Nestled in a quaint old Fishing Town is a 4-Acre Forest property, that hadn’t been touched since 1885!
This land overlooks the North Atlantic Ocean, with a 25ft bank at the edge of the property, and almost 200ft of stone beach!
No potable water on this property (well water is available by hose for cooking/cleaning/showering), but 10 minutes by car you’ll find a Sobeys, a liquor store, a laundromat/cafe, a pub, a Home Hardware, and small local shops that carry camping supplies and so much more!
There should be a grey plastic rounded table available (just pop in the 4 peg legs), and 2 matching grey small coffee side tables you can use positioned under the Tiny Home. Please return them somewhere underneath the Tiny Home when you are done using them so that other campers may use them :)
30 min drive away is the infamous Martinique Beach, a very popular surfing spot!
Lots of hiking and site seeing available nearby as well.
A long drive way is the entry point to the camping site.
All I ask is that each camper leaves the property better than you found it. As you depart, another camper is most likely arriving so please keep that in mind.
Enjoy the peace and quiet under the stars, and fall asleep to the sounds of the waves breaking against the shore, and the leaves rustling in the breeze!
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
There is currently a Tiny Home on the property being built, and it is currently occupied by the property owner full-time.
Garbage pick-up in this area only allows one black plastic bag to be removed every 2 weeks. If your garbage is in a clear bag the city will take it and you can put your sealed garbage in a clear bag in the wood box at the end of the driveway. The city ONLY takes clear bags. Recycling is allowed in blue bags.
Due to this restriction, I am not able to handle all the campers garbage -- please take any that you create with you if you do not have clear bags.
If any camper is found to have stayed past the check out time, they will be charged for another nights stay.

Thank you and I hope you enjoy your stay!Nestled in a quaint, old Fishing Town, is a 2-Acre Forest property, that hadn’t been touched since 1885!
This wild forest overlooks the North Atlantic Ocean, and at the bottom of a 25ft bank is a coastal stone beach.
No potable water, there is an outside tap that you can use to boil and cook food with (it should be clean water but as it is well water and I do not test it monthly, I cannot say with 100% certainty that it is potable) - but 10 minutes by car you’ll find a Sobeys, a pub, a Home Hardware, a laundromat/cafe, and small local shops that sell everything under the sun.
Enjoy the peace and quiet under the stars, and fall asleep to the sounds of the waves breaking against the shore, and the leaves rustling in the breeze.
There is a gravel driveway to access the spot where you can camp. Feel free to park anywhere you’d like on the driveway.
We ask that you leave the site better than you found it - by cleaning up any bottles/cans/garbage that you brought with you. If you place your garbage in a clear bag you can leave it in the wooden box at the end of the driveway for garbage pickup. Thank you! The next campers, and the wildlife, will greatly appreciate it!
*Please be aware there is a 25ft bank at the end of the property*
Quiet time begins at 10pm, any complaints received by neighbours about campers after that time will be addressed, and possibly fined. Check out is at 12pm and any time spent on the site after that will result in being charged for another nights stay - unless you have booked a late check out.
Have a great camp!

Inclusion policyWe have a zero-tolerance policy against discrimination at Hipcamp. We are committed to helping our Host and Hipcamper communities be inclusive.
Camping at this location offers breathtaking ocean views and a peaceful atmosphere, ideal for those seeking tranquility. While the wind can pick up, there are areas to find shelter and enjoy the natural surroundings. The host, Michelle, is noted for being welcoming and helpful, but some visitors mentioned the proximity of her residence can slightly affect privacy. Campers appreciated the spacious setup, firepits, and the soothing sound of waves, though the rocky terrain suggests bringing an air mattress for comfort.

Gorgeous oceanside view
Tent · With pets
Gorgeous view, meters away from the water (down a slight hill) and lots of space to set up. Two available firepits. Very windy at times! Also, it's worth mentioning that the host lives on the property within view of the sites. She's great and unintrusive, but privacy isn't total.

Spectacular views!!! Looking pout over islands, points, and everchanging and mesmerizing ocean waves. Ever in motion. And the wind can blow, but there are spots to take some cover.
We enjoyed our conversation with Michelle. She provided a great oveview of her land and her vision of what it could be. Very much a work in progress, but very much worth staying there. Especially for primitive camping; fire ring, picnic table. Best for self contained units. Not so good for trailers. Some nice spots for tents. (more to come)
Michelle has great plans for improvements which will make it that much better! Our Dogs had a great time too!

Loved the peace and solitude that the site provided. The view was incredible over the water especially with the moonlight.
There is a bit of a bank and we couldn’t access the rocky beach below other than that it was a perfect night!

Beautiful and secluded spot with a stunning view, and space for a car and
tents right by the fire pit. It gets windy (I was there in October) but the tiny home offered protection from the wind, as did my car. This was my first time in this part of the province and it did not disappoint!

What a remarkable oceanview!! We absolutely loved it here. Definitely my idea of a perfect campsite. Pretty rocky and windy so a good idea to bring an air mattress and something warm if it’s not the peak of summer but that isn’t a problem since it’s a drive in site.

Thank you so much to Michelle for opening up your land for camping. My girlfriend and I had a fantastic time there watching the Perseid meteor shower and falling asleep and waking up to the sound of the ocean. Michelle is also kind and communicative and all of the instructions were clear. It was a magical time and we really appreciate it and would highly recommend this site!

Lovely quiet space
Tent
We had a lovely 3 nights here. Very quiet spot on a clifftop overlooking the ocean. Wish there was easy beach access, but we did have a great time sitting up top watching the mink run around on the beach down below and the eagles and cormorants fly past.
Nice big firepit and the porch of the tiny home was a useful spot to keep water container etc.
Sobeys close enough to be convenient but the space is still far enough off the beaten path that there is no traffic noise or other annoyances, just the sounds of the ocean.
We will be back!

a cool place
Tent
Its a great place. The ocean view is fantastic, and it was easy to find. The neighbours were friendly and helpful, and Mia the dog was beautiful. NO services, so I found the price just a little steep. In Newfoundland you can get a provincial camp spot for $20 with full services and wifi. But it is a cool place, and the first time I got to spend a whole night serenaded by the sea.
