stays. Entertainment includes a 42-inch TV with a Netflix subscription. Dedicated free parking is available for one (1) vehicle, with additional parking upon request. Rates are based on double occupancy (2 in queen bed). An additional charge of $25 plus 15% taxes per night applies for use of the pull-out couch. Note: Maximum occupancy is four (4) guests. This additional sleeping option is not set up prior to arrival.
