Pitch your tent in an open space at the base of the mountain. Relax on the deck of our Cottage and take in the fresh air whilst listening to the song birds. Located off Highway 6, a 10 minute drive to colourful Kalamalka Lake which boasts of sandy beaches and gorgeous hikes, and a 6 minute drive to beautiful Lavington Park with a playground, off leash dog park and free public swimming pool access during July and August. Walk down the path to your own private creek access, bring a book and relax in a chair by the water and take a dip in the refreshing creek. Note: This site is not accessible by car. You will need to park in front of the bridge, wagons are provided. If lots of rain is forecasted please bring tarps, there are plenty of trees nearby to devote too. There is a powered covered cooking/eating area. You may use the bbq and gas burners at no charge. Drinking and potable water is provided. This site uses a composting toilet with bags that will need to be removed after use and disposed in the appropriate location.

This is a quiet forested residential area in Sinixt territory. Recommended activities include floating down the river, canoeing the lake, hiking or climbing in Valhalla Park, soaking in Halfway Hot Springs or indulging in Nelson. We are surrounded by beautiful mountains and rivers. This valley has many outdoor activities and events and a very interesting history and culture including Sinixt, Doukhobor, Cannabis and Conscientious Objector. Nelson, Castlegar and Slocan Lake are all a half hour drive away. There are many other special places nearby such as the Goddess Pools and the Emerald Pools. Supplies and services are available nearby including firewood, toiletries, dog day care, massage, bike and canoe rentals, life jackets, rubber dingys and paddles etc. Let us know if you would like a referral to any of these services. There are many guides available for activities in the area including (water sports, climbing, skiing, hiking, artist tours, events, geology, mining, mushrooms, cannabis, garden tours and native history). You don't need one to get here, but its good to have a 4 wheel drive vehicle for some of the logging roads that are worth visiting. Roof and/or bike racks can also come in handy. The Vallican Whole Community Centre also has events nearby.

Most of our rescued farm animals roam the property freely and absolutely love human visitors. Families with children will also enjoy the natural play areas the farm offers including a shallow creek and visits with our chickens and ducks. Your dogs or other small pets are permitted in the camping areas only as our herd is terrified of dogs. There is another large area (about 5 acres) where well-behaved dogs can run off leash. We have one RV site with septic, water and 50 Amp power and can fit a 40 foot unit and 2 totally private tent sites. There is a full washroom with tub/shower, toilet and wifi access in our old farmhouse which is complimentary during your stay. Should you find that your desired dates are already booked, please reach out to us as we may have a back up spot available. Please keep in mind we are an organic farm homestead that offers an agritourism experience. We are not a manicured campground :) Your camping fees go directly to support our aging farm animals and horses.
